- TEHxINTERWEBS, on 05/01/2008, -0/+4Why yes... yes they are... THANK GOD!
- MurphyMac, on 05/01/2008, -0/+2I meant $10 on top of your existing AT&T plan for unlimited wifi. $10 a month isn't exactly free, is it?
- streak, on 05/01/2008, -0/+2If AT&T doesn't announce the free Wi-Fi, they can more easily take it away--or offer it only for an additional fee--if/when they determine the cellular network can handle the 3G iPhone load. Rolling it out quietly right now seems likely to be a hedge against overwhelming demands on the network when the 3G iPhone is first introduced. AT&T knows from experience that Blackberry and even 3G Winblows Mobile users don't use the Internet anywhere near as much as iPhone users.
- OSJunky, on 05/01/2008, -1/+3I think AT&T would rather people watch videos and browse web pages on their cheap - to deploy wifi than their more expensive 3G networks...in the coming months....

All BB has to do is...sell its units at a premium without offering any discounts .. and they will be treated as VIPs too.
- inactive, on 05/02/2008, -0/+1Apple is my tech drug pusher, and I am hooked.
- MurphyMac, on 05/01/2008, -1/+2Apple is the only handset maker AT&T has to cut a check for every month. Doesn't make sense that Apple customers are the only ones AT&T would offer free wifi to. If I had an AT&T non-iPhone I'd be screaming - if this is true. I predict $10 a month for free wifi. the iphone angle gives free publicity.
- fluidfoundation, on 05/01/2008, -1/+1Why wouldn't they? I mean, come on. Most phones out there are like menu items at Taco Bell. They are all the same ***** just rearranged differently with "Extreme" put in front of them.
