- Snowcat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+21Man. When there's an ebay auction for your business card, that's when you know you've made it.
- jonbauer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12Hi all,
This is not a scam. I play Segway Polo with Woz every few weekends and promise to buy Woz lunch with the proceeds made from this sale (if there are any...)
Not planning to get rich from this sale. I think its interesting to see how much it will sell for...
- Jon - mycatsboots, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6It looks like a pretty cool business card. Every so often I have Jet Engineers stop into my store and hand me their Titanium AMEX cards and they feel powerful just holding (Not even because of the 15 million dollar spending limit either!)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4not for long lol
- ReBeLaCe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4High bidder.
- aaryn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Now let's see how big he's made it when the auction ends and we know much it sold for
- shyguy01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Sold for $560
- stuartm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Those cards are $11 each??
- jonbauer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4NOTE ALL! I have a committment from the WOZ himself that he will SIGN THIS CARD BEFORE IT IS SHIPPED. Please agree to wait until I can arrange for this signature if you win. No longer than a week or so...
- stuartm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It's metal and, I think, laser cut. It's pretty cool. It definitely has an edge on it and could do some damage if you tried.
- paulbrown83, on 10/29/2007, -0/+3So, if I win this auction, I guess that means I will have Woz's personal cell, home, and fax numbers, so I could give him a ring directly? And his email address, too? Just curious...
- doctabu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Not to be the hippie bastard in the corner but...
Couldn't some sort of fund raising for this be used for better things than a lunch for a millionaire who plays Segway polo? I mean, the business card is cool, but if it's metal, don't you think he's got enough money to buy himself a lunch? - gamabunta, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Woz should sign it for the winning bidder considering how much it's going for.
I'm gonna have to work up the nerve to ask him for one next time I see him. - doctabu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No, I know. It's definitely a fun thing to do, I'm not saying it's stupid by any stretch. I'm also aware that you're not trying to make money off of it... I mean, it's just a business card.
But, I don't know... it just sort of struck me as being a bit odd. - JynMeyer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Heh, you have my $7. I would ask to see if my uncle has one (he designed them) only at $11+ a pop, I dont think I will.
-Jyn - jonbauer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Totally dude, it's still nice to buy someone a lunch, dontchathink?
I'm just doing this for fun, I'm not trying to make money off of it... - JynMeyer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yup, to reproduce. So he better at least get that, or it would ironicly be Woz paying for some of his lunch. :-D
- jonbauer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah, I guess you would. His info is already available on the net if you look hard enough...
- bille309, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If digg is all about what the community wants on the front page should Kevin and Co. be taking much of anything off the front page?
- JynMeyer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Very cool, Jon.
Never thought you would be having a fun adventure like this, this week- did ya'? *grin*
And doctabu- being odd isnt bad. I think this is great fun, and as long as Woz isnt offended, I think jon should have his cake and eat it too. And Jon- eat a peice for me- Im on a diet, so I cant have any of that yet. - jonbauer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yep. He's signing it for the winning bidder.
- beelz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1front page yet?
- jonbauer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It WAS on the front page, but was removed. I don't think Kevin and team like eBay auctions getting front paged. I understand...
- kallgaier, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Interesting
- jonbauer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1See the follow up:
http://digg.com/apple/Follow_up_DIGG_Woz_signs_metal_business_card_and_book_for_eBay_winner - Pignanelli, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What are the special features of this card? Does it play audio or is that grate just decorative? How is it made, do you know? Will it cut you?
- JynMeyer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Cool, $410 I wonder where 2 days will take us?
You guys should do an Auction for Autism or something like that. Signed Woz card, all proceeds go to the research for autism or organization of choice.
"All proceeds go to the MAS- Macintosh Awareness Society" hee hee *SNORT!* - wastern, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1so is Woz cool with this? You selling his contact info and all?
- jonbauer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Nope. This has been pretty fun...
- jonbauer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2It's DEFINITELY a bit odd. The bid is up to 112.50 for a metal business card. I guess it isn't a COMMON business card, so it's kinda hard to really judge what it is "worth..." The moral of the story is "should anything really shock you in the internet(s)?" :-)
- neonsox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hey Jon, if you really do know Steve Wozniak, do me a favor. Let him know that I exist and thank him for all of this "personal computer" stuff for me. Have him email me too, just so I know he got the message. I'm over at that google one. Thanks a few million, eh!
- JynMeyer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1MWAHAHAHAHAHA! I heard Woz is in on it TOOO! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA *SNORT!*
We will see. - dan_cameron, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1It says "slackberry" in the adress you idiots.
- jonbauer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Yes, I'm gonna try to get it signed before shipping it...
- kallgaier, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Don't look too hard... it's right here...
