- SystemError, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3oh this is iTunes 7. right?
- pfdogs, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8In other Apple news: Steve Jobs urinated at 12:33 P.M. today.
- Supafly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My predictions:
G5 Powerbooks (Please GOD)
Single (Possibly dual) processor, dual core G5's running at 2.0GHz, 2.5GHz and 3.0GHz respectively.
New versions of Final Cut Pro and Core Audio to take advantage of the dual core, possibly dual processor dual core (4-way) processing. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This is what microsoft had to say about that http://tinyurl.com/df9yo
- chicagospur, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Apple also made the Pippin (which was sold by Bandai) around '96, but it got trumped by the N64, PS, and Saturn.
So it looks like Apple was first in these segments after-all."
What about Atari 2600, sold in 1977?
Or Commodore CD32, first CD based console (and 32 bit!), sold in 1993? - BlueStarr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is going to be the last IBM PPC model before the switch over to intel. Dual core bad boys. How ever gets one of these is going to have a Mac that last for freaking years! (6-7)
- slowspin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1October 19th, 7:30 ET: "We are pleased to announce we are rolling out... our next press conference. By invitation only. See you all there next week."
- Grandfinale1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This press conference is for iporn. The latest virgin of the ipod. Its going to sell great if you ask me.
- mikev, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Probably just a update to [enter never used product here].
- Grandfinale1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Three part act again
ACT: The Iporn
Act2: Iporn nano with special holder.
Act 3: Itunes 7 new features porn movies with the entire girls gone wild series. - BlueStarr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Don't get your hopes up. It looks like Front Row is iMac only. But This will show up on BitTorrent sites as soon as it's released. Buy the remote from Apple and you're good to go. I have the pervious iMac so I more than anyone need this.
- anagami, on 07/02/2008, -0/+0"Don't get your hopes up. It looks like Front Row is iMac only. But This will show up on BitTorrent sites as soon as it's released. Buy the remote from Apple and you're good to go. I have the pervious iMac so I more than anyone need this."
Or make Front Row part as iLife and sell it for any Mac. - SirThom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0My prediction is that we'll have some sort of new PowerBooks. Maybe Apple will release Front Row for the "other" Macintoshes too, eh? =)
- BlueStarr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^^^^ha...oh *****...
- ZrO-1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm really hoping that Apple will be anouncing the new PowerBooks and at least updates for the PowerMacs.
See the post about Intel's Flash Cache announcement, and imagine what Apple could do to it's laptops with that technology... - Gutterdammurung, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i'm guessing it might be an iPSP :P
- ZrO-1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Actually, apple *did* make both a media-centric computer and a game console before.
Apple had made the "Macintosh TV" back in late '93 and dropped it early '94. It was an all black PC based on the LC-520 style case and had a cable-ready TV capture card built in.
Apple also made the Pippin (which was sold by Bandai) around '96, but it got trumped by the N64, PS, and Saturn.
So it looks like Apple was first in these segments after-all. - Tr176, on 10/12/2007, -0/+03 press conferences in 5 months, apple has more money than they know what to do with i think... this will be all about the new G5's and how they can run photoshop faster or something like that perhaps a 2.8ghz or even 3.0ghz(highly doubt the 3ghz)
- iaskedTGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0More flailing of the lemming king.
- BlueStarr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0When and where did this Photo editing software rumor begin? I think Apple has no interest what so ever to enter into this area. But we are talking about Apple and you can never predict what they are going to do next.
- Seaton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Also Still Yet Even One More Thing Again. Part XVI. Continued. Grand Finale.
- Seaton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I predict Steve Jobs will be wearing a mock black turtleneck and a comfortable pair of jeans.
Oh, and tennis shoes, my sources say tennis shoes. - dimplemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"In other Apple news: Steve Jobs urinated at 12:33 P.M. today."
Crap! I missed it. Will there be a stream later on? - Jules, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0About a Photo software, I really think someone should make a competitor to it soon, cause Adobe is takin the piss with their crappy updates cause their competition is not there.
Anyway, many Photoshop users use a mac anyway, and would welcome an (cheaper?) Apple Photo editing software, optimised for a mac. - Bitgod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Apple is doing this the smart way, if they announced all their new products at the same time, they wouldn't get as much press. Heck, a month ago, it seemed like Logitech was announcing a new webcam, mouse, or keyboard every day for a period there. The only difference is, people aren't quite as psycho about Logitech as they are for Apple.
- chicagospur, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Apple invents the games console.
iPlaystation or OSXBox...? - TheZenOfMac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What else could apple have up it's sleeve?
- BlueStarr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I can't take this anymore" "Please no more" "***** you Apple for playing my head like this"
Stop. Your. Bitchin. This is for Mac users. If you aren't an Apple enthusiast then don't post, don't read. You control what exists in your world. Don't you?
:D - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Apple'Acid'#1
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Pro instantly brought up their Pro software updates (iDVD/iMovie/whatever)
- DEIx15x8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Maybe they will finally announce the new Mac Mini upgrade that has been available for a month unofficially.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The new bad boy uber machines (as per expected in this up coming announcement) are going to be amazing machines for years to come, regardless of them being pre the intel switch over. We have one of the first duel chip power mac g5's that came out in the sexy silver case up in the audio studio and it's still a frightening machine.
- a_greer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Steve will quote Weird Al Yancovic
"It's all avout the pentiums baby!
Ive got a flat pannel monitor 40" wide,
I think Dells says etch-a-scetch on the side!"
But really
Everyone is missing it here:
Alias (maya) just got bought out by autodesk, they kill mac products...Apple is going to replace a Maya killer that runs on Linux and Mac OSX for half the price...think FCP v Avid
This isnt a move for right now, it is a move to det them up for four or five years from now. - 16x9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0jkfan87 is on another anti-Apple rant!
Must be a day that ends in "y". ;) - neocitron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the average consumer doesn't even go to news and rumor sites.. so people like us on DIGG have no affect on Apple sales whatsoever.. in fact... most consumers don't know about the one more thing event.. and most consumers don't know about the next event either.. and don't care... they just like pretty iPods and sexy looking Macintoshes...
- ellingswin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0maybe an isight in a powerbook
- a_greer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Release a maya killer, not replace
- Swift2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Geez, some people really are being driven hysterical by Apple's current momentum. Won't last forever, boys. Jobs is a mortal, you know? By 2020, he's out of the picture. Now do you feel okay?
The rumors, and they seem pretty cool, are dual Dual-core G5s. The last IBM G5s. Plus a Powerbook. Well, the last time the rumor sites were wrong: they said, no video iPods. Now, maybe they're wrong again?
I'm waiting for the Intel Mac to buy. - MadChicken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey I just got an idea. Why not release OS X on *Virtual PC*. Then you can run it on your beige box, hardware will be predictable, and it will still sell Mac hardware.
- rc_collins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They are getting all the boring crap out of the way to clear the calandar for the annousing of OSx86
- Sferrero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0umm i watched the last one, and the one before that, and the one before that...
They are fun to watch, if you dont like then don't digg. Very simple concept.
Welcome to Digg jkfan87 (where its not all about you and what you like)
BTW PFDog, that was an awesome comment, made me laugh - hyperpasta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Pro? iDVD? donwilson, you couldn't be more wrong. You're thinking iLife, that's CONSUMER digital media, bundled with all Macs free.
Check out DVD Studio Pro, Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Motion, and Shake. Then we'll talk. Shake is over $3000 by itself, Logic is $1000, and Final Cut, DVD Studio Pro, and Motion combined are another $1000. This is the software used to create movies like The Lord of The Rings and Corpse Bride, not "My Wedding".
Oh, and rumor has it that a new app, Photo Pro (ORGANIZER, not editor) is on the way. - jimma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sweet, I enjoy watching these apple conferences, Jobs makes everything look so fun and easy. Yet I still don't own anything made by apple.
- gModo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yea im wait so patiently for them to release new generation powerbook so i can finally be a mac owner, not just leaching of my friends and college's computers
- dylanA, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i hope its new laptops!
- BlueStarr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"This is strange timing, as I believe iTunes 7 isn't due for another month."
lol from the Mac Ach. - JayPiddy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Maybe it will be the long awaited Photoshop killer that they have been sitting on for the last two years.
- mikataur, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0> Maybe it will be the long awaited Photoshop killer that they have been sitting on for the last two years.
Adobe might have a thing or two to say about that.
Mac needs Photoshop. Period. It might live without Office, but without Photoshop it is as dead as a Monty Python parrot! - mikataur, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0> PSP turns white and gets iPod software.
There *is* already a "ceramic" PSP!
And I like the plink-plink-plink noises that the PSP makes, probably more than the tick-tick-tick noises of my iPod. - ellingswin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0and front row in both
