The ONLY reason I'd want a hacked iPhone is if I was in a country that didn't have a service provider that provided the iPhone. From what I've read (on the countless iPhone stories) at&t aren't great but they do provide decent service at a reasonable price (i pay the same price in the UK AND I don't have unlimited data). So if you're in the US right now and you hack the iPhone why would someone want to bother switching networks? And if you're abroad isn't it better to wait a little while and buy an iPhone with a contract.
