- noahhoward, on 10/12/2007, -4/+37Me too, I'd be more excited if I could afford tickets.
- GraceMolloy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+33I'd give it an hour ... depends on traffic.
- Stopher, on 10/12/2007, -4/+23My God. It's full of stars.
- Amplix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS x INFINITUM
- 21chrisp, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16People really get excited about WinHEC? If it has Steve Balmer jumping around like a maniac then it... might be amusing... in an embarrassing sort of way.
- the0ckid82, on 10/12/2007, -6/+19i wonder how long it will take before its up for torrent
- Wtsp, on 10/12/2007, -6/+17I can't wait for leopard
- yabos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10If you go to WWDC just to get pre-release Leopard you're an idiot. There's a lot more reason to go to WWDC than a Leopard install disk. The whole point of it is to learn, not get a DVD.
- Me1000, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12No, I clicked on a [digg] link on macrumors, and it had everything filled out automatically. I just hit the submit button!
- GGERG15, on 10/12/2007, -8/+16god I'm excited
- aaronmarks, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10I personally wish that ADC members were all given drastically discounted tickets to MacWorld. If you pay $500 a year to ADC then it is likely that you deserve to be there.
- unmarked, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12Last year, Apple promised a preview of Leopard. Developers coughed up the dough for WWDC 2006. The announcement/pre-release was fairly disappointing, especially since there were a bunch of "secret features". Cost $3000.
If you wanted to receive pre-releases, most which were barely usable, you had to at least renew a Select membership: Cost $400.
As a bonus, after being left in the dark for 7-8 months, Apple tells developers that they have to attend WWDC 2007 to get the beta release of Leopard in June. Additional Cost: $3000.
Cost so far for smaller developers: $6400.
That better be one damn cool beta release!! I'm having my doubts right now. - meatmcguffin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7@naio
You're a bit like Flag but not as good at trolling. Sort of like a Flag Diet.
Just give it up, you tit. - kethraal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I'm excited too. When you think about it, beta at WWDC is a new record -- in the past, it was never referred to as a "Beta". This year, it seems that 1) they're no longer actively changing core code like they were with Tiger and 2) They've actually started their testing phase, like Panther was at WWDC.
GREAT News! - aptiva, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5without the discount? $1595
- Logik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4MacWorld and WWDC aren't the same thing. You likely meant WWDC not Macworld.
Me, I signed up as a ADC Student member... got a scholarship which paid for the ticket. This will be my first time. But any business that is making money, they can afford the ADC membership.. plus it has great value such as support and such, and they can also afford the price of the tickets to WWDC. Since really, the ticket is a little less than half the cost to go for most people (Travel, Hotel, food, etc). For me it's turning into about $800 for just hotel and travel. $388 for plane tickets, $450 for hotel (splitting costs with a roommate). - Disodium, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4thats nice, i cant afford to go so i diddnt know. The majority of people are in the same situation
- aptiva, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4croccamen: I'm a mac user (I'm even going to wwdc) ..but isn't wwdc *also* a giant self-pat on the back?
- ascolti, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4THIS got 295 diggs. I got this email two days ago.
- JuliusErving, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I got the email a few days ago. Too bad i can't afford to go.. $1,295 / ticket to WWDC.
- meatmcguffin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Uh...idiot yourself.
'Apple sends our WWDC teaser emails' makes perfect sense. How do you know the submitter didn't intend it? - MikeOSX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Save three hundred in admission? God, how much does it cost to get in?
- TylerLavite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3to bad it costs way to much for me to go just for a beta...
- Rice, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4"One more thing..."
- noahhoward, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2How do you know the 'our' wasn't intentional?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well, for one I don't think there are many non-ADC-members attending WWDC, so it would effectively mean discounts for everyone. If it was possible, Apple would have done it by now. And, of course, ADC Premier membership comes with a "free" WWDC ticket, but at a higher price.
- Me1000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Our" was intended!
- kethraal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"like Panther was at WWDC."
Oops... cut and paste gone awry. I meant "which Panther had not by the time of the WWDC."
You knew that anyways, people who dug me ;-) - AceyS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1AHHH Why does the Mac Rumors website have a Windows Vista ad on their page?!?! I GUESS you can run it on a mac... bleh
- Me1000, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This was covered!
Our was intended! - stmiller, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The conference is for developers. The ticket includes many clinics on writing software for 10.5, and such. This is not a mac-fan rally event for end users.
- superKduper, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Apple according to a rumor site, is also teasing people with this web site:
http://www.digg.com/apple/Is_there_a_MAJOR_new_product_release_coming_from_Apple_this_summer
with something new/nifty - ohmar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@kroccamen,
Yeah, because WWDC is so different. - windhawk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1dugg down for writing "our" instead of "out" in the headline.
- Fairly, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1The official release will cost you $129. This unofficial wobby beta release will cost you ten times that. Actually a bit more. And then there are travel costs and hotel and lodging costs. All for a beta that's not the final product. Go ahead, suckers: my seat's not taken.
- jamesburton1, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1I was about to say the exact same thing.
Old news. - judicar, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3Copy and Paste is so harf.
- kris33, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2The ADC-builds already are cracked to run on OSX86s :) And the time the torrent is uploaded doesn't matter that much if the download speeds are slow.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2double post. digg down, please.
- kris33, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2WTF? Double post? Buggy.
- mercurysquad, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3I wonder how long it will be before it's hacked to run on regular PCs
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1How many times do I have to ask. Double-check our post before submitting it to digg!
Oh woops I meant "your" not our, much like this submitter meant "out". Do you get my point now?
Idiots... - naio, on 10/12/2007, -10/+0Is there such a thing as OS X developers? Develop for what???
- ewcost, on 10/12/2007, -19/+4Awesome. New MacBook Pro's at WWDC!
- shamess, on 10/12/2007, -17/+1Brilliant story, though it really annoys me when people copy and paste stuff from the story. We click the link to get to the story. The description is for the poster to describe what's happening in the story. Copy and pasting from the page may even be copyright violations.
It's not just you, Me1000, this post just accumulatively annoyed me. xP - heaintheavy, on 10/12/2007, -21/+1Apple is reading our e-mail now?!
- Ramble, on 10/12/2007, -22/+1I'm far more excited about WinHEC (then again I am a Windows guy..).

What is Digg?
