  • flickerbrain, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Personally, I would not be surprised if we see NBC Universal release more promotional video content, like the the one mentioned, as a way to create buzz for various shows. It makes for a great way to let people watch special, behind the scenes like content such as SciFi Inside, even if they miss it, without it being of much cost to the channel (rerunning a half hour special instead of something with potentially better ratings). Of course, this will probably be done mostly with cheaply producible shows, like SciFi Inside and such.

  • Snyder, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hmmm, never noticed until now (since it's taking much longer than music to download) that iTunes puts the music in a separate temp folder while it's downloading. For me this folder is within my chosen iTunes music folder "C:MediaMusic" in a sub directory "DownloadsSci Fi Inside - Battlestar Galac.m4v.tmp". And the video file is labeled as a generic "download.m4v" and comes along with an extra temp file named "Info.plist".

    Sorry, just thinking out loud.

  • DPowers08, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is a benefit of using iTunes. Most people wouldn't find it without using the software, and it isn't directed toward those users. If you are complaining that you need iTunes, that is what Apple wants. This is a way to get people to possibly join.

    I hate how iTunes makes you sign up with a credit card. They should make it to were if you are going to buy something you can login and then input that information otherwise you can always download the freebie stuff and sample video clips and songs.
