Most companies see it as "Toguh luck, you can wait a week". As pierre said, "200.00 is a small price to pay to keep a customer", he is totally right, in 10 or 20 years when Reliant's Lexus is a piece of junk he may favor Lexus over others such as Infiniti, BMW, Mercedes, etc.

All they did was put that stupid dealership sticker on the back of my car (told them not to when i ordered it) which I had to remove, putting micro scratches in the clear coat in the process. They also got the wrong hubcap pattern, I said something, but they didn't believe me even though i watched the guy I ordered with write it down! They also gave me a choice of warranties to purchase without ever mentioning that I already had one with just the purchase of the car, wasted more money there.
And Toyota owns both Scion and Lexus... hmm. I think it probably depends on the dealership. The dealership wants the guy who just bought the Lexus to come back for everything, tune ups, oil changes, etc... My dealership must have been thinking about the initial sale only, expecially since they knew I was in the military and would probably never be to that dealership again. Blah. Just because this guy got a deal doesn't mean you will. - pierre, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Its not the value of the iPod, its the gesture. Most companies would just say sorry, its late, deal with it. Little things like that are difference between good and poor customer servce. 200.00 is a small price to pay to keep a customer.

When a company goes out of their way to apoligize to you for something that they can not controll, that goes a LONG way to making a really happy customer. The point of the story is no other car manufactuer is going to do this What did Ford do for all the people whos Explorers were flipping because of bad tires? What did chevy do for all the people whos cars were blowing up because of bad gas tanks? The list goes on and on and the answer is nothing. Lexus stepped up and took charge of the situation and offered something else on top to make that customer happy. Most of you that are bitching about it probably cant even afford a lexus so its just another reason for you to bitch and complain. Have fun on your commute to work in your cavalier

The IS350 is DEFINITELY the best car in its class for 2006 models. Bimmers beware... and prepare to eat some Japanese dust.

They just thought because his order was going to be delayed they thought to atleast satisfy the customer by giving a nano to show that they do mean they are kind of sorry. Plus would you want your car rushed, I'd rather have them take their time on it and get everything right so I wouldn't have any problems.
