- WillGabriel, on 10/22/2007, -2/+8Unfortunately, that's not how it works. When you buy an iPod, you agree to the End User License Agreement. By choosing their hardware, you are legally obligated to follow their rules about the software. If you disagree with their no-third-party-software policy, then your only (legal) option is to not buy the iPod. They only get away with these ridiculous contracts because we allow them to.
