No iLife updates?
No word on when to expect Mac OS X.5?
No iWork updates?
No touchscreen interface for a 60 gig hard drive?
What? What? - UNEXPLODEDduck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Does it run linux?
- o2o2o2o2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Where is the floppy drive?

- Hooger158, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Wow on the phone and Wow on Engagdget's amazing coverage of the keynote.
- flashboy131, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3omg i just saw it..... there goes the savings account
- o2o2o2o2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4As a typical first generation apple product, i wonder how many bugs it will have. It looks hot, but I'm going to wait for rev. 2
- dangerousnerd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3OSX?!?!?!?! on a phone! The newton is back, baby!
- wild, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3How about both? Cause thats what you got.
- Balanced, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Then why read the article?
- Quix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Booyah!!! I think I hear flag564 weeping from here.
Eat it, flag. - o2o2o2o2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4BUT DOES IT BLEND?
- brombie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3One of the screenshots shows "Cingular" clearly:

Looks like the bank account is about to take a big hit. - flashboy131, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2ooooh.
- Cander, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Looks is all a matter of taste. I actually like the look so far. But using it may be another matter. I would need to demo this before using it.
- Cander, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Better question. Does Chuck Norris want to use it?
- DooM, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I dunno - I hate the 'flat' phone thing, it feels like holding a (ok, really small) brick to my head, and I worry about fingerprints on the screen and effing up the screen (Nano problems anyone..?). And I know this makes me fanboy fodder, but I don't think it's THAT attractive - I was expecting something more...
- Strd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I guess Symbian OS is dead now. They shouldn't have closed their platform for independent developers with "Symbain Signed". And now it's too later.
- Cander, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Its good enough to store some local stuff. Sreaming is the main thing. And with Hardrive adds the possiblity of recording TV shows.
- MarkCiccone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2First pics of it! Man it looks cool, completely touch screen?
- 1021, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5meh... that's pretty small.
- stalky14, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah. I was hoping for a 10.5 release too. I was planning to buy a MacBook next month.
The phone is cool, but I'm not in the market. The TV thing is cool, but desperately needs PVR. - PEteandPEte, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3except for the whole motion sensor, landscaping photo feature, ipod intergration, proximity sensor for the ear, 2 mp camera...your rite, a carbon copy of the dell
- brstilson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2He definently has a lot of people to "***** kill" now. The chairs in his office are getting nervous.
- krazytom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2atbnet beat me too it. I thought $199 was a good price point. This stinks
- brstilson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2*chants* one more thing, one more thing...
- babymitch, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4http://www.macrumorslive.com/
No need to smash F5. - MarkCiccone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Widescreen iPod with touch screen?
'New mobile phone' too - "And we are calling it iPhone!" - Balanced, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Thank you. $299 is a bit high. Well, I wasn't really looking at buying this myself, unless perhaps it will act as a TiVo replacement as well.
- hoserb2k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2i MUST have this... I MUST!
- atbnet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well theres' your new iPod and iPhone.
- ajchavar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2that announcement yesterday about cingular loading google apps directly onto their phones makes a much bigger difference now
edit: my bad that was samsung and google. but, now at least the cingular+apple from the WSJ is confirmed - binmugahid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2As a product manager for a mobile phone company which must remain nameless, I have only one thing to say:
iQuit.
Steve Jobs is an Alien - BlackAdderIII, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The moment Eric Schmidt appeared, and then the big Yahoo himself, you could bet on this one thing:
Ballmer will be beating the wife tonight. - freshmaker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wow... iPhone...
- brstilson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's amazing how the reality distortion field is so powerful, its effect permeates even through a text article.
I can see it now: 5 years from now Microsoft putting out a device like this, ugly and choked with DRM. - flashboy131, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3"And we are calling it iPhone!
- superkendall, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3A stylus is more clunky and prone to being lost, I 've seen most smartphone users end up using fingers much of the time anyway even with a stylus at hand!
What they seem to have done is figure out how to use fingers in tandem in combination with gestures to have a UI you can really use your fingers easier than a stylus. It sounds like a great concept to me. I was leery of an iPhone but so far it sounds better than I had expected, and since I despise the RAZR I have today I'll probably be getting one.
The only thing I don't like is the camera. Unless it does videoconferencing, then I suppose I could tolerate it. - nirav72, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2man..too much glass..I would be worried about scratching up the screen...unless you can put the little film layer on it like the ipods without loosing the touch sensitivity.
- deliveranz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Looks great but how much will it cost Steve?
- flashboy131, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2there goes zune sales for the next couple of years
- VicHislop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2*****! Nice catch, though very unwelcome. I can't wait for Stan Sigman's fat ass to wobble out as the special guest.
- o2o2o2o2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3WOOT!

- o2o2o2o2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Its awesome. Its just a big screen, its only as attractive as your wallpaper. What more were you looking for? 164 buttons?
