- fitzfan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12No, they've always released many new products in Jan, right after the holidays. So everyone just bought an iPod, now everyone is going to buy another new one. Since the ipods are going to sell anyways during christmas, no matter what generation they are, sell the old ones then release new ones that will sell themselves without needing a holiday season. Seems like a good strategy.

Stories like these seem to make the front page every hour or so and they don't say anything new, so I will bury this story as lame.

i think when they first went to intel that everyone was expecting either a new notebook or a revised powermac. apple came out of left field and released the imac first which no one was expecting. if apple wants these things to be as big as the hype they are going to have to start throwing curve balls like that. - bigkm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm waiting just incase there is a macbook pro upgrade

The humorus thing is, I also purchased a new car head unit (with iPod attachment) not even one week ago, and today, Crutchfield updated with a new model!
