You just assumed they'd pay you, and after seeing that they made a bunch of money doing other things and not through your project, you suddenly go back like a dirty rackateer and start demanding money when you already agreed to work for around $100 or so (this is all gleaned from what you wrote).
Plus you said you didn't even sign up for things to do, you apparently did it on a voluntary basis. That is your fault. Next time be smart and draw up the right amount before you begin work. Your time is money, even for friends.
