- heyimfromreddit, on 06/16/2009, -25/+225This is pretty much how Apple counts features:
1. Cut
2. Copy
3. Paste
4. Landscape keyboard in Mail
5. Landscape keyboard in Messages
...
etc. - krisrm, on 06/16/2009, -5/+119I was going to bury you for the hyperbole, but then I found:
13. Spotlight Search
23. Mail Search
24. Notes Search
25. iPod Search
... and "12. Type new message while previous is still sending "
So, you get your digg back. - kuz2r, on 06/16/2009, -10/+9840. Jailbreak and Unlock iPhone 3.0.....That was quick.
- wonnk13, on 06/16/2009, -2/+45dugg for a single page list
- Raptor007, on 06/16/2009, -3/+44Shake to Shuffle in the gym? Won't it just keep swapping songs repeatedly?
- CanadaMan87, on 06/17/2009, -0/+33Absolutely. For example:
"iPhone my mother every week." - burdt, on 06/16/2009, -4/+32he must like the shuffle capability a lot cause its on there twice. this is more like the best 39 features. #4 and #31
- inigomntoya, on 06/16/2009, -28/+53http://www.everytimeyouuseaniphoneapuppydies.com/
I really wish it didn't point to a MS page, but its still a funny url... - FreddieD, on 06/17/2009, -0/+23I can only assume it's because you just posted a twitter account without saying that this was from the iphone dev team.
- shrapnel09, on 06/16/2009, -2/+22That page makes my mouse freeze. Stupid Silverlight.
- dagamer34, on 06/16/2009, -1/+19There's a pretty high threshold in order to activate shake to shuffle. It requires a rapid change in acceleration in a small period of time. Unless you're gym workouts mimic that (and your hands are flying everywhere), shake to shuffle works pretty well.
I'm a developer by the way and have been using 3.0 since March. Never had a problem with it randomly activating. - Braik, on 06/16/2009, -5/+23I came here to point out that Shake to Shuffle was on there twice, did anyone mention that yet?
- RobotBuddha, on 06/16/2009, -1/+18You're kind of screwed either way. If you don't include that, people often wonder why emails are so terse. If you do, then you come off as a bit of a braggart.
- jpop, on 06/16/2009, -0/+15Or jogging. But presumably it only does it in certain situations (like it won't do it if you lock the phone).
- brimister, on 06/17/2009, -4/+19@rnawky
Yet somehow, almost everyone agrees, the iPhone OS is way better than the Blackberry OS. - Frost9999, on 06/17/2009, -1/+16New iphone, now with paste. Just paste.
- geekworking, on 06/16/2009, -1/+14You can turn it off in the existing 2.0 version (settings->mail->signature)
- inactive, on 06/17/2009, -3/+16cut copy and paste are the same damn feature
- MacParrot, on 06/17/2009, -1/+13Well 3 + 1 = 4
- luke255, on 06/16/2009, -6/+17http://twitter.com/MuscleNerd
- jonahan52, on 06/17/2009, -1/+12How many apps can you download on the Pre? 12?
- kashk5, on 06/17/2009, -1/+12It's iPhone week, with 3.0 and the 3GS out by week's end. What else would you expect?
- MyNameIsJoe, on 06/17/2009, -0/+11I came here to point out that Shake to Shuffle was on there twice, did anyone mention that yet?
- gimmeslack12, on 06/16/2009, -1/+11You want to work during Happy Hour?
- huff51, on 06/17/2009, -0/+10"sorry typing on this god damned iphone sucks"
signature problem solved - kashk5, on 06/17/2009, -0/+10It's telling parents to restrict kids from downloading movies and TV shows if the kid's iPhone or touch is hooked up to the parents' credit card. Seems fairly logical, what's your issue?
- bluefuel318, on 06/17/2009, -2/+11I didn't realize "iPhone" was a verb.
- kinseyincanada, on 06/17/2009, -1/+10other than themes, what are the reasons to jailbreak? i used to have it for MMS, and tethering, but it really slowed down the phone so i just got rid of it. OS there any worthwhile apps out there?
- jdh20201, on 06/16/2009, -2/+10mmmm....homebrew.....
- Timpin1, on 06/17/2009, -0/+8uuum its 1:27 am and i still dont have the 3.0 update..FML
- superkendall, on 06/16/2009, -0/+8But at least we can unlock the older phone and get a cheaper plan for it for a family member. Very handy.
- superkendall, on 06/17/2009, -0/+8If you're looking for something with a keyboard, get a Pre - much nicer.
If you want something without a keyboard, stay way the heck away from the Storm. I had a chance to use one for some brief browsing and the thing is a nightmare. Moving/clickable screen turns out to be a terrible idea, they should have mocked that up and tried to spend time typing on it. - Raptor007, on 06/16/2009, -0/+8No, I think he's getting dugg down by people who noticed that burdt already posted that...
- superkendall, on 06/17/2009, -0/+72G is excluded, the bluetooth chip it has cannot handle it (along with some other bluetooth aspects of 3.0).
Definitely time to upgrade, and none of us 2G owners should have to pay extra at this point. - vashmyvindows, on 06/17/2009, -0/+7If the mention of "iPhone" sounds like bragging to you, change it to "sent from my mobile"
- kashk5, on 06/17/2009, -0/+6I'm guessing it's only removed when you're playing music. If you're just charging it, then you'll still get the green battery
- migitalwarfare, on 06/17/2009, -2/+8Have you looked at the graphic layout for any MS product? They list tons of ***** that could be condensed into a few terms. MS's approach to marketing is exactly "the most bullet-points, the better this stuff looks"
- RobotBuddha, on 06/16/2009, -1/+7There's something a little sad in that after all this time I still won't upgrade the OS unless it's been jailbroken. Probably a good 1/3 of the things I do with it are only possible because of that. it was 2/3 back in the day, so there's been a good amount of improvement. Still, the platform could be so much more.
- mhodgskiss, on 06/16/2009, -2/+8you could already force quit applications by holding the home button.
- Wongster41, on 06/17/2009, -0/+5"Tethering Activation 'Hack' Found Once Again For iPhone 3.0 [Updated]"
it works... tested out tonight on my windows 7 machine. So you can use it now even though this feature is not going to be release till late summer.

Because making an interface simpler makes the phone less sophisticated? Most people would argue the opposite. And considering most Blackberry owners wish they had gotten an iPhone after 6 months of ownership... sounds like you're losing this argument. - CanadaMan87, on 06/17/2009, -0/+5It's a trademarked name just like Coke, Nike, or Band-Aid. They count as proper nouns because they're names for specific products or brands, not just a general term.
- mrBitch, on 06/17/2009, -3/+8@ hmunkey, RE: " .. MS wouldn't do that.
Does that hurt fanboys?"
You just called yourself out as an MS fanboy. I didn't know MS had any fanboys... - miquonranger031, on 06/17/2009, -0/+5It can't.
- caniblaze, on 06/17/2009, -0/+5I hope TomTom via the iPhone OS can finally make a friendly and feature packed GPS at the same time!
- inactive, on 06/17/2009, -0/+4"Sent from my iPhone, while driving my BMW"
- sherm420, on 06/16/2009, -2/+6all of these features have been on my touch pro since i bought it last year except shake to shuffle. but im sure there is a hack for that.
- windigo, on 06/17/2009, -0/+4The cool thing about the app, though, is that it works in the background. You can exit to do something else while it still records.
- Tenoq, on 06/17/2009, -0/+4Look at a different country. Four carriers here (Aus) - possibly a 5th with when the new one is released.
- eatasandwich, on 06/17/2009, -0/+4I did notice that, thanks to the author noting it himself. I'm glad you're here though, because although you're not the first person to post this devastating news, I need to hear about it 7 times for the true gravity of the situation to sink in. I have notified the authorities, and have fashioned a cryo-tube out of my fridge. See you after the apocalypse folks!
