- PathDaemon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I bought it... a while ago. At least we can believe that our money helped it become free.
- Logan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8What! I just bought that app today! At least it's a free upgrade, heh.
- xlife, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8All fixed. :)
- DaffyDuck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I like the black but I think a slight transparency would help.
- pyro116, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Whoops... I found a bug in the installer which Dave is fixing now, so he's pulled it for now.
- shadownight, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Dave Watanabe, the developer, said in the comments in his blog that due to his busy schedule, he won't be able to make a Camino or OmniWeb version for now. He recommends using Inquisitor 2.6 for these browsers.
- shadownight, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It's a pretty nice release, but I can't use the Down arrow key to move through the results. I hope this will be fixed soon! I'd also like an option to use white instead of black, but I can live with it for now.
And to people looking for the preferences, they now have a tab in Safari's main prefs. - wordsofwisedumb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5It looked really nice before, just like spotlight. The black is horrible, it does not match the rest of the UI at all. Please bring back the old look!
- Dithre, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It is actually slightly transparent. Very hard to notice though.
- pyro116, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5The bug involved the installer. He'll be uploading a fixed version in a few hours likely.
- iching, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3After using It has seemed to have installed correctly, it says inquisitor in my search and when I start typing it throws down a small black window on certain possible searches.
Seems pretty cool.
thanks for the reply. - soapdev, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3nm i found it. It's Yahoo by default and you can change it to Google. hmm i wonder if Yahoo paid him to do this.
- AgentBuckwald, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Too bad version 2.6 doesn't support Camino after 1.0.2. This looks pretty cool, but I'm not going back to 1.0.2 or Safari just for an enhanced search feature.
- Dylan1077, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This just made my day.
- briansanderson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is a sweet app. Thanks.
- superjoppe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Im not a very big fan of Dave (he's often called the new soupnazi), but its GREAT news that this cool app is now free!
- iching, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2What was the bug? I just downloaded but haven't really tested it out.
Thanks, - wordsofwisedumb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I just bought it last month... Good thing it was cheap.
- shadownight, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I find Yahoo results really bad... I quickly changed it to Google.
- WiseWeasel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Arrow keys work fine here...
- badtz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm surprised he of all developers is offering this app for free. Maybe it's because it's not based on an app that's based on open source software....?
- DPowers08, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm pumped for the update, but then again I paid for Inquisitor not too many months ago. Its a very useful addition to Safari.
- Kypt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Really neat application, I'm going to check settings to see if I can change the "blackness" to another color. Other than that its awesome
- reichg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2apple should add this to next version of safari but make it look like spotlight quicksearch
- shadowmoses, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is an absolutely amazing app, can't believe I never found it before makes searching a doddle!!
- iching, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes, as soon as I saw the post I downloaded the v3 and then it was removed.
it seems to work ok. - kottkrig, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Any insider news on whether it will be released for Camino as well, or not?
- cheeseballoon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's too bad that he cut off Camino support. This update blew me away and almost makes me want to go back to Safari just to use it. Almost.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Can I have my €5 back?
- Goldspink, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I bought this in January and it's very convenient, both for the instant results and the customizable search engines. Plus it lets you use other international versions of Google (e.g. google.co.uk) rather that the default google.com that Safari sticks you to.
- soapdev, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1is it searching Yahoo or Google?
- dansgil, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I'm sticking with the old version. It looks al lot nicer than this one.
- shadownight, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1This links to the Inquisitor 2.6 page, which states it's a "free demo". Weird? Did you guys get a page that showed v3?
- AgentBuckwald, on 10/12/2007, -10/+2I like cake.
