- SimonGray, on 10/11/2007, -3/+51Where is the interesting part? It's just a bunch of loosely connected phrases.
- adiqiucorp, on 10/11/2007, -5/+44the explanation is here : "Google : Who the f... is Microsoft?"
- Spanca, on 10/11/2007, -3/+27Exactly. It's a brief, patchy attempt at a timeline. How is that interesting?
I was expecting some sort of devious conspiracy theory - JesperJJ, on 10/11/2007, -0/+22Look for "Microsoft Corporation", not just "Microsoft":
http://www.google.com/views?q=Microsoft+Corporation+view%3Atimeline - mbiesz, on 10/11/2007, -5/+18It seems that there are a few restricted keywords with the new views. Virtually everything works, but for example searching for "microsoft" returns no results:

- Hacbarton, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5love the feature (great for brief overviews), but beyond the Apple Records entry I see no wrongs.

So Duke Nukem Forever, according to Google, has been vaporware for 68 years. Damnnnn. - eoncire, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6It looks like humans have only been around since 1977.....

- asancho, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Apparently, according to google timeline, God has only been around since the 1960's. No wonder Jesus looks like a hippy...
- EugineMW, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5Anything with Apple makes the front page these days...
- nickoberg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2still don't know what is interesting about this.
"Using Google Experimental tool, launched few days ago, ----->you will find this. - MacParrot, on 10/11/2007, -8/+10awwww, did Apple run over your puppy? Or are you just a bitter POS that hates everything someone else uses that you don't?
- h2g242, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1so apple just kind of fizzled out after 1990... i can understand that
- Viat, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Check Duke Nukem Forever's timeline.
- milkdog, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Interesting little tool, all be it seemingly less than perfected, and quite basic to say the least. Yet, there is promise here indeed. I would indeed like to see this once it is more developed, and quite a bit more robust. For what it is, it does a good job clearly, but one must remember that the tool has no way of understanding information on a contextual basis (or does it...), as such clearly there will be many oddly stated fact, and even blatantly wrong, or awkward information.
talk about Googlezon... Oh god I hope it didn't hear me say that - Speed, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Aparrently, Google things Microsoft is a product of Nazis
http://www.google.com/views?q=microsoft+view:timeline - asauterChicago, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2^^^ Same here, I really don't get this.... what are we supposed to be looking for?
- SVPirate, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1It's experimental, and even for the Apple search it doesn't retrun half as many results as it ought to. If this was working properly, and I'm confident it will eventually, don't get me wrong here, then it would return pages of results for Apple, Microsoft, IBM, Google, Yahoo, etc. Nearly every major and minor landmark is documented somewhere for most major corps, especially in Technology, so this has some work to be done on it I think before it'll get to where Google are trying to go with it.
It's a very cool idea though - redrabbit, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Noone saw what I saw? I laughed.

APPLE DID NOT INVENT MIDI
thank you - clarity661, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1when I looked at apples history, I thought "HOLY ***** how did they do that?" Then I started looking up stuff like slashdot and phrack and realized they're just greping through their web cache for dates. As you can see for slashdot, this is inaccurate at best. True the apple one looked nice, but everything else I searched for either 1) wasn't there or 2) had random stuff in it. I imagine this will be dropped soon.
