- cornelli, on 10/11/2007, -4/+26Why do I get suckered into reading something just because it says top-10?
It works every time.- PDubNYC, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6I too look at all these damn lists, even though I rarely pick up any useful info. And I can't believe that an App uninstaller is on the list, yet something like Applejack isn't
- pmpk, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Agreed. Applejack is a lifesaver.
- CreativeGuy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"Why do I get suckered into reading something just because it says top-10? It works every time. "
Yeah. It's the same list of "mostly-*****" software every time too. Sorry folks, but Quicksilver is not the be-all, end-all that some Web sites like to believe it is. It's a great launcher app and a great search interface. All the other gadgetry is more digital ga-ga that takes most users longer to remember to use then to actually do it the standard way to begin with.

- jhave, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2QS is in a class of its own!
- PathDaemon, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10I agree. But that point does not need to be made in every list of Mac applications!
- Shaggy3, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14Ejector.. The most useless download ever.
- kris33, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2If you want an useless download, check out Fuzzy Clock. It translate the numbers in the clock into text.

- joe2100, on 10/11/2007, -5/+8Someone tell me how this article got to the #1 spot on digg? This is terrible..
- nuclearpenguins, on 10/11/2007, -11/+1Because Digg is full of people who, for some unknown reason, love Apple. I too think they're misguided, but if they like spending more money for the same hardware and an undersupported OS that's their business.
- ElbridgeGerry, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3@joe2100 (#c6639372)
Because enough people Dugg it to get it to the front page. Deal.
- zippy757, on 10/11/2007, -10/+2Didn't realize they were all the way up to 10 already.......
- Justinguder2, on 10/11/2007, -14/+1macs aint good
- sruffelman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The one to change file associations is definitely good. That is something that should have been included in OS X.
- puggy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I'm looking to solve this annoyance I have when doing an "Open With". For example, when you right-click and Open With a .jpg file, you get a list of all applications that can open a .jpg. I don't want to open .jpgs with XCode or Firefox or the ColorSync Utility--I just want Preview and Adobe Photoshop to appear there. I thought the RCDefaultApp program listed can do it, but it can't. Anyone knows how to remove programs there?
- Szandor, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4No Onyx?
- nycmac247, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Possible problems with Onyx when binding to Active Directory...

- peterinjapan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2USB Overdrive (great for controlling your mouse)
Synergy (little docklet in the menu bar for iTunes control, very nice, has optional buttons that look like boobies)
Yojimbo (couldn't organize my stuff without it)
Labels X (get rid of those puffy ugly color ballons)
Quickeys (natch) - afterpartyboy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2If you like THIS top-10, check out the other INANE top-10 Macintosh whatever lists brought to you by the AMAZINGLY TALENTED (wowowow!!) folks at LIFEHACKER, including but not limited to.....

- Kugo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I do not agree at all with LifeWanker. These "utilities" are for feeble clueless users. They're so irrelevant and uninteresting. I pity people like this who can use computers for years and still never get a clue.
- cuelebre, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I have never heard some of them I gotta try them out
- victrola, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Please tell me about appdelete. Is it worth it?
I AM a feeble clueless loser. We can't ALL be computer experts.
