- diggonit, on 10/02/2008, -2/+22I guess mentioning the URL would just be stupid.
- zanarkan, on 10/02/2008, -1/+17m.flickr.com
- menwuur, on 10/02/2008, -4/+13Looks great but there's no upload. Makes this kind of pointless, when are they gonna make an app?
- parasight, on 10/02/2008, -0/+9There is nothing iPhone-"only" about this site. It's been optimized to be comfortably usable on a mobile device. If your device has a decent browser, it should work perfectly. I don't see the issue here. Care to elaborate?
- thecheat1, on 10/02/2008, -5/+13Yay!
- SurrealDream, on 10/02/2008, -0/+6Meow?
- fatlip, on 10/02/2008, -1/+6if you log in there's an upload option
- WilliamTM, on 10/02/2008, -3/+8About time, too. Hurrah!
- TimmyGUNZ, on 10/02/2008, -1/+5You can email a photo to a private Flickr URL to upload. It's been that way for years.
- Brotodeau, on 10/02/2008, -1/+4Hiss!
- lordtyros, on 10/02/2008, -1/+4Protip: More people surf the web via iPhone than all other mobile browsers combined.
- ToastPop, on 04/17/2009, -2/+5FINALLY! I'm sick of using Exposure to browse my Flickr photos.

- metaphysical, on 10/03/2008, -0/+2You have to be using an iPhone/iTouch or have your user-agent set to either to get it to load. Otherwise you'll see their WAP version instead.
- uncleosbert, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1that is a tiny share of the whole and it appears to have nothing to do with the iphone itself. it is not competitive internationally.
In the August survey issued Monday, the iPhone OS, with a 0.30% share, was the fourth-most popular operating system on the Web after Windows (90.69%), Mac OS (7.84%) and Linux (0.92%).

techlords are actually a pretty small percentage of the market. launching an iphone optimized site is like launching a delivery service specializing in only kimchee.
http://arstechnica.com/journals/apple.ars/2008/09/ ... - uncleosbert, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1first, you're right. this is a poorly titled article. i think there is an issue though:
"Fans of slideshows will be disappointed, though. There aren't any. For that you'll need a standalone iPhone application Like Fraser Speirs' Exposure. Sadly, Yahoo's experimental AJAX-based Flickr site for the iPhone, which offered slideshows, seems to have been taken down."
this is not just about products anymore, it's about the way they alter the ecology of the market.

- jurvusbob, on 10/02/2008, -1/+2m.flickr.com
- ToastPop, on 04/17/2009, -1/+2If you are willing to jailbreak Flickrup is great as it doesn't resize your photos or strip the GPS data like many of the app store programs do (Apple won't allow the raw photo to upload or something). And it will do it all in a batch for you :)
- GraemeNorway, on 10/03/2008, -0/+1Yeah, it sure took them a while... At least it's finally available! :-)
- MMaster23, on 10/03/2008, -0/+1I'm using an official Dutch T-Mobile iPhone on T-Mobile NL's HSDPA network
- afidler, on 10/02/2008, -2/+399% of mobile pages are m.insertdomainhere.com/net/etc....
- m3mn0n, on 10/03/2008, -0/+1Get "Klick" ...it's great.
It's what Yahoo! (with all it's billions in cash + hundreds of developers) should have released themselves. - rivalius13, on 10/02/2008, -1/+1Bring iFlickr to the iPhone dammit!
- sinnet, on 10/02/2008, -1/+1Were you saying boo or boo-erns?
- csimpkins, on 10/02/2008, -2/+2huh... just yesterday I was wishing they had an iPhone version of the site.
GET OUT OF MY HEAD - lovemorgul, on 10/03/2008, -1/+1now to take service of a network become easy.
- meamog, on 10/02/2008, -1/+1I actually really, really like Mobile Fotos, which will let you upload photos from your albums. It will not, however, let you take a pic and upload it from within the app.
It's a paid app, but in my experience, it's worth it. - thelonious, on 10/02/2008, -1/+1I can't even look at a picture without having to sign in to Yahoo?!? Really?
- ttamshadbolt, on 10/03/2008, -1/+1no they're not
- WilliamTM, on 10/02/2008, -2/+2You could always use ShoZu. I find it does a pretty good job at uploads.
- decker12, on 10/02/2008, -1/+1Very cool.. however I can't seem to actually expand a photo when I click on it's thumbnail. The actual browsing / thumbnail process is very fast.. but when I try to view the photo, it just hangs with the little Flickr logo. Strange, maybe their site is being hammered?
- claynferno, on 10/03/2008, -0/+0cool I didn't know that (stupid)
- MoralThreat, on 10/02/2008, -2/+1So the rest of us who aren't trendy (i.e. don't have an iPhone) are ***** out of luck? Nice.
- cyberwiz01, on 10/02/2008, -2/+1No group browsing apparently.
- parasight, on 10/02/2008, -2/+1What I find interesting is that this site is faster than the popular native iPhone Flickr apps (at least for me).
It's not inherent to the iPhone, though. I've noticed this with other applications using the Flickr API, such as (the otherwise excellent) "Flickr Photo Album" for WordPress. It loads thumbnails right off Flickr and they take AGES to load. Just an observation, some faster loading would be nice. - TimmyGUNZ, on 10/02/2008, -2/+1Unless I'm missing something, I don't see any way to add tags to your photos from this.
- Oubipaws, on 10/02/2008, -2/+1About damn time! I've been wanting this for quite a while! Now if only they could help improve the speed of Flickr.
- MMaster23, on 10/02/2008, -2/+1Hmm m.flickr.com gives me nothing like the site on the screenshots?
US-only? - zzz@tkz, on 10/02/2008, -7/+6Meh!
- WYendrys, on 10/02/2008, -3/+2finally! I've been waiting for this to come out.
Now if they came out with Adium for the iPhone, i'd be set. - TimmyGUNZ, on 10/02/2008, -3/+2Now if only we can get a native, official Flickr app.
- Stemnin, on 10/02/2008, -5/+3A little less yippee! and a little more bowing to your god, his name is Steve.
- derble, on 10/02/2008, -6/+2Reasonably decent!
- Rekzai, on 10/02/2008, -7/+1I'd rather use the actual site
- dicer999, on 10/02/2008, -11/+5Yipee!
Am I fitting in with you guys? - expat76, on 10/02/2008, -6/+0Huzzah!!!
- EvilKaz, on 10/02/2008, -8/+2Configured to optimise blurry, lightless 2MP camera pics that your grans phone from 5 years ago would be shamed off.
- AsceticMonk, on 10/02/2008, -7/+0Finally! I like viewing good photos on my iPod touch.
- jcaino, on 10/02/2008, -8/+1Wait - you mean there's something available for my CrackBerry that you guys don't have on your iPhones? For shame!
