- echobucket, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18Well, it wouldn't make for an interesting diagram if all three boxes said "porn"
- ChromaVita, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16Dogs, Cars, and Football. Is that what Apple thinks their users are browsing the internet for?
- Zero456, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14Sounds, and looks, a lot like what the Firefox developers are trying to do with Places.
- radiofrequency, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Interesting stuff, but there's no chance I will ever switch to another browser if it doesn't have great ad blocking software.
I was a big Camino fan until Adblock stopped working for Camino. Now I use firefox on my Mac even though it's a bit slower and uglier. It's still better than seeing ads everywhere you look. - jragon, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8I love Omniweb, but this is different. OmniWeb "workspaces" are set up manually, whereas this aims to do the same thing automatically.
- Unlgued, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Buttons should be "lolcats," "trolling," and "porn."
- Twee, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6You can hide ads with a css style sheet in Safari.
- bearded, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Actually it looks a lot like OmniWeb
- Hobofuzz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5When going back to 1997, Vista's "stacks" look a lot like BeOS's queries.
- mavedatthews85, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Isn't this why we have tabbed browsing and favorites?
I guess it remains to be seen what the true advantage will be with this. Interesting, though. - BlueLaser, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4When applied to the file system, it starts to look a lot like Vista's "stacks" (for better or worse...)

or,
http://shiira.jp/en.php - mikepictor, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I want to like Safari...I really do. It's undoubtedly fast, blazing fast, but just has too few extensions and customizability. Other small things, like I am too used to Ctrl-Tab to switch between tabs, (instead of Ctrl-{ what is up with that), and other smaller limitations of UI.
I hope it can become the browser I prefer to use, I like the speed, but I will stick with Flock for now. - blakeage, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Ditto. I don't think there's any need for seeing the previous say, 5 last pages. If they make it so when you mouse to the right, it pops out upon mouseover, I might like it.
Hell, screw the buttons, make these buttons in the address bar:
yahoo.com?id=... > google.com?search... > digg.com/apple/...
Let those be the last few sites browsed. I'm honestly too lazy to even use the address bar drop down list of previous sites, but if they made them buttons, cool. One click makes me happy. - Lionhart, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Same here. Also I couldn't live without Firefox's Find feature. The bar on the bottom of your browser is far better than the godawful popup find in Camino. It's reminiscent of IE...
- rowlodge, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2looks like a hundred other apps.
- Topher06, on 10/10/2007, -0/+290% of the time I want to go back or forward one or two page, as long as Apple doesn't remove navigation in that way completely, then I am fine with it. Honestly, I have history turned off, I could care less where I was 4 hours ago on the web and content I want to revist is bookmarked. This sounds like Apple is trying to create lazy ass (or dumbass) bookmarking.
- Wolfsoap, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Dogs, Cars, and Football = LOLcats, Digg and Porn
- Prod_Deity, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Ditto. I used Camino religiously until just recently.
Even with Firefox's sluggishness (especially with Digg), I can't live without all the extensions.
One would think that someone would port over the extension manager to Camino, if possible. - Hobofuzz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Not if you configure it to create them automatically.
- Twee, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1in Safari it is Command + }
Which is ***** stupid considering to make a } you have to hold down the shift key. Lame. - penguincentral, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Eh, I would use Safari if I had a mac, but I am too used to firefox. I have three extensions that I enjoy using: Google Browser Sync, Gmail Manager, and Rss Ticker.
- coolbru, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Safaristand uses , and . to cycle through tabs, without any modifiers. Given that there is only a key clash when you're in an input box, it hardly ever clashes (and input wins). Safaristand is very nicely done - thing I like most is that it saves open tabs and windows. Now if only the tab implementation in any browser (on any platform) was as good as iTerm...
- ScrumFritter, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1What I want is a way to use Expose for tabs in Safari... I'm so used to using it to navigate windows, I keep trying to do it with tabs. Does anything like this exist?
- mrBitch, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1safari + safari stand + safari block FTW
- BlueStarr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1And going back even further, Apple's piles....yes I said piles.
- exomni, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Or cmd-shft- -->
Honestly, if it's that hard to move your middle finger over the shift button, you have serious problems.
And all these hotkeys can be changed very easily, anyways. - exomni, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Looks like Omniweb/Opera/a million other browsers that have done the same thing.
- JasonCox, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1"When applied to the file system, it starts to look a lot like Vista's "stacks" (for better or worse...)"
You know, I thought the same thing but didn't know if I should say it or not. - HyperJack, on 10/10/2007, -6/+3Lawsuit? anyone?
- elvisjulep, on 10/10/2007, -11/+3developers developers developers developers developers...
