- raindogmx, on 10/12/2007, -9/+95Well fanboyism aside, that was a *great* piece of advertising. It has everything: frustration, cure-all solution, successful gentleman, sexy chick.
....It only lacks boobs and explosions to be the best ever. - mastercheif, on 10/12/2007, -16/+80Lol, funny how Apple used to advertise the image they are trying to mock now!
- crumbelievable, on 10/12/2007, -1/+58Check out that linear European Sales Growth! (You know they're talking about money because of the coins)
- conradpaul, on 10/12/2007, -5/+60i guess its kind of funny how big the laptops are, but hilarious? hmmm
- brickbat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+49How the ***** did she carry that computer to the airport or anywhere for that matter? The thing would dislocate her shoulder.

How can you speak full sentences with Kevin's dick in your mouth? - lachcorp, on 10/12/2007, -9/+44"I don't know anything about computers either" ...Macintosh.
Gold. - pixelate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+35"...and this stack of coins can represent Just Kicking It"
- pastaq, on 10/12/2007, -9/+41meh.

- otomo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+28You aren't a robosexual are you?
- warragul, on 10/12/2007, -10/+32I remember when the command-line bound DOS people would lecture us that Windows, Icons, Mice and Pointers were for WIMPs. Real men used text-based programs like Lotus123. "And anyway," they'd continue,"We'll have a GUI soon and it'll be better than yours."
Not a trace of irony. - colincornaby, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19"(POSTING FROM MY PS3)"
Well, now I see why you could only afford a PC. - tonich03, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18It's a good ad but where is the "hilariousness". - "I don't know anything about computers either" - That had me cracking up?
- Mooco, on 10/12/2007, -10/+27So, apparently... Macs are for people who don't know how to use a computer, huh?
No bashing here, but that just seems to be the message of the commercial; 'why learn how to do anything, when you can just have a machine to do it for you?' - MacSawD, on 10/12/2007, -11/+27Bahahahaha!!! That's horrible, it associates not knowing anything about computers with being a Mac user...just what PC lovers used to think :D (or still do).
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+20How is that ironic, exactly?
- inigomntoya, on 10/12/2007, -5/+20DL - FTW
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c90x5724o1U - spencewah, on 10/12/2007, -8/+22Hilarious? Maybe if you're very, very British.
- Mast3rDigg3r, on 10/12/2007, -5/+19I'd do her
- mc4_a, on 10/12/2007, -15/+29Old things are "Hilarious".
- flap, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14I think if you tried to bring that on a plane now you would be tagged a terrorist.

What color is the sky in your world? - mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15lmao, you fit the PS3 user stereotype so perfectly.
- screamokid, on 10/12/2007, -7/+19naw my laptop is still around that size, its a dell
screw that i love my ibook /hug - griz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12"Knowing" about computers would imply knowing how they work or how to fix them. It does't imply stupidity about how to use them. 90% of consumers do not want to "know" about computers, they want to use them. The common phrase I hear is "I don't care what's wrong with it, I just want it to work."
- astrosmash, on 10/12/2007, -9/+21Actually, Macs are for people who appreciate a well-designed Unix desktop. PCs are for people who need a 3-page Wizard to help them unzip a file, and need a cartoon dog and another 3-page Wizard to do a file search, and need their computer's file-system hidden from view.
- astrosmash, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12blocked for being a dork.
- TheReport, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I wouldnt say that was hilarious...it did make me smile though
- teckieee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11drag and drop was BIG back in the days.
- meatmcguffin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Considering your chief export is Friends, no-one was smart enough to understand Arrested Development and everyone can quote Monty Python, you haven't really got a leg to stand on mate.
- digggggggggg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12@raindogmx: urm, Macs have the same command line environments as Linux, as well as all *NIXes? (bash, csh, tcsh, etc.)
- cypherz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13@raindogmx
You've never used OS X have you? It ships with bash and various other shells, vi, emacs, pico etc. and most of the GNU toolchain. What's missing GNU-wise is trivial to add. The "Linux command line" as you put it, has nothing over OS X. - mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -6/+15Heh.. http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=macs_cant
"I don't know why Mac users get so defensive when you call them idiots. I mean, Apple is a company that has built its entire user base around the fact that its users can't do simple things like turn their computers on."
But I love macs anyway! - zman8479, on 10/12/2007, -13/+22"So, apparently... Macs are for people who don't know how to use a computer, huh?"
This is about usability you dope. The easier it is to use something, the more work you can do (and more money a business can make). - keyboardduder, on 10/12/2007, -15/+24back in the day when they were cool.
- boxlight, on 10/12/2007, -7/+16> So, apparently... Macs are for people who don't know how to use a computer, huh?
> 'why learn how to do anything, when you can just have a machine to do it for you?'
I don't know anything about how cars work, but I can drive to work everyday. Why should the gentleman need to know how computers work to use one? - ers35, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12You use the word archaic, yet you say "Its Ironic"
- colincornaby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8"First of all, OSX isn't really a unix OS"
Actually it is. UNIX land and Mac land are kind of partitioned actually. Mac apps aren't UNIX apps, and UNIX apps aren't Mac apps. So on one side, you have pretty pure UNIX, and on the other, you have this weird OS 9 (Carbon) and NeXT (Cocoa) mix. So true, while the Mac side "isn't really UNIX" (Mac apps can still take advantage of UNIX stuff), the UNIX stuff on Mac OS X is still pretty pure. - astrosmash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8It's hilarious that people think this commercial is hilarious.
- screamokid, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11what do u mean he has money? he has a ps3, hes broke........ wii power!
- geuisteses, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10So, not only are you a stupid git, you're a stupid git with money since you bought a ps3.
- JaYBrooks, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9How about ASCII Porn.. http://www.asciiartfarts.com/20031117.html
- PabloIV, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6If you remember this commercial, you stopped "getting" old 10 years ago.
- crpietschmann, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Was he just hitting on her?
- JoyrexJ9, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Of course we're all better of with quality US humor such as Big Mama's house.
Not saying the ad was funny (it wasn't) but it's got nothing to do with being a brit - jackhole, on 10/12/2007, -10/+15You said it. Seems some people will not rest until every last Apple commercial is dredged up and submitted to digg.
- supermajic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5umm.. was anyone else expecting a good ad?
- schrickman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6god that chick is hot
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I was expecting to remove my spittle from my keyboard from supposed hilarity, but I end up removing my jizz from her hotness.
