Couple of points:
1) Wallpaper Universe while racy is not porn....it's about as porn as Maxim and its ilk.
2) It's a basic wallpaper application that has a lot of different content.
3) AFAIK, this application is downloadable through the stores of major carriers. Additionally, glamour / model / amateur content makes up less than 1% of Wallpaper Universe's catalog of over 10,000 wallpapers including premium content, personalizable wallpapers, team logos, etc. To characterize Wallpaper Universe as "softcore porn" is misleading. We have been in touch with Apple on this incident, and they informed us that they'd rather not have content like this, and we took it down. End of story."

When you buy a computer, it's your business what applications or content you install. Even if that "computer" fits in your hand and has a cell phone built into it, it's YOUR damned computer, not theirs.
It's bad enough with Apple deciding which programs meet their arbitrary standards of code quality and "non-redundancy" with built-in apps. They have NO business censoring an application solely because they want to censor the content provided through the application (content which is so PG-rated it appears it would be allowed even under the MySpace TOS). - clubspecial9989, on 11/25/2008, -0/+8hmm, i think you mean "hence"

Jesus. I own and iphone and a macbook. If you want to make this some special club, then yes, I'm a member of it. One who's actually helped to make it better by not pretending obvious flaws don't exist. Safari, a good browser? The thing was a crashy mess until the latest update. I can understand their stance on pornography-type ***** on App Store but if they make jailbreaking impossible, I have no use for my iPhone anymore. I bought it because it should be able to run alot of software, and if Apple changes that to software that only they approve of, ***** it. You don't tout "Oh it runs OSX" without the assumption that people should be able to install anything they wish on it, good or bad. If I want to install porn on my phone I should be allowed, Nokia/Symbian and even Windows Mobile lets us do that.
