Workout - Episode 101 - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18It annoys me that it's been almost a year now since TV Shows were introduced to iTunes and not a single one is available in the UK.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18This is actually pretty cool. I did enjoy the free episode of that show "30 Days." Thanks.
- thedak, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Goes the same for Canada. It is rather irritating.
- rgov, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Please don't do that, it reduces the quality of Digg. The article clearly says that's in the US only. When it becomes available in Canada, I'm sure we'll see that on Digg, too.
Digg down stories for being incredibly stupid, inaccurate, spam, etc. but don't digg down valid stories just because they don't apply to you. - imnewtryme, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I watched the whole last season of "30 Days".
Excellent show, brings many great issues to the front, and illustrates how exactly different parts of our culture work (or don't work).
Highly recommended. - gronne, on 10/12/2007, -7/+13Everyone should download the "Immigration" episode of 30 Days. Very interesting.
- halleyscomet, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9@Elektriq
Because the RIAA and MPAA are afraid of "pirates"
Arrrg. Grr. Matey.
Don't like it? Stop pissing and moaning in an online forum and try to raise awareness about the Racketeering organizations masquerading as industry associations. - gronne, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7This list is also incomplete. There's a free episode of "Ghost Hunters" you can get also.
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewTVSeason?id=135511449&s=143441 - apotropaic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I wonder if its becaues there are different laws in your countries that wouldn't allow them to protect the contact as much as the networks would like. Might not be their fault! Not a big fan of iTunes or Apple, but I'm just sayin.
- tont0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Dont live in the US? Do you where your proxy server is today?
- wpholmes, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Maybe they'll announce the international video store at the 1 year anniversary of the US store.
- jayripley123, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Old news...this has been up for ages
- MonkeyBoy87, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Actually for Canada its even worse. Since we get the actual networks directly (not just the shows) such as Fox/ABC/NBC. When a show airs at night (such as Colbert Report) we always see the link saying this show is available on iTunes and we cant go and get it.
I really dont know if its a CRTC or licensing issue with Apple providing TV over iTunes.ca. This just forces people in Canada to aquire the content by other means. - zionKing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Go to the main itunes page. In the left-top menu you'll see "TV Shows" page link. Click that at the bottom of the page in the center is a horizontal pill-shaped white bar that says "Free Downloads" ... that is a link... click it and you're at the Free Downloads page.
- griz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6You guys obviously aren't pirating enough stuff.
- leomyhero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Damn! It's been awhile since I've been to the TV Shows page on ITMS. I think they feature more networks than I even have with my cable provider.
- Starfire42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Allright, this is cool and stuff, but I'm friggin' tired of the yanks getting all the cool stuff, and us swedes are left with the basics. Don't get me wrong, I like yanks, and I like Apple, but the store needs to be the same all over the world, with the internet all borders are gone, and this kind of stuff should reflect this! I mean, I can buy DVDs and CDs from the states, why not in iTunes? Open it up, Apple!!!!
- TimRogers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2And still the UK has no TV on iTunes :(
- mainchara, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2EVERY pilot or season premier of every show needs to be free. That way I'll know if the show is worthy enough for me to buy more episodes. Like with 30 days, i got the free episode and didn't know what to expect but now i love the show and bought the first season.
- ngageguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Doing the pilots free is a good marketing move, it got me to watch a couple shows I wouldn't have watched or didn't know existed. Funny side note, I saw the previews and website for who wants to be a superhero, and even as a comic geek didn't want to watch it. I was bored one day and saw it on itunes and watched it. Sorry Stan Lee, but this REALLY sucks. Fat Momma? Monkey Girl? OMG! Please make it go away.
- noneroy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3You give us 'Spooks' and we'll give you whatever you want. The BBC has some good shows that we can't get either.
- grayapple, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Links to a blank 'Free Videos' page in the UK store.
- gbeirne, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1tont0r, I have no idea - but I do know my iTunes account is tied to a UK debit card.
- MicrowavedH2o, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6Who wants to be a super hero is like the bad parts of survivor and striperella combined... (i.e. the worst thing Stan Lee ever put his name on).
And how is that immigration episode of 30 days legal? - PrplHaze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is cool, even if all the shows are not. Even though I watched a marathon of Who Wants to Be a Superhero and thought it should be called "Super Cheese" I'd d/l the show for free to watch whilst sitting on my super toilet.
And a few of the shows look good, i.e. 30 days, Black & White, and Psych.
Hope to see more added soon. Is there a way to 'bookmark' this in iTunes? - BradC, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I saw this yesterday when looking at TV Shows on iTunes, and I didn't realize it was something they had just started doing. I did get the episode of 30 days plus a little "making of" clip from the show.
- kevincannon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'd guess it's because of international distribution agreements.
Different companies own the rights to distribute shows in different regions in the world.
I guess Apple will need to make agreements with more of them to have Video available elsewhere. - noneloud, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6That's what the list is supposed to be.

Did anyone else notice that the videos that are given away for free are the ones that suck and just want to attract more viewers? - CoconutKC, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Awesome! I've been wanting to watch the 30 days show for quite some time now, excellent idea. Steve Jobs for president =)
- drogo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If it's free, why do I have to sign up and give them a CC#?
I understand they don't intend to charge it, but I think it should just be as easy as downloading it. It is from BT. ;-) - mecole21, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7can someone give a list of everthing available?
- jsg7, on 10/12/2007, -10/+11Who Wants To Be A Superhero is moronic. Don't waste your time...
That said, I'm happy to have a free downloads page. It's a great idea. - vypergts, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's missing the free episodes of Blade the Series and Passions that ITMS is also offering.
Although maybe that isn't a bad thing... - jayripley123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1dude4god, if you are on the tv show page you just scroll to the bottom and its a block of 4 thingy...sorry, its hard to describe but it is towards the bottom..hope i helped
- cybernezumi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1As some people have mentioned, the page in iTunes only lists the featured stuff so its rather incomplete. For a list of everything free on iTunes, check out http://www.itsfreedownloads.com -- there are even updates by RSS and email.
- redrighthand, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1thanks for the free *****. At least there are a couple decent shows and i'm not talking about blade
- PradaPete, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1is there a workaround to signing up from Europe that doesn't involve iTMS coupons?
- coreydoucorey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Really good. I'm surprised.
- astrotrain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I wouldn't even waste the band width for most of the free shows.
- omaryak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The BBC is launching its own digital offerings which the rest of the world won't have access to, so enjoy yourself there at least.
- Dude4God, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks i feel like an idiot now for now seeing that
- camintmier, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Is there anything like this, except for music on ITunes? I know on the main page of the ITMS, they have links at the bottom left corner of free songs by featured artists...
- uacheesehead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Poorly worded headline.. I read it as not requiring iTunes to access these TV shows. It's actually a page in iTunes that lists out the free shows (as the article indicates).
- jonnyeh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@noneroy: If you want Spooks in North America, look for MI5. The DVD version is uncut (unlike how it was shown on TV in North America). I don't know if it's available in the states, but it is here in Canada.
- TomRemixed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Psych is a good show. I watch tv shows on a TV though.
- methodshop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this free TV Show download page unfortunately isn't the one stop shop it should be. For some reason free downloads for TV shows like Passions and Blade weren't included on this "free" page. Hopefully Apple will make an all-inclusive free download page soon, but until then, this partial page will have to do.
- fitzfan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Why do you think? have you looked at the shows? they are all pilots or behind trhe scenes specials to make you watch/buy the real show every week.
- alej744, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Yeah well, anything that isnt the US sucks.
