Now that's something. - DouglasScott, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1IBM has morphed into something truly bizarre.
- topping, on 04/16/2008, -1/+0IBM follows their nose, and it's hard to argue they don't know what they are doing. They are one of the innovators of the modern operating system, and Watson Research Center is where a lot of their seminal work comes out of. They recognize a superior desktop operating system when they see it, and if it was Vista, that's where they would be going.
I wonder how the "Vista@IBM" group is doing, haha.

- carpetbomberz, on 04/16/2008, -0/+2As one of the participants quoted in the study said, "I'm glad IBM is trying to think different"
- thenumber8, on 04/16/2008, -0/+2he actually said, “I commend IBM on taking this bold step in providing an alternative to Windows. It will definitely allow us to think different.”
- nufoto, on 04/16/2008, -1/+2Well I guess it's better to be late to the Party than miss it altogether ....Gee was it not that long ago that IBM was producing Chip's for the Apple Platform...... say G5....let see my 9600 has a PPC 604e manufactured by IBM and now they decide to switch???
- geogeer, on 04/16/2008, -0/+0Enemies becoming friends, becoming allies... *sigh* what is the world coming to?
- njickfields, on 04/17/2008, -1/+1gee! .. i recently moved from a small web consulting firm to a big studio ... and from friggin' PC to Mac - with slight fear though. thanks IBM no longer afterthought ! long life to corporate Mac life ! yeeehaaaa !
- rmxz, on 04/18/2008, -1/+1It'd be nice if other companies would do this too - especially other computer companies so perhaps they'd wake up to better platforms than Windows. I added an idea suggesting that Dell try this too on their IdeaStorm site:
