- AbyssNOLF, on 06/25/2009, -2/+37TI. What happened to you? You were the epic bulky calculator, the definition of nerd-tetris-on-calculator love. Why didn't you do this first!?!
I trusted you!?!?!?! - inactive, on 06/26/2009, -1/+28Your TI-89 was barely out of diapers when the HP48 was the champion of the scientific and engineering world.
- aforsberg, on 06/26/2009, -0/+20RPN for the win.
- johnwiz, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1455378008
- badqat, on 06/25/2009, -2/+15This is frickin' awesome. An app worth buying.
- s0m31john, on 06/26/2009, -6/+18My TI-89 Titanium could take any HP calculator in a fight.
- inactive, on 06/26/2009, -0/+9pure rpn?
- aforsberg, on 06/26/2009, -0/+8don't you mean 5318008?
- Rudegar, on 06/26/2009, -0/+6give me a hp48 emulator and you got my money :)
- SurlyDuff, on 06/26/2009, -0/+6TI: No I didn't!
- lazn, on 06/26/2009, -0/+5HP48GX is forever the king of calculators
- lilrabbit129, on 06/26/2009, -2/+7TI-89 ftw.
- Skitzo444, on 06/26/2009, -2/+7These apps are ridiculously over priced!!
$14.99 for the HP 12C and $29.99 for the HP 15C!! - LokiStix, on 06/25/2009, -0/+4Oh, the memories.
- inactive, on 06/26/2009, -1/+5If you don't wander through the menus and use enough parentheses maybe.
- SurlyDuff, on 06/26/2009, -2/+6Nerds have tons of toys:-\ Mostly of the action figure variety.
- inactive, on 06/26/2009, -1/+4I have a 12C and an HP48GX here. I could probably get a couple hundred bucks for the GX, but I'd never sell it, it's a great calculator. The new ones may be able to do a lot more stuff, but the 48GX is just awesome.
- KaivenTor, on 06/26/2009, -0/+3TI is too busy turning their calculators into super-computers to be bothered by HP's iPhone apps.
I would however love to see some sort of ASM or TI-Basic emulation app for the iPhone that can run the TI Apps like Puzzle Pack or Phoenix or (Insert favorite app here____). - pak314, on 06/26/2009, -2/+5TI what happend to you? you used to be cool!
- inactive, on 06/26/2009, -0/+3lame
- legrue, on 06/26/2009, -0/+3What the heck are they talking about???
I still use my 15c!!! - SquareWheel, on 06/26/2009, -0/+3Actually, "heyimfromreddit" would be a troll, wouldn't he?
Crap. - inactive, on 06/26/2009, -0/+3You clearly don't buy Apple products...
- AxeSwinger, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2rpn for life!
- sbluetruck, on 06/26/2009, -0/+271077345
- inactive, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2Is your calculator going to make the Dean's List next semester?
- JokersWild, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2Definitely. HP48. I sold my 48SX (I'm an old fart - the 48GX wasn't out yet when I was in school) to my brother after school. I totally miss that calculator -- if they had an HP48GX emulator for the iPhone, I'd get it in a heartbeat.
- Taiyoryu, on 06/26/2009, -1/+3Yes, I want to see a TI-85 app :-D
- ultrafez, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2Apple wouldn't allow that, as it executes external code. Unless of course, you jailbreak :)
- inigomntoya, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2The it never took on my HP 49G.
That puppy could do a triple integral faster than you could piss your pants!
And they were doing it 3 years before yours was even conceived! - ColorCountries, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2No no no no no! My HP12C remains on my desk. No way to replace the fantastic touch and feel of the keyboard.
- jester55, on 06/26/2009, -1/+3well real ones are more than double those prices so that's a bargain.
- inigomntoya, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2make that a 49G and you've got yourself a deal!
- migitalwarfare, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2I want a TI-85 emulator so we can finally get Drug Wars back on the iphone
- uptwolait, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2For us Blackberry users, there is:
http://www.lygea.com/ - DulcetTone, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2I have an 11c. Odd thing is after I bought a "modern" HP calculator which broke after a few short months, I fished out my old 11c (22 *YEARS* since last use), and it powered up and worked without even a battery change. That's economical circuit design.
- DulcetTone, on 06/26/2009, -0/+2RPN is full of win
- inactive, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1But can it run Crysis?
- ShArKSe7eN, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1I'll keep my HP 48GX... for now...
- rhodydog, on 06/27/2009, -0/+1There already is a clone of the HP 15C for the iphone and its cheaper at $10. apparently uses original code too.
- rhodydog, on 06/27/2009, -0/+1There is a second clone of the HP 15C on itunes as well (from a thirdy-party) and I think it's only $10
- Adamlite, on 06/26/2009, -0/+16922251*8 = 55378008
It's a fun elementary school joke - danielwsmithee, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1I still use and love my TI-85
- 4evar, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1Having owned both the TI-89 and HP50G and being a lazy engineering student, solving θ-β-M equation http://upload.wikimedia.org/math/2/7/b/27b8202d604 ... much much faster on the 50g couple of seconds vs a minute or more on the TI-89. oh and unit conversion on the 50g SOOOO much easier to use.
- Nereus90, on 06/27/2009, -0/+1It broke after a few short months but only one long month.
- RichMig, on 06/27/2009, -0/+1I purchased the HP41CX app for the iPhone. The HP41CX puts the 15C and 12C to shame. There are two versions of the app. The premium version HP41CX+ has print capability and included emulations of every single (I'm pretty sure) expansion pack ever developed including the famous PPC rom.
It is my favorite app. I've been using the HP41C series since 1984. I'd better stop now or else you may think I'm a geek.
http://alsoftiphone.com/ - inactive, on 06/26/2009, -1/+2Oh the irony. HP skipped on Apple when they had their chance, and now they're begging for scraps on Apple's own marketplace.
- MikeGalos, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1Interesting that they skipped the HP 16C Programmer's calculator for the iPhone market and went for the financial market model instead.
- fifaigor, on 06/26/2009, -0/+1Threads like this is why i love digg.
- frink, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1I still use my HP15C every day
