- RicardoWilliams, on 07/09/2009, -2/+6im pretty sure AT&T has the most hated app
- dvsbastard, on 07/10/2009, -1/+5*Most* of these apps could easily achieve the same purpose through the use / development of a mobile web application (which many companies are already doing) - except it comes with the added advantage of working on multiple platforms...
- mibi, on 07/10/2009, -1/+4yeah, its just like brands flocking to SecondLife, only an iphone isn't retarded.
- Super6, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3That's what the map app is for
- unwiseone, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3Dugg for all items on one page.
- stubear, on 07/10/2009, -0/+2Yes, by sacrificing a richer UI. A good UI is VITAL to an app being successful or not. Sure there are exceptions to this rule (see pretty much any of the Google web apps), but when you don't have to fight the app UI and it's a pleasure to use, you're more likely to get the most out of the app itself. Web apps just aren't there yet and having to zoom in on the UI, using history states, etc. just won't cut it for a good mobile app.
- boodaa, on 07/10/2009, -0/+2Here we go with corporate America trying to inundate us with their logos. Somebody's gonna screw it up. Who will be the corporate FAIL?
- johnnye, on 07/10/2009, -1/+3Too bad there is no Costco app. They have the best price on gas and an app would make it easy to find them while traveling.
- mrOceanView, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1Don't you know?
App is the new .com
Surprise! (not) that domain is already taken - rberger909, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1How is the Chipotle app not on here under the worst apps? That app was broken from the second they released it and then they pulled it only to never re-release it. MASSIVE fail!
- migitalwarfare, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1That Quicken Mobile app is straight garbage, but it's not entirely their fault. The reason the data from your bank is old is because it's your bank that doesn't make that data available as soon as a transaction posts. My bank (Citizens) doesn't make it's data available to Quicken until 4 days after it clears. Then again, Citizens also makes it a pain to download your account data for the desktop Quicken too. At any rate, the outdated data is NOT Quicken's fault.
Quicken Mobile's problem comes with the outdated transactions, but up-to-date current balance, and no way of manually clearing transactions to keep your ledger balanced and meshing well with the current balance. Until they allow you to manually clear, and reconcile with the web data, this app is useless - JustAGuy23, on 07/09/2009, -2/+3whats with this NAMBLA app? Hmm.
- avatarpalin, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1I saw the Kodak logo and was interested to see how they screwed it up, and yet no mention of them...
I was betting something with Kodak Gallery where it was so damn hard to share your photos with anyone else you would give up. - jstnjns, on 07/10/2009, -1/+1This is just a true testament to the fact that companies (Ford) should not try to leverage things that have nothing to do (a photo editor on a phone) with their product (cars) to promote.
iPhone apps, just like social media, only work as a marketing strategy for some things.. - statik99, on 11/03/2009, -4/+4Really makes me want to break contract and get an iphone
- mesomorphicman, on 07/10/2009, -0/+0The New York Times apps is mediocre at best, it's s-l-o-o-w-w. The USA Today app is 100x better.
ESPN app seems a waste, I have ESPN bookmarked in Safari and it shows the same info w/o wasting app space.
Yahoo app STINKS - it takes you to Safari for too many stories and such, a major annoyance, deleted it. (Yahoo Messenger app works well, not perfect, but good enuf)
eBay app is good, works well and has all the basic functions. - cubicledrone, on 07/10/2009, -1/+1The reason the economy sucks is because rectangle-heads are busy selling brands instead of products.
- Jrr6415sun, on 07/10/2009, -1/+1I use it almost everyday to check my minutes/texts.. I don't see why anyone would hate it.. works fine for me.
- zp3dd4, on 07/10/2009, -3/+2man, whats that toolbar on the bottom?
- LiberalsSuckAss, on 07/10/2009, -4/+3Spoken like a true Mac Fanboy. Bitching about something that's free.
I use some of the "loser" apps (as well as some of the winners). They are what they are... Every app can have room for improvement. That doesn't make it a loser. Especially when it didn't cost you anything to begin with. - FredFredrickson, on 07/09/2009, -8/+3If you have the internet at your fingertips for $1200 a year, you're a winner and a loser too.
