- Alegoo92, on 10/10/2007, -3/+42I hope the original was photoshopped: the midget nano looks so ugly and unergonomic.
- AvidPreatorian, on 10/10/2007, -1/+33No one actually believed that was the new nano design.
- hambend, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14When you casually compare different models of iPod for how "revolutionary" they are, you might be a fanboy.
- Pic0, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Should I stop working on the ipod in the shape of a phallus image?
- Nerevar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8No, please continue.
- ReinMasamuri, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Wow, it's really sad when they have to make a post saying that another post was fake. Especially when they say right in that original post that it was 'shopped.
- jeffchuck, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Are there any mirrors of the "leaked" photos that the site supposedly had to pull down?
- Rizin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Remember Apple makes Fake products to throw us off track. Steve Jobs even told us himself
- bizkit00, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6you guys sure owned him when you clicked his link, saw his adsense, made him money, and then came back to digg to tell him its fake.
- waterdrop, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8I always thought the "Fat Nano" looked like a photoshop of the iPod 5th Gen and the iPod Nano mixed together with changed proportions.
- psykiv, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6For ***** sake, it wasn't photoshopped!!!
That image of the Apple® iPod® Nano® was digitally enhanced and manipulated using Adobe® Photoshop® CS3® Extended® , a component of the Adobe® Creative Suite® CS3® Master Collection®. - ttfadia, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4If it's going to be that size, my guess is that Apple will make the whole front a screen and apply the iPod portion of the iPhone UI. The supposedly leaked shot looks like *****...
- lgc90, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5No, I did too, but only barely. Plus the 2nd Gen Nano reminds me of the Mini, which was, IMHO, the most revolutionary iPod.
- kelly, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5What benefit is there for Apple to make this?
I understand why you want it, but Apple is in the business of offering greater incentive for you to spend *more* money for the more feature rich product... not less.
Sometimes the logic from people on the internet blow my mind away. - s1mph0ny, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Yeah, the zen players are cooler than ipods. The windows software sucks balls, but mine (zen sleek photo 20gb) works great with amarok and the libmtp driver.
- grumpyrain, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3> The less isometric your viewing angle is, the easier it’ll be to Photoshop.
They are clearly less scared of the Adobe lawyers than the Apple lawyers. - zweben, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3There's always a few people that will believe every Apple fake.
That's why people still make them. Well, that and the publicity. - toetagger, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I mean, really- who gives a *****.
- tnoy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I thought the same thing about the shots of the new Apple keyboard before it was official. Its anyone's guess at this point.
- Adam420, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Thats not even the right one that was supposed to be real. and i hope thats what it does look like, i just hope its real small if its a square its not bad as long as its small
- idntunknwn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Except that this fake is meant to be a direct copy from a leaked photo.
You're supposed to know that it's fake, but that the real product will have similar dimensions - rossnyc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The amount of keyword stuffing on that page is ridic...going to be funny if google takes notice.
- apotropaic, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3You don't get it do you? He made his fake look like what apples lawyers made him pull from his website.
- GREEDOnvrFIRED, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Actually It seems to me that Apple products (existing products that is) seem to do more and more while they cost less and less. Of course you pay more for more memory. That seems to be an Apple standard. And you pay through the nose for a launch (ie iPhone.) But every thing I have read and noticed first hand shows Apple product prices becoming more and more competitive while functionality and design improves or at very least remains the same.
- DaffyDuck, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4Wasn't this understood by everyone to be a fake?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4yeah its fake forsure
- seeinpixels, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"Fake Photoshop" sounds a little redundant to me.
- Boondoggle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Because Apple Legal apparently didn't get the memo that the first LEAKED PHOTO was a fake?
You mother must be so proud. - motheroats, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2fugly!
- HonoredMule, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1If that weren't be true, they'd be just another fad company with highly erratic market presence. I'm no Apple fan, but the thing that puts them above other 'elitist' suppliers is that they follow through to mainstream, while retaining the product that was worth consumer attention in the first place.
Do you think Macs would still be around if they were as expensive (compared to similar spec PCs) today as 10 years ago? I doubt the company itself would even be still here. High margin markets saturate quickly, and most people wait for reasonable prices, no matter how good or trendy the product.
BTW, I'm a PC user...and will never buy a Mac. - Niz1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1well it does say "and watch the AdSense money roll in" so it must be working
- Boondoggle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1That is also a way to track down leaks
- davidrools, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Apple products always cost more and do less than the competition. But they tend to look better doing so.
- lcarsdeveloper, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Actually clicking his link just wastes his bandwidth, viewing his adsense increases his impressions but lowers his click through % rate, he makes no money unless you click on the ads. And this is Digg, most people seem to use Adblock anyway. He's achieved nothing.
- davidrools, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Some also would argue more difficult to use (one button mice, sticky white keyboards, limited functionality/fewer buttons on ipods...and I have the hardest time turning my nano off)
- Boondoggle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Some would argue that they are also easier to use, which is another way of adding value without adding "features".
- sp1nm0nkey, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Is everyone stupid or something? Why would apple ONLY ask for photographs that are real to be pulled? They're gonna have everything they possibly can pulled because the ONLY people that know what's real and what's not is apple, and they're not gonna risk leaks! Worst possible thing that can happen is it'll be proven that it wasn't a leak and apple will go oops our bad, but whose really gonna go against the big A.
- vortex22222, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I honestly can't see something even closely resembling that getting this far in the development cycle.
We all know that form is just as, if not more so, important than function to Apple. - Slarioux, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Since Apple is quite smart, I expect them to pull both the real leaks from the web, and some random fakes to keep people guessing. That's what I'd do.
- iChainsaw, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0who the hell couldn't read "lawyers told us to take the original image down, so we photoshopped this one"???
- dudup, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Count me in, too.
- crazybrit, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1And you know that from seeing a small, blurry photo of it. Right.
- Dylson, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Not *Might*, rather *Are*
- Midnitte, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0image sucks tbh, if you look to the right in the middle you can tell its been editted
- HolyHesus, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0you can see the paint brush marks if you brighten the image. that was a ***** photoshop
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Maybe the fat nano is a ploy to lower expectations so no matter what apple comes out with it will seem great. I checked out the creative zen series of music players recently and was really impressed by their quality and prices. go check them out.
- Dralite, on 10/10/2007, -5/+2All Hail Fat NANO!
- tehpyro, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1Fat Nano? Hey dumbasses wouldn't that just be the ipod mini with a colour screen and a higher capacity?
- desmondregan, on 10/10/2007, -9/+1yeah i said it was fake
