- DVmaker, on 08/11/2008, -5/+52The irony is while so many people are calling these people morons, they're getting the recognition they intended. And now that apple stupidly cut it off after only 8 people bought it, it's worth more than a grand.
- Evilblobs, on 08/11/2008, -5/+51Whoever made the app is a genius.
- shutaro, on 08/12/2008, -0/+25This guy must be rich!
- AntFoolish, on 08/11/2008, -1/+22It's gonna end up as the Black Lotus of the App Store.
/magiccardreference - Checkerd, on 08/12/2008, -1/+12Can they sell it on eBay?
- Gee1004, on 08/12/2008, -0/+9They should release it again, so people can buy it
- IphtashuFitz, on 08/12/2008, -1/+10I'm preparing to release my new "I am gullible" app next week.
- JustMatt, on 08/12/2008, -1/+10That was an artistic misspelling, as described in the video. People of your economical class simply dont understand.
- treelovinhippie, on 08/12/2008, -1/+9Oh FFS Internet. Let's get over this app already. You're all giving it so much viral attention that there is bound to be more stupid iPhone apps to come.
- mattwilson, on 08/12/2008, -0/+8I think I saw a version of this app in Cydia
- WraTH017, on 08/12/2008, -0/+7He should have bought the "My Mom is Rich" app instead.
- loneBoat, on 08/12/2008, -0/+7They should rewrite the rendering engine and re-release it as "I Am Rich - Source".
- kawaiirobo, on 08/11/2008, -1/+8Good old Money the Gouging.
- thestranger, on 08/12/2008, -0/+6Whoa.....a Black Lotus reference outta no where.
Awesome - Jonesyxxiv, on 08/12/2008, -1/+6Dugg for the guy tooling on the spelling and grammar of the secret mantra.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 08/12/2008, -1/+6Someone should make one called "I am poor" that's a picture of a big cardboard box with "Home Sweet Home" written on it.
- brnews, on 08/12/2008, -0/+5I'm waiting for the next version.. I'M RICH, BITCH. It packs more bling.
- Nosferotu, on 08/12/2008, -8/+13Okay, this is like article #6 to make it to the front page of Digg about this idiot application. As a matter of fact, a direct link to the video made it to the front page yesterday, and now we have a link to an article about the video. This application MAYBE deserved ONE front page story on Digg, as some internet oddity, then should have fallen into obscurity. Instead, it gets a front page article EVERY GODDAMN DAY. LET IT DIE, OH GOD PLEASE LET IT DIE!!
- aimhelix, on 08/12/2008, -0/+5Can't afford it. I would if I could.
- skipdog172, on 08/12/2008, -2/+7u can just not click the article if you want
- BoneheadFarker, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4Make it 25 cents, and you'd probably make more then the "I Am Rich" app...
- Sunscreen, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4Who would pay a dollar for an "I Am Poor" app?
- shutaro, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4I'm preparing to release my new "I am Cake" app...
- blogosphear, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4He doesn't, he has an iPod Touch
so he really isn't that rich.. - DontGiveADamn, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4Kind of like a pet rock, it makes you feel good. Pure marketing genius.
- MrSketch, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3Damn, I should have bought it.
- PrometheusBorn, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3How is it worth more than a grand? I guess if you sell your phone, account and all, to someone else who REALLY wants that ruby app soooo bad...
- Rudegar, on 08/12/2008, -1/+4cant somebody make a free version and put it in appstore to bury these attention seekers?
- benstl, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3Awesom
- Jared80KA, on 08/12/2008, -4/+7My app will be on sale soon. It costs $1,001 and is called "I am richer"
- leamanc, on 08/12/2008, -3/+6Fail. Maximum price for an iPhone app is $999.
- Shigglyboo, on 08/11/2008, -1/+4Hell yeah, magic rules. you can get proxies on eBay for all the cards like the moxes, lotus, time walk, etc.
It's supposed to be a game, don't see how a card can be worth so much....
=p - DiggzDE, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3OMG GUYS! I DREW A RED RUBY ON A PIECE OF PAPER. I'M RICH! PAY ME 999.99 TO BUY IT.
- EelfinnTy, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3Yep it is still there.
- crazydoglady1, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3Yeah, except for the typo " If this is to (should be too) expensive for you.." I don't care if the video says it was an artistic misspelling.
Just sayin'. - macslut, on 08/12/2008, -1/+4Nice try JustMatt, but clearly you're not really rich. We don't talk like that. It was an artistic *misspelting*.
- phatboye, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3"so this concludes the comprehensive tour of the many features of the I Am Rich application".
I LOLED - ahpro, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3Question 1 - how did he afford it?
- Sunscreen, on 08/12/2008, -3/+6It's an iPod Touch, and I'm in HS and I have an iPhone.
- twizhimself, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2its not worth crap...its up for free (cracked) on installer
- KSUdesigner, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2The real question is, why does a high school student have an extra grand laying around to spend on something as worthless as this?
- morphinapg, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2Different - it's called "Am I rich?" and doesn't include the mantra
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -1/+3Total waste, teh diggers are jealous of him.
- Cowboy1015, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2Awesome tour.
- macslut, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2It's worth nothing. It's available for free via Bittorrent. Even if it wasn't, it would be extremely easy to replicate since the artwork for the app had already been posted online (and originally on the iTunes app page itself).
- RadicalEdward, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2RTFA
- arcticsoft, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2Question 2 - did you read the article?
- gagahput3ra, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2Wow, i wish i had iPhone, i can sue Apple to give me a $1000 refund with that stupid apps.
- elfprince13, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2no, you couldn't, because the app does exactly what it says on the tin.
- IphtashuFitz, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2Only if it includes the voice of Dave Chappelle doing his Rick James impersonation!
