- scottholdren, on 11/08/2007, -0/+18- DesktopServices and moving files across partition - maybe this addresses the issue with data loss?
- skoops, on 11/08/2007, -6/+192 weeks after the release. Way to go, Apple! Now would you kindly enable airport support in time machine!?!
- newbill123, on 11/08/2007, -0/+9You can likely find this through torrents and other means, but be aware that you will be reinstalling Leopard when the actual update comes out. If you have something to test, by all means get the seed now. If you're just curious, you probably want to wait.
- desenso, on 11/08/2007, -0/+7It's not out yet...
- macnerd, on 11/08/2007, -0/+7Don't digg Iwantawii down, there's some issues with wireless. Have a look at the Apple forums.

- Jeffler, on 11/08/2007, -0/+6Seeding =/= Torrent? Damn :-(
- wstrucke, on 11/08/2007, -0/+6just fyi -- this is why you always send an error report to apple when something crashes
i'm surprised at how few people realize they actually do some good - streak, on 11/09/2007, -0/+5Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! - Retnuh730, on 11/08/2007, -1/+6I agree. Now I have to power cycle the Airport to get it to connect to my default (hidden) network. I'm also having issues with certain programs, though usually I can fix them when I open it with using rosetta...
- boyasunder, on 11/08/2007, -0/+5Yeah, I'm the same way. I was having major problems lately having it recognize my hidden network after waking up, but now it's great.
- stalefries, on 11/08/2007, -2/+6@longofest: maybe you should click the reply link next time?
- inactive, on 11/08/2007, -3/+7Hopefully they fix the issues with MacBook Pro keyboards freezing up. And the issues with the wireless connection dropping. Oh and the issues with kernel panics....
Seems like Leopard was a bit rushed out to retail.. - aussieNickuss, on 11/08/2007, -0/+4Leopard cracks the ***** on our school network which uses 802.1x auth. Nothing major, you just have to manually click the airport menu and select the desired network at every login, whereas Tiger was automatic.
One thing I wish Apple had done with Leopard was allow 802.1x certificates to load before a user logs in so you can be bound to an Active Directory domain over wireless. - Wander2000, on 11/08/2007, -0/+4Read only SMB issues...hope it also fixes the ability to see Windows machines on the network, which is broken for many users.
- Iwantawii, on 11/08/2007, -4/+8How about airport support in general! It was much more reliable (usable) in Tiger.
- vh1`, on 11/13/2007, -0/+3here's to hoping the Front Row 2 gets some attention
- NoOneButMe, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3Macbook Pro keyboard freezing up? Never had that happen with my SR MBP..
- Iwantawii, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3To extend my comment I've been having the same problems as the rest of you guys. I've also had about a 15% success rate for connection to an airport disk, which renders my shared iTunes and iPhoto libraries pretty much useless for my 2 connected macs (MBP C2D and PB G4). Thing is, when it works: it works GREAT. When it doesn't work: it doesn't work. I had a more reliable connection in Tiger, so I'm hoping a Leopard update + AEBS firmware update will make things magic.
- Doughboy, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3While not exactly Win+E, if the Finder has the focus (if not a simple click on the desktop will do), you can then press Command-N to open a new finder window.
Command-K also opens a connection to a remote server. - TheNik, on 11/08/2007, -1/+4Really? It seems to be picking up networks much better than Tiger did. To each his own, I guess!
- aussieNickuss, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2Ah yes, I didn't mention that you also have to select the wireless menu everytime it wakes from sleep, which on a laptop, can be frequently. I haven't experienced the keyboard and mouse dropping out though?
- drlha, on 11/08/2007, -2/+4I'm having none of those problems on the 3 Macs I installed Leopard on, in fact Leopard cured my Mac mini's issues where the wireless connection kept dropping, now its been up for 48 hours which has never happened before. Horses for courses I guess.
I don't think it was "rushed to retail", the issue is that because Apple don't do public beta testing, they will never catch all the minor bugs in the same way that 2+ million installs can. Perhaps they should reconsider that in future. - Micrll, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2Ah Great! It fixes "To-Do Notes" which were broken for me in mail.app. They had a unhandeled exception that was being thrown and not properly handled.
Had to clear out the todo's in iCal to regain access to my mailboxes. - arry3030, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2I'm using TIger on a WPA secured network and I'm constantly being kicked off. It happens to everyone with a macbook. The school blames Apple, and Apple doesn't seen to care. It's a major problem at my university. Anyone know any fixes?
- norcalscan, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2They're working on it according to my Apple account rep at work. (He knew nothing about the macbook update, which almost kicked my butt shoving 10.5 down my throat when I'm not ready for it, but apparently he definitely knows that apple is working on this)
- SuperSunny, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2AQUA HAS BASICALLY BEEN DITCHED, it's more metal now
- PathDaemon, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2Leopard cracks even more ***** on our school's 802.1x. If you sleep while connected, you lose the internal keyboard, mouse, etc. on wake!
- Skeuomorph, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1If you know the machine's name, you can get to it via smb://name/share. And it's not just SMB, it's AFP too. Direct links to shares work, but the server itself (even if seen) denies connection. OTOH, once connected with the direct link, for me it's performing better.
- daGUY, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Notes are broken for me also - I can't edit them once I create them, and they don't save after I quit and relaunch Mail. Here's hoping this update will fix it - I'd love to use them if I could!
- ilgaz, on 11/10/2007, -0/+1http://bugreporter.apple.com
Apple doesn't sit and read every anonymous digg comment to find bugs or issues you know? - smackit, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Airport Disk time machine is enabled on my leopard. Im using it right now. Just brought leopard yesterday mind, so maybe its just coming
- barl0w, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Thanks!
- KyjL, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Stop all the codin'........
- longofest, on 11/08/2007, -7/+8@Iwantawii - in my experience, airport has been much more solid in Leopard than Tiger on my MacBook. I no longer constantly loose my connection when I'm on a WPA-secured network.
- ungamedplayer, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Used to have this when connected to a cisco network, no longer a problem in leopard.
- Kinneas12, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1A man chooses, a slave obeys.
- bblades, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1I have given up on airport/Time Machine backup. It would just be so slow, try mounting a disk image over wifi... its a hair pulling experience. I have decided to just get two external harddrives, one for each of my Macs. It will just run more efficiently that better
- streak, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Just click on the Finder icon in the Dock to open a new Finder window, if one isn't already open. This works even if Finder isn't frontmost.
For a complete, keyboard-only solution, use Command-Tab to bring Finder forward, then type Command-N to open a new window (if needed). - tuxracer, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1I hope they fix the catastrophic problems with Leopard's X11. In addition to the fact that X11 windows use the old Tiger theme.
- HerrEisenheim, on 11/08/2007, -1/+1Why? Do you have any idea how slow it would be? Even 802.11n only pulls in around 100Mbps average. It was a bad idea from the beginning.
- mtennes, on 11/14/2007, -0/+0Ditto, my MacBook Pro is locking up every day.
- jocamero, on 11/08/2007, -4/+4And never will. Upgrade already.
- WinGeek, on 10/15/2008, -3/+3I should have waited for Leopard SP1 before upgrading.

Read and enjoy. - shadowblade989, on 11/08/2007, -3/+2Lion or Cheetah?
- gforce811, on 11/08/2007, -3/+1Dear Apple,
I've only got a couple of comments. Fix Mail, it hasn't worked for me for at least 3 days now. I really liked the calendar and email integration, and spitting a ToDo unhandled exception is not helping.
Sarafi doesn't like flash, neither does my campus online service. Did you really need to change Safari that much?
Thanks,
guhforce - leonwehttam, on 11/08/2007, -4/+2Please fix Airport kthx!
- Nameless1, on 11/13/2007, -5/+1Are they gonna make us pay for this minor upgrade as well?
- Fairly, on 11/08/2007, -6/+1Fixes? For what? Apple products are perfect!
