It would be a real shame for three users to miss out. 3 has been a great carrier for Australians, I just hope 3 gets it before Telstra (Telstra is evil!!)

I've been googling & checking iphone update websites daily i just can't help myself, but honestly i hate vodaphone & i have a feeling optus isn't going to give me very good rates for overseas calls. I want an option like 3's 100$ unlimited calls plan. But in all honesty if 3 brought out a plan for the iphone i would sign up on the release date.

3 is the only provider in Australia that gives such good data plans! - genmaxx, on 07/06/2008, -0/+0i am a mac convert - from pc. the technology just works. i think that iphone for the 3 network is definitely gonna be sooo good - value-wise and technology-wise. i have been a 3 subscriber and i've been waiting for the 3g version of the iphone. i have 4 other friends who've been saying they're interested to get the iphone and are also 3 customers. i really hope 3 gets the iphone 3g.

- husky69, on 07/10/2008, -0/+0I can not understand Apple not supplying 3 with the iphone handset. I consider this a Breach of Trade Practices Act, because 3 customers do not have access to the iphone, and all the other main mobile providers do (Optus, Telstra, Vodafone).
It amounts to discriminating one group of Australian against another just because of their choice of provider.
It may well be in America that sweet deals are done with single providers, but in Australia we call that a cartel!
Get with it Apple!
Perhaps all people on here not happy about Apples decision to date should contact Consumer affairs on the basis of being discriminated against due to choice of provider. 3 has clearly indicated they want it, and Apple should provide a commercial agreement on like and similar terms for them to range the iphone. Business Affairs and Consumer Affairs host web sites, I suggest all of us not happy start cranking out the formal complaints to show them our displeasure! - acmilantim, on 07/08/2008, -0/+0Three, you offer the best service in Australia and i am very disappointed that you haven't been able to secure the iPhone when it launches in Australia. I'm one of those impatient people and am changing to another carrier, but i would like to offer my sincere thanks for the past three years for the great service you have offered. However what they're doing to Three is completely ridiculous. Three has great cap plans and I have decided to be a loyal customer to Three. I will not get an iphone if they dont give it to Three..... and anyhow, looks like half the australians will be carrying an iphone from next week....

- MrBuzzy, on 07/10/2008, -0/+0I have been with Three since they originally launched as Orange. Yet, I'm pretty miffed about this whole thing. As a customer, I was told nothing about the iPhone and nothing about the Three campaign. I had to hear about it from news.com.au, eventually.
I don't think Three provide particularly good service and they definitely don't give a crap about their customers. Take a look at their 'loyalty' offerings which I get in the mail each month - these offers are identical to any that you can find in a Three store, what a croc. Still I continue to use Three (yes I'm still waiting) in the hope that they will offer me a good plan as a long term customer and iPhone enthusiast. My bet is I won't hear a thing from them and I'll move to Optus soon. -
