- brainnovate, on 09/05/2008, -1/+36SimCity FTW
- Gaffigan, on 09/05/2008, -1/+32Sweet, finally something that will be worth more than $0.99.
You know a game sucks when you pay $9.99 for it and after playing it twice, delete it off your phone.
(I'm looking at you, Cro-Mag Rally!) - ElCapitan4080, on 09/05/2008, -6/+28Time to go buy an iphone
- Korb91, on 09/05/2008, -1/+15I’m really not excited about those EA games. These iPhone games are developed by the cell phone department of Electronic Arts. EA mobile isn’t the department that produces PSP games, though. I DONT WANT CELL PHONE GAME PORTS!
If you port, please port from the Playstation Portable, the iPhone is definitely capable of that kind of games since it’s even more powerful than the PSP. - StevenBullen, on 09/05/2008, -2/+16So this means... Games with no support after its released for a week and a ***** customer serivce.
- AmyVernon, on 09/05/2008, -1/+13Now I need an iPhone. Yahtzee on my phone?
- Krissam, on 09/05/2008, -1/+12yes, but that's 1 additional gadget in your pocket. you need a phone, you dont need an mp3 player
- daridave, on 09/05/2008, -0/+10IMHO, you have no idea how valuable it is to hear your phone ring in your headphones while you're listening to your mp3s. No more missed [important] calls... I personally would recommend the iphone over the ipod touch JUST for that, and then some.
- TheGreatBelow, on 09/05/2008, -1/+11SimCity > *, ***** any other sims.
- tomazws, on 09/05/2008, -1/+10More games for iphone woot!
- MaxMWood, on 09/05/2008, -1/+7Im assuming this means for the iPod touch aswell.
- monkeyrun, on 09/05/2008, -3/+9wow ... PSP really need to watch out.
- FredFredrickson, on 09/05/2008, -0/+6Because the iPhone needs some more seriously gimped versions of popular games.
- oldhick, on 09/05/2008, -1/+6@Dylson, it won't kill you. Its just stupid to carry more than you need.
@djphatijive, the Touch cost almost the same as the phone... You have no mic and no speaker which means you can't really use a bunch of the apps such as the guitar tuner, voice recorders, can't hear the cowbell without headphones!!! all critical :P - DCstewieG, on 09/05/2008, -1/+6Should work fine besides requiring headphones for sound.
- Webnower, on 09/05/2008, -0/+5Now we just need Dino Park Tycoon.
- santaliqueur, on 09/05/2008, -1/+5Nobody cares about your retarded comparisons. Go get a job at cracked.com.
- thcobbs, on 09/05/2008, -0/+4lol.... I can see it now... Dozens of bored airline passengers shaking their phone and rolling like its Caesar's Palace.
- daridave, on 09/05/2008, -0/+4PLEASE don't mess this one up. Simcity on the go (well done) is a dream come true! I just hope it's better than the DS version.
- djphatjive, on 09/05/2008, -2/+6why, just get an ipod touch. same thing without phone and gps
- elpohl, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3Total ignorant here. Will Spore, SimCity, and other games work in iPod Touch? I mean, is it locked or something?
- gskill, on 09/05/2008, -1/+4I think the Sims 3 on the iPhone would be fun.
- Echomote, on 09/05/2008, -1/+4First openTTD, and now Sim City! We're being spoilt!
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -2/+5@ Everyone who favoured the iphone above me,
Most people already have a cell phone and the ipod touch is cheaper as you dont need a service contract to use it :)
and you have more than one pocket - DiggCheeseFries, on 09/05/2008, -1/+4Or an ipod touch :-)
- dullnation, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3Its the hassle.
- Diggnabbit, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3good lord, yes. They're intercompatible.
- stalky14, on 09/05/2008, -3/+5Word. Did they ever make an Intel-native version of SimCity4 for Mac?
- Hulacat, on 09/05/2008, -1/+3There's actually a Yahtzee-like game already available on the App Store called Five Dice. It's fairly basic, but it definitely works for being able to play Yahtzee wherever you want.
- jamesrdorn, on 09/05/2008, -2/+4Sim-Tower FTW!
- dpollitt, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2Lemonade Tycoon holy crap my lifes productivity just went down the drain
- championchap, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2The only one i keep coming back to is Tris. (iPhone Tetris)
..and that was free.
After reading the reviews i was REALLY dissapointed with Trism. (triangle slidey game of match 3 or more with accelerometers controling the direction things slide when triangles get removed.) - dudefaceguyman, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2Hey Cro-Mag owned FACE back when I was a kid.
It..Just hasn't aged well. - tumbl3w33d, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2cro-mag sucked!!
- then00b, on 09/05/2008, -1/+3This is pretty huge news for the iPhone/touch as a game platform. I mean I don't like The Sims but boy there are a lot of people who do.
- Angostura, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2Absolutely.
- seraph582, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2who doesn't already have iPod cables in those locations??? And yes, they do charge the iPhone.
- DiggCheeseFries, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2HELL YES!!! The headline was a bit misleading...
- Tanze, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2sim city on the iphone huh? this could have potential, getting the intriguiging little version for the DS showed me that this can be done.
BUT what i want to see is some old C&C games on the iphone/ touch. just imagine: red alert wherever you are!
whoa - thewade, on 09/05/2008, -1/+3Move over Tetris, hiding in the bathroom to avoid working just got a lot more intrestesting.
- Icyfenix, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2omg that WOULD be awesome on the iPhone
- markiemarke, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2if only for the cowbell
- flarn2006, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1what about the camera? not to mention the phone?
- caddyalan, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1My first Simcity experiences were on the SNES... a port which admittedly suffered from a lack of mouse compatibility. I enjoyed the game in spite of the problems with the port. That said, I'd welcome a good portable version of any Simcity. There was one on the GBA a few years ago which wasn't very playable, and one on the DS maybe two years ago which wasn't intuitive.
- rheaume, on 09/05/2008, -2/+3Make sure you get a charger for your office, you car, you house..
- gettarat, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1What Sims are about?? I didn't even see first two..
http://nextargps.org/ - CMiYC, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1While SimCity sounds exciting, I don't think the interface is going to be very fun. Without a mouse or even a stylus, it seems like creating roads and railroad tracks is going to be a bitch.
- Prathik89, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1Hopefully they can bridge them all with expansions..
- GothAlice, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1Well, except the whole microphone, external speaker, mobile data, and GPS thing.
But they sure are intercompatible. -
