- Spartan61, on 01/14/2008, -0/+97this will fly off the shelves!
- drouk1556, on 01/14/2008, -5/+89So the new MacBook is going to be Phil Collins?
- mrfreeziexp, on 01/14/2008, -13/+94that's the stupidest name I've ever heard.
- bowe, on 01/14/2008, -18/+80lol. I can picture it now. After a huge buildup Steve lifts the curtain to reveal....nothing but air and then the Fanboys orgasm. And the price is great too $600 dollars and a 4 year contract.
- Psykus2, on 01/14/2008, -4/+62"Something in the air". I'm guessing WiMax and/or EDGE/cellphone network compatible laptops
- TheWorm, on 01/14/2008, -4/+47Has anyone thought that maybe "something in the air" is merely referring to the exciting energy of Macworld? I mean last year's "the first 30 years was just the beginning" wasn't directly related to what the product did, or what it was called, but the impact it was making. I think people are looking into this a little too much. Macbook Air makes little sense. It seems very un-Apple.
- osage, on 01/14/2008, -14/+54i can feel it. Calling in the AIR tonight.
"In the Air Tonight" is a song by Phil Collins which first appeared on his 1981 album, Face Value. It was also the first single of Collins' solo career, and remains one of his best known hits.
Boom - flipmeat, on 01/14/2008, -1/+36You think that's air you're breathing now?
- Zneo11, on 01/14/2008, -3/+30We don't care what your class schedule is.
- r55741, on 01/14/2008, -22/+48it's an apple fart
- nuhrd, on 01/14/2008, -1/+24That reminds me... I have to go return some video tapes.
- imightbewrong, on 01/14/2008, -3/+25or float off the shelves
- ScrabbyDoo, on 01/14/2008, -4/+24The word MacbookAir is actually input by the user into Adium. Anybody could have written that.
- rowlodge, on 01/14/2008, -1/+21a new apple shoe line.
- Raian, on 01/14/2008, -5/+25The MacBook Air is totally revolutionary-- it's actually made from something we already have in our bodies... air. It uses a new processing device called "your iMagination" and retails for $1,993.45. The MacBook Air fits basically anywhere actual air can, and can basically do anything your iMagination processor can process. The MacBook Air changes the way we use computers-- it's truly is the world's first portable, introspective computing device. Best of all it will be on sale Tuesday, and don't worry there is enough Air to go around.
- samukalra, on 01/14/2008, -0/+18LOUD NOISES
- kru1e, on 01/14/2008, -7/+23Not any worse than the Wii
- andymc1989, on 01/14/2008, -0/+16But this was logged before we saw the posters and all these rumors.
- PixelD, on 01/14/2008, -2/+17Phil Collins solo career seems to be more commercial, therefore more satisfying in a narrower way.
- logic, on 01/14/2008, -0/+14Wow, I've heard a lot of stupid Mac rumors the last few years but seriously, shut the ***** up.
- SLockhart, on 01/14/2008, -0/+14And that's putting it lightly.
- aristan, on 01/14/2008, -1/+14Own personal opinion... if Air means anything at all, I think it implies that 3rd party apps for the iPhone will be written in Adobe AIR. Apple keeps telling everyone to just write webapps, and AIR allows for easy conversion of a Webapp into an AIRapp.
- guise, on 01/14/2008, -1/+14Steve Jobs will be replaced by a gorilla for the bulk of the keynote
- Neoanarchist, on 01/14/2008, -1/+14I killed Paul Allen with an AXE TO THE FACE!
- Klarth, on 01/14/2008, -1/+13I remember when people said that about Wii.
Get over it. - TheWorm, on 01/14/2008, -1/+11Digg didn't give me my full time to edit my comment, but what I was going to add was that if Apple was trying to drop a hint I think they would have capitalized "air" to indicate a name.
- MrEdwardo, on 01/14/2008, -0/+9You sure?

- willdelaney, on 01/14/2008, -0/+8No, the new Phil Collins is going to be a MacBook
- inactive, on 01/14/2008, -0/+8Its COMING not Calling you bell end.
- sixthree, on 01/14/2008, -0/+7Burried for inaccuracy. Creating a username by typing in the first object you saw in your living room is the worst name ever.
- kris33, on 01/14/2008, -6/+13Why is he getting dugged down? I hope nobody was stupid enough to expect the real deal and this is about as great as a fake can get.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -1/+7Yeah, I was expecting MacBook Nano or something. But, it makes me wonder if there will be something special about its wireless capabilities in tandem with its size, given the name.
- neio, on 01/14/2008, -0/+6But how would you operate it, rub his shiny bald head?
- Dotcommer, on 01/14/2008, -2/+8Careful, sneeze and it'll be gone forever...
- MackPrime, on 01/14/2008, -2/+8shh, don't disturb the mating rituals

- inactive, on 01/14/2008, -1/+7Vista is a classy name despite the quality of the product.
- inactive, on 01/14/2008, -12/+17More unsubstantiated rumours from a website which didn't even create them. Buried as spam and inaccurate (in my mind, in reality just spam).
- sp89, on 01/14/2008, -2/+7I'm guessing there's lots of things in the "Air".
- laaabaseball, on 01/14/2008, -0/+5The All-new Macbook ronpaul: Guaranteed to get at least -12 diggs (unless Apple fanboys like ron paul, then it gets interesting?)
What me worry?
whoops... there i go acting like a 12 year old again...... - Tooley7, on 01/14/2008, -5/+10Wii
- jlmillstein, on 01/14/2008, -0/+5Macbook air? Doesn't sound like the kind of name Apple would give to a laptop. I would be surprised if it actually ends up being more than just a rumor.
- Typhoon2009, on 01/14/2008, -17/+21Thank god the keynote is on Tuesday. I have an English exam that day (which I'll get out of the way) and then a math exam the next day which is incredibly easy. This means I get to enjoy the keynote :D I always love what Apple reveals each year, even if I usually don't buy them >.>
- virtualball, on 01/14/2008, -0/+4*****. If there is 3G built in to the new MacBooks, I'd gladly sell my laptop and get a new one :)
- Drewboy64, on 01/14/2008, -0/+4naked gorilla
