- blaket, on 10/26/2007, -8/+95Microsoft also gave away free T-Shirts to the first round of customers in line when they released Vista. The owners of said shirts will have to wait till SP1 for the neck hole to be included.
- PsycoMonkey, on 10/20/2007, -2/+37Sweet! can't wait to use my $100 store credit on this!
- virtualball, on 10/20/2007, -1/+36Umm...no. They are doing this so the final copy of Leopard isn't leaked a week or two before it is even sold. How the hell is Apple screwing developers? They've provided access to Leopard since August 2006 and the past few updates were just polish and bug fixes. If developers wanted to make their apps, they could've done it 6 months ago and it would've been able to run on the GM. And boo-hoo that developers, who admitatedly paid a lot of money, don't get to have the OS a week beforehand, do you think people are that upset?
- FunkyWitDaSysTm, on 10/21/2007, -2/+25apparently you don't "prefer use" proper grammar. perhaps you should switch to leopard. it has a grammar check feature.
- weirdlookinguy, on 10/20/2007, -6/+26Free T-Shirts?... Where?!
- Torpov, on 10/25/2007, -1/+19I would go with digging this at 2am, cause free shirts are pretty rad.
- NeoRicen, on 10/20/2007, -2/+19BOTH of you have it wrong, at WWDC 2006 he said Top Secret Features. At WWDC 2007 we got the new finder, stacks and quicklook and now in the final realease most of those 300 'features' were Top Secret at WWDC 2006.
You're as bad as the pre-release Wii people, always looking for some dumb ***** top secret feature that never existed! - Ai3d, on 10/26/2007, -3/+19Eh, What's worse? Looking forward to free t-shirts or digging this at 2 in the morning?
- inactive, on 10/24/2007, -0/+15What?
- NeoRicen, on 10/19/2007, -2/+17NO THEY AREN'T. He said Top Secret A YEAR AND A HALF AGO, at WWDC 2006! There's now a list of 300 'features' on Apple's website, most of which weren't there at WWDC 2006 and only showed up at WWDC 2007.
- neoneddy, on 10/19/2007, -5/+19I don't see it on any of my top secret places... I'll be at the release party.. man I'm such a nerd.
- defectDS, on 10/20/2007, -4/+18Except when they are all size XXXL. Thanks a lot fatties.
But they do make good blankets. And car covers! - antitab, on 10/19/2007, -6/+20What time warp are you "top secret feature" people in? The top secret comment was made at MacWorld and referred to the stuff that was unveiled at WWDC. What you're seeing at apple.com is what you're getting.
- valleyvideo, on 10/27/2007, -1/+14I liked the MacBreak Weekly suggestion that we all spend an hour donating blood to the Red Cross rather than waiting in line, and then drop by the Apple Store just before closing.
- FunkyWitDaSysTm, on 10/19/2007, -1/+13well, if you get your pc from apple, you can install it right away!
/***** - yabos, on 10/19/2007, -1/+13AT WWDC 2006, not 2007, get YOUR facts straight. I WAS AT WWDC 07, were you?
- DaffyDuck, on 10/19/2007, -1/+11Normally I would agree but in this case he's using it for emphasis and in this case I think it's called for to counter zetsurin's idiocy.
- keozen, on 10/24/2007, -0/+10Not only trolling but replying to your own trolling comment with another trolling comment.
You my good sir are king of the Digg Trolls. I'd salute you but alas I have zero respect for you. - Marshalrusty, on 10/19/2007, -1/+10You spelled "grammar" wrong. There's also no reason to capitalize it.
- JustinHorne, on 10/23/2007, -3/+12I wonder how long before we can Torrent the SWAG as well?
- DaffyDuck, on 10/24/2007, -1/+9This is obvious. You know, hiding your grand pronouncement in a url isn't necessary.
- NeoRicen, on 10/19/2007, -2/+10How was Jobs *****? They kept alot of features 'secret' that year which were announced later. Now you're just denying reality, Jobs did over do it with the term 'Top Secret' but he was hardly *****, there were features that were 'secret' at WWDC 2006.
- cappslite, on 10/24/2007, -0/+6I love Goooold!
- rabbro, on 10/19/2007, -0/+6Why is everyone keep commenting on the Top Secret Features... weren't they Stacks, QuickLook and the new Finder etc?
- yabos, on 10/19/2007, -0/+5Developers will get to download it from ADC shortly after release. If their apps worked on 9a559 then they're pretty likely to still work fine in the GM. Apple wouldn't be changing APIs much if at all after 9a559 since there were only 2 known major bugs.
- zeejay, on 10/19/2007, -1/+6I think it's cool and has more "shelf presence" than prior OSX boxes, which have been dull and lifeless.
- NeoRicen, on 10/19/2007, -0/+5Yeah they were, which is why it's so frustrating. People did it with the Wii as well, they all wanted to know what the secret controller was. It was announced and then everyone quote mined the hell out of Nintendo execs and started speculating about Top Secret features (which was the controller) which never materialized.
- NeoRicen, on 10/19/2007, -0/+4I don't know if it's just you but it's not me, I like it.
- Blackmane, on 10/21/2007, -0/+3They should ship free t-shirts with online pre-orders
- avatarpalin, on 10/19/2007, -1/+4Can I come... I can be 'The guy in the red shirt"
- MacParrot, on 10/19/2007, -2/+5If only Digg could invent some kind of secret feature that people could use to skip comment from painfully obvious idiots like you. OH wait! They did! ::blocked::
- inactive, on 10/19/2007, -0/+3eBay, roughly 7p.m., October 26, 2007.
- Rice, on 10/19/2007, -0/+3Is there anywhere else to get a Leopard t-shirt?
- celtboy, on 10/19/2007, -8/+11Is it just me, or does the whole timewarp background / box cover look a bit dated? C'mon Apple. We expect better. We expect trendy and stylish and images oozing with Apple Culture, not an 8bit explosion of a nasa.gov satellite picture taken in 1990.
- abhim8, on 10/19/2007, -18/+21hint; are the "top secret features" in this build?
lets hope so. - Codee, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2I'm quite content with my Mac's. All 5 of em'
My over zealous fanboy brethen gutted me for scoffing at how Apple can be too expensive.
Just calling a spade a spade, while on my MacBook Pro nonetheless.
Aw, Fanboys....they just crack me the hell up.
BTW-Diggs up baby, thx for the 2 cents. - FunkyWitDaSysTm, on 10/19/2007, -1/+3this is why i keep all my pr0n on an external drive
- Elric1977, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2Hey... didn't digg you down, but you know what I got for free from Apple? Time : ) I get all my work done AND play done, headache free I might add! And after two years everyone of my friends and family have finally stopped asking me to fix their ***** PC's : )
Just my 2 cents, now you can digg me down for getting to play lacrosse outside at the park with my son. - johnpaul191, on 10/21/2007, -0/+2it's a bonus for getting out to the store. they often have free stuff at store openings, OS releases and Black Friday.
people who like to shop online can buy the stuff on Ebay with all the time they saved.... since time = money and all that. - FunkyWitDaSysTm, on 10/24/2007, -1/+3aaaaaaaaaand blocked.
- inactive, on 10/19/2007, -0/+2Taking Bets on the first torrent site to get the final build
- BobOki, on 10/19/2007, -0/+2Lamp shade guy here....
- protogenxl, on 10/19/2007, -0/+2And the number one reason why Chia Earth is better than Original Earth.
Free T-Shirts - MacParrot, on 10/19/2007, -1/+3At 6'6" and 285 pounds I'll need a 2XLT
- Iwantawii, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2Report... expand comments... aaaaand report again.
- MacParrot, on 10/19/2007, -0/+2Is countering idiocy like his even possible?
- fangorious, on 10/19/2007, -0/+1with mama goat
- eyesee360, on 10/19/2007, -0/+1Unless you got a developer preview CD at WWDC '07, you missed the cool holographic printing they've done with the nebula background on the packaging. It's very neat looking in person.
- avatarpalin, on 10/19/2007, -2/+3Just seven days to backup your pr0n??? pffff amateur....
- 4ndr3w, on 10/19/2007, -0/+1If I could digg you twice I would.
