So don't be idiots and force Apple to get you a new battery for no reason. Don't bite the hand that feeds. Don't make the company that innovates great ***** for you pay out for no reason!

He ended up getting so pissed that he just left it there. I am willing to bet he is even more pissed now. Of course three years later!

- ciphex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The date on this story is new but I recieved a letter from Apple a few months ago RE: my 3rd gen ipod. It was a battery replacement claim form. If my battery dies I can fill this thing out and send it back to Apple for free replacement. w00t.
- Jicksta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have a 3G iPod and its battery is absolute garbage. Sometimes it'll only stay charged for an hour after displaying a fully "Charged" icon, sometimes it'll die and the next morning it'll run fine.
Two questions:
1. Anyone know how to check the manufacturing date of an iPod by serial number?
