- eobet, on 11/08/2008, -2/+18Something is wrong with this article, becuase it has left out the most popular and powerful GTD app:
Things http://www.culturedcode.com/things/
It does, however, include one app which seems to have completely ripped off the interface from Things.
So, article buried, because there has to be something fishy going on here... - aussieNickuss, on 11/08/2008, -0/+14My favourite is Things, which they failed to mention in this article....
http://www.culturedcode.com/things/iphone/ - GothAlice, on 11/08/2008, -0/+10Things is amazing, syncs very, very fast (I have thousands of items in around 100 projects), and has a great future. (Tags, Areas, etc.) I've even hacked it apart and examined the underlying SQLite database design. It's very, very solid. (UUIDs instead of numerical auto-increment IDs are a life saver! Especially when I had to merge an existing database after a botched restore back in the days before sync.)
- paulzov, on 11/08/2008, -0/+9Why is Things not on this list?
- inactive, on 11/08/2008, -0/+6I second that, where's Things? How could they have missed it?
- Rekutyn, on 11/08/2008, -3/+7OmniFocus.
I use it on Mac and iPhone. This thing is a life saver (when it isn't crashing or taking forever to sync). - svensksvamp, on 11/08/2008, -0/+2I thought this article might would be useful. Well it only covered like a third of all the to-do apps, so it really wasn't
- sprint84, on 11/08/2008, -0/+2I second you...
This article is BS for me..
If you are going to write about something, do it right
They covered a handful of apps, and gave no clear justificative why some are not covered - purelithium, on 11/08/2008, -1/+3Why is this in the "Images" section?
- Flowpoke, on 11/08/2008, -0/+1Why hasn't anyone mentioned the best of them all? Evernote. http://evernote.com/ (Notepad with OCR, Location aware, tagging and neat little checkboxes to make ``todo lists``. iPhone app, Firefox extension, Bookmarklets...
- steviesteveo, on 11/08/2008, -0/+1Clear SEO spam here - this user is trying to pad a blog's search result - Digg users shouldn't let this abuse happen
- stooma, on 11/08/2008, -0/+1The Omnifocus update allows you to archive old items so the sync time is a lot faster.
- emkaysmith, on 11/08/2008, -0/+1My wife is a high-level technical manager with a complicated and lengthy daily schedule. Her iPhone has replaced her Blackberry and much of her laptop in terms of all the functions she uses it for now. And she swears by ToodleDo on her iPhone, which is a lot more than just a "to-do" list.
I just use my old Nokia to make phone calls. - TechBharat, on 11/08/2008, -1/+2RemembeTheMilk iPhone app too is a very well done app. But requires a $25/Year subscription to sync online.
- nikki2300dk, on 11/08/2008, -1/+1Looking up these in the app store, I found one called To Do List, which if you aren't looking for online syncing, has nice features and comes pretty cheap.
- OlgaS, on 01/22/2009, -0/+0Great article though I prefer using Task2Gather (http://task2gather.com). This is quite a new but promising task management service that is available on iPhone, Windows Mobile or desktop computer.
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -0/+0I use a combination of Things and Evernote.
- bob129, on 11/09/2008, -0/+0I do unnecessary.
- LemonDefragger, on 11/08/2008, -4/+2Notes and calendar can do all of this BTW.
- bbilden, on 11/08/2008, -4/+3Hey I have a great idea!!
Let's have a Battle of the Samsung Instinct's Task Managers!!
...Oh wait...
No one really cares about that... - TimboTheGreat, on 11/08/2008, -2/+1Maybe someone should ask Mark Russinovich to port Process Explorer
- izolutionz, on 11/08/2008, -3/+1what about reminders? push notification can't be that hard... MS is doing it... and i love it on my wm6 device.
- Laughto, on 11/08/2008, -4/+2Things is definitely the most popular, but powerful? I think Omnifocus is moreso, taking into account its location-awareness and such.
- CCmachined, on 11/08/2008, -7/+4Task Manager? there's this amazing feature computers have had since the 80s called.... wait for it... Multitasking. which the "revolutionary" iPhone doesn't have. buy a macbo... (wait they probably renamed it to iLaptop by now) instead? i think i'll pass.
why need a Task Manager to manage 1 task? actually wait, the one running task would have to be the task manager... pointless.
if you mean a to-do list / personal organiser then say so. - xChunk, on 11/08/2008, -6/+3What's the difference? They all do the same thing.
- retrospects, on 11/07/2008, -8/+5things to do....
not really give a ***** about a to-do list, the note pad works just fine. - mynameistux, on 11/08/2008, -8/+3Am I the only one who is sick of iPhone news?
- Chachuka, on 11/08/2008, -6/+1oh oh! I have an Iphone now! DUGG
- douglasr007, on 11/08/2008, -7/+2Task managers for the rich bastards who are surviving this economic crisis
