I lolled. - MisterOh, on 12/31/2008, -8/+179I'm rather fond of the Simpsons' Mapple and Steve Mobs
- KirbyMeister, on 12/31/2008, -4/+119They also made fun of Linux too... and the entire Open Source movement, too. Hell they even made fun of Second Life!
- inactive, on 12/31/2008, -8/+119ifruit phone "All Ego” haha.
- danwallace, on 12/31/2008, -1/+92Not Second Life! How could anyone mock people who use Second Life?
- blackrage, on 12/31/2008, -5/+82Does anyone doubt that if apple came out with a banana shaped phone (that couldn't do anything), It would still sell like hotcakes.
mmmm...hotcakes - jessenoob, on 12/31/2008, -1/+58Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring, BANANAPHONE!
- specialK16, on 12/31/2008, -2/+57There are literally millions of different versions of Eunux called distributions, or 'distresses', such as RedTwat 328.4, Ucuntu 293.6, Slackcrack 784.9 and Knobbix 136.7. A few of them actually work but we're not going to tell you which ones - that's all part of the fun! Eunux is compatible with almost everything, apart from a sex life, and can do almost anything, except music, movies, games or fun in general. It is the best operating system in the world.
- rabidlemur, on 12/31/2008, -13/+64STFU, get over yourself, apple fanboy, go to$$ to some pictures of Steve jobs. This was funny! Cant believe I missed it on the first go around in GTA4.
- Lapper, on 12/31/2008, -1/+48Hate to rain on everyone's parade, I just thought this was particularly interesting: http://i43.tinypic.com/24eceaa.png

Gee, Mitch, you think he might be one of them "power diggers"? - inactive, on 12/31/2008, -2/+48I liked the cube that glows to confirm it's off
- homercles337, on 12/31/2008, -9/+54Buried for inaccuracy. This is not a spoof. It contains too much truth to be spoof.
- inactive, on 12/31/2008, -1/+44At Eunux.net, we drive around in wooden go-carts powered by hairdryers that we make in our backyards.
- Greensheep11, on 12/31/2008, -11/+47I think the Simpsons did a better spoof this year with 'mapple'
- JonnyCumLightly, on 12/31/2008, -7/+41Im going to throw even MORE money into the iRack. *The iRack looks like it doesnt even want those things in there!*
Thats ok folks, we need to look into the future, I present to you..........The iRan! (duuuun) - Blitzenn, on 12/31/2008, -0/+30They (rockstar) are pretty fair about bashing everyone equally. Its just some of the bashing seems to hit home a little better than others.
- scubasteve03, on 12/31/2008, -0/+28Actually, the early Xbox 360 Dev boxes were G5 Power Macs. While it is still not likely, they very well could have used some Macs for the Xbox 360 port. Not to mention their artwork department probably had a couple of Macs in the mix.
Honestly, I for one would hate to have to develop for PowerPC (Xbox 360) or Cell (PS3) architectures on a Windows machine. They probably used some form of Unix or other on IBM POWER6 based machines. - braveryonions, on 12/31/2008, -2/+29Haha! Repeating that joke again made it funnier!
- tattertech, on 12/31/2008, -1/+26And the reference to Apple's famous commercial with Comic Book Guy smashing the image of Steve Mobs.
- inactive, on 12/31/2008, -7/+32As a graphic designer I laugh at all the Apple fanboys who think using a PC to design is blasphemous yet I challenge them to find one major game company using Macs instead of PC's to develop for.
- ThatGeek, on 12/31/2008, -0/+22***** you
now im going to be singing that all day - mr0nine2five, on 12/31/2008, -1/+21you should have just linked to the skit itself
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rw2nkoGLhrE - groo68, on 12/31/2008, -3/+22I liked the part where it was a banana.
- Demos27, on 12/31/2008, -1/+19Who cares, it's all good fun! I like Apple but I find this stuff funny as hell.
- arrowoftime, on 12/31/2008, -0/+18And I find myself sitting at my computer looking at a website with a photograph of a TV screen showing someone sitting at their computer reading a website with pictures of computers.
- mr0nine2five, on 12/31/2008, -0/+18You know, between what I'm SUPPOSED to be getting from you and the German Psychologists, I should be riding in a Limo by now.
- Professr, on 12/31/2008, -0/+17I am a meat popsicle.
- Proz, on 12/31/2008, -0/+16Why can't we all just get along?
- rabidlemur, on 12/31/2008, -3/+19Because this isn't an apple ad, its a fake ad from GTA4, nothing gets by you does it?
- gasin, on 12/31/2008, -0/+14...and when I say take it with a pinch of salt, I mean take it with a pinch of salt, a slice of lime and a shot of tequila (translation = Happy New Year to all of you, fanboys or not)! :)
- norman619, on 12/31/2008, -3/+17Sure it is and sure they did. Wow it must be nice to live in your own little world.
- JonnyCumLightly, on 12/31/2008, -3/+16Thats what I pay YOU for.
- datdamonfoo, on 12/31/2008, -13/+25Imagine seeing this ad while playing it on your Mac!
...oh, wait... - MacParrot, on 12/31/2008, -1/+12Semantics...Do you know how bootcamp works? Apple wrote most of the Windows drivers which is why it works as well as it does. That's NOT a slam on Microsoft BTW as they don't write most of the drivers for their OS.
If I'm playing a Windows game on my Mac running Windows, it's still a Mac. A PC is a PC is a PC. My Mac is running Windows using Apple created drivers playing a Windows game. My Mac is running OS X and using OS X based software. My Mac is running Linux using Linux based software.
If you want to run software x that runs on OS y, then you'll have the best experience doing it running OS y - cannonball, on 12/31/2008, -2/+13I know our motto is: 'think differently', but our real motto is: 'no refunds'
~ Steve Mobs - JonnyCumLightly, on 12/31/2008, -0/+10If you would do what your told, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
- feanix, on 12/31/2008, -6/+16With good reason.
- ToastyMallows, on 12/31/2008, -5/+15Waiting for a fanboy graveyard...
- bigfatphony19, on 12/31/2008, -4/+14Simpsons did it!
Oh, about a year later though.
And GTA IV's humor is amazing. - Clbull, on 12/31/2008, -3/+13No Mapple or Steve Mobbs?
- MonkeyFit, on 12/31/2008, -4/+14But then you're just playing it on a PC.
- inactive, on 12/31/2008, -5/+15I bet you get great frame rates with that set up, too.
- Kerrigore, on 12/31/2008, -5/+14"But Adobe CS4 can utilize all 8gb of my RAM on my computer. I'd like to see a mac do that."
Sure. Come on over to my place and I'll show you. - MacParrot, on 12/31/2008, -1/+10Don't even need a Mac Pro. With the exception of the older MacBooks and the Mac mini, just about any Intel Mac runs Windows fine
- schroderr224, on 12/31/2008, -1/+10I use a different computer than you do. Yay a new reason to hate! Oh wait I must make someone else wrong for hating. Yay I made someone wrong!
Happy New Year. - MacParrot, on 12/31/2008, -2/+11@shik
Depends on the game. Orange Box plays great though I wouldn't want to try Crysis on it (only a 2.16GHz iMac) since the video card is hardly up to snuff for that. Most other games I've tried seem to work pretty well. I'm not that hung up on frame-rates. If I get at least low 50s then I'm satisfied.
@dat
No, I paid $1500 2 years ago for a 24-inch iMac that I have had to add zero dollars to since. BESIDES playing games, it also does pro-audio, pro-video, and pretty much anything else I need it to with almost zero-config. You can do all that stuff on your gamebox too, but not without more headaches than I go through. Your "point" was that I couldn't play GTA4 on my Mac. I already proved you wrong there so what was your other point? OH! That I paid $1000 more than you did? You're gaming on a $500 box? How's that working out? - cvstageman, on 12/31/2008, -0/+8just wait till the rumored "skins" for the Bananaphone nano hit the web
- Kapitaine, on 12/31/2008, -7/+15You think these guys develop their games on a Mac? Nope.
- queshy, on 12/31/2008, -1/+9Anyone else find Safari totally unsnappy in GTA4?
- rabidlemur, on 12/31/2008, -4/+11Developing on a mac would be pointless, buying a new computer every year to play the best games would be stupid when you can upgrade parts on a home brew PC.
