- takamalak, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21Wow, right on the heels of 9A528d. They must be working overtime to make sure this thing comes out before the end of October.
- trunkster, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16Before tiger went gold there were about 5 builds that week. So a great number of builds one after another this late in the game may very well mean gold is very close. Also the only bugs listed is upgrading from tiger to leopard on osx and hp printer drivers, that's it. Looks like the october release date will be a reality. I'm guessing around the 25.
- trunkster, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10I'll save all the windows fanboys their comment about this. It's because of the universal binary that it's that big.
- msgyrd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I dugg you down for being unable to create coherent sentences. Honestly, I have no clue what your intentions were with that comment.
- Niten, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8And if I remember right, that actually means four versions of the executable code in some applications: 32-bit PowerPC, 64-bit PowerPC, x86, and x86-64.
(True 64-bit operating system FTW.) - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6That's because this is a new build of the whole OS.
- InitialDMP5, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8I think it will be on time. The OS has been done for the most part since early summer. Apple has most likely been using this time to really get a bug free version out of the door. While that won't be possible, the extra time will certainly limit the chances of something major going wrong in the software. I can't wait to get Leopard though. It will be the last OS release I can get with my student discount.
- scorpioX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Because you downloaded it from a torrent site? Apple doesn't seed new full builds via Software Update, only smaller "minor" updates. So far the biggest update via SU for Leopard was 500MB. Full builds are only seeded to paid ADC members via the ADC website.
- danny951, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Where are the PICS?
- msgyrd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3There is also a ton of crap too, that doesn't need to be installed. Localizations for about a hundred languages for each program, probably like 2 gigs of printer drivers. The operating system itself and the primary applications are pretty tidy.
- k3vinmartian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Are you using a pirated copy?
- NSResponder, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2You have to have a Leopard seed key for it to show up in the downloads section. Did you attend WWDC this year, or are you a Premier or Select ADC member?
-jcr - k3vinmartian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1ug...the messed up, but you can find it
- VitriolAndAngst, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It's because they want REAL developers testing a final, complete OS. Otherwise it would be the essential code. This looks like final polishing stage to me.
- SirG3, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Anyone have the checksum for the dmg?
- themastersb, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I'd like to see this get released along side an improved look for the regular macbooks. I know that when leopard comes out I'll end up getting one just to have them release new models the next week.
- chrisjf, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2FOR PICTURES GO HERE:
http://www.appleology.com/2007/09/22/leopard-9a559 ... - rowlodge, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3thats why ive been waiting to get a mac.
- yabos, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Verify it with Disk Utility if you really want to.
- msgyrd, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2I don't think anything picture worthy was released. These final builds are going to be mostly about bug fixes, not features.
- LeonardNimrod, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2I've logged into my ADC account and searched for the build. I have yet to receive an email for activation.
- Antebios, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1And here I thought they were talking about the anime movie APPLESEED.
- projohn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Here is a OS 10.5 release date projection.
http://home.inklingmarkets.com/market/show/6734 - s0lid, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0where can i download the latest build and try it?
- MetalUnderShock, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Woot!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -9/+4Wow 6.55 GB
- zonk3r, on 10/10/2007, -6/+1Software Update doesn't show stuff immediately. But you should know that already...
- LeonardNimrod, on 10/10/2007, -7/+2Software Update isn't seeing this build, yet I installed 9A528d yesterday.
note: my first kernel crash occurred last night with yesterday's build. - danny951, on 10/10/2007, -8/+1Where are the PICS?
- k3vinmartian, on 10/10/2007, -9/+2Why do you say that? Apple doesn't ever check to see if you are actually a student. Just buy online through the Apple Store for Education
http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/routingpa ...
Pick your school or any school really, buy, save big, no questions asked. - gabe37, on 10/10/2007, -10/+1I hope it doesn't get pushed back till macworld :(
- .Steven, on 10/10/2007, -17/+1"lists only two known issues for Leopard. The two issues described involve upgrading fr..." and Microsoft says their products only have features? So, is that one Apple fanboy down? (Comment gets dugg down, for critistising apple, however when I mention what is below, I get dugg up!)
I love the iPhone!
