- attila, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1When I "upgraded" to iTunes 7.0 I wasn't able to copy/move the vast collection of MP3's I have on my HDD to my iPod Nano running the latest 1.2 firmware. After talking with Apple Product Care, I was asked "why would you want to do that?" "why don't you just put everything in itunes" "oh, i guess that wouldn't make sense to have your music in two locations, eh?" and "well, i don't know what to tell you, sorry."
I hung up with her and after sleeping on it I downgraded to 6.0.3 (the last great version) but before I could get it to work I had to rename (*.bak) a file called "itunes library.itl" otherwise iTunes would bring up an error saying "newer file exists" and just dump me out of itunes.
All in all, after the downgrade, I am able to once again, copy my mp3's to my iPod and interact with it the way I could before iTunes 7 wrecked everything. I also downgraded my iPod to 1.1 for good measure. You can find out how to do that by searching Digg or Google. - Nobuddy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am having multiple issues with 7.0. one that is a major pain is that i can no longer burn Cd's, keep getting the 4000 error. I am running on a newer Toshiba Laptop. I also un-installed 7.0 and reinstalled with the renaming of the "itunes library.itl" to the last good version of "Itunes". However i still cannot burn a CD. I emailed Apple but have yet to hear back from them --- anyone else having this issue
- ryan0404, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have the same problem attilia. I've just downgraded, but can't seem to find the file "itunes library.itl"? Sooooo at the moment I'm getting that error, and it's really annoying!! :(
Would appreciate a little help, thanks!! ;)
Ohhh and I don't have a crappy computer, it has nothing to do with that!! It's a 3.4ghz, 400GB, 1024MB... - Derricks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah there's a good reason. You're a genius! Any other brilliant ideas?
- BillDoE, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Or, do like me and don't bother getting it until the other guinea pigs get done being free beta testers.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1No problems with iTunes 7. I think this can be boiled down to PC users with crappy Windows machines.

What is Digg?
