Apple admits MobileMe screwup, offers free 30-day extension

appleinsider.com — Apple on Wednesday admitted to botching the launch of its new MobileMe Internet service and said all current customers will be awarded with a free 30-day extension to their subscription as a result. "The transition from .Mac to MobileMe was a lot rockier than we had hoped," the company said on its website.

    I am glad they cleared up the "push" name issue, and i hope we do see actual push soon.

  • vinod1978, on 07/16/2008, -0/+1My phone gets emails instantly...It takes a bit longer to get calendar and contact information "pushed". The only thing that is really pushed is email, unless of course you edit your calendar and contacts on mobileme's website - then it's instantly pushed to the iphone. What I really want (an need) however is the ability to send emails from my personal domain while still having the push features for Mobile Me. I love the easiness of sending emails on my phone, and putting my messages directly in folders and seeing the changes on my Mail app instantly, however I can not reply to business contacts with my .mac email or even the new .me email. I would even pay more money if they allowed this feature. If they do - then mobile me will be perfect - IMO anyway.
