- audiodude34, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Well seeing as Apple has its own category, and this is news about Apple....it seems fine to me
- tomis, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Ok I'm a total Mac-head, and the new iMovie looks kick-ass, but seriously, an article about iLife 08 was enough. An article about the "special event" was enough. We don't need an article for every app and machine apple updated yesterday. Sheesh.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7we need to transfer rss feed with software updates from applecom directly to digg frontpage just to save efforts
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3wouldn't mind normally but this is Jizzmodo blogspam, its not even ***** news. Should have been covered in yesterdays post dealing with the whole event
- ThinkBox, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2how about this news came out 19 hours ago... and it just hit the front page... this is *****
- ThinkBox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3NEXT thing you know, there will be a new digg headline for EVERY ***** FEATURE on all new apple products (like with the iPhone)
Seriously, STOP DIGGING NEWS THAT IS 19 HOURS OLD! - Hubukai, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3yes! i can now use mt Sony HD SR7 on the mac in stead of the PC. Thanks Steve!
- Spuy767, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I've never thought that iMovie was as great of a Movie Editor as Garage Band was an Audio Editor. Then again, I could give a hoot about either as I use FCP and Logic. But for amateurs, either one is about as high up as you can get on the sub $100.00 software ladder. (Free with a new Mac)
- chroko, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I'm not surprised about the Firewire requirement - on my Mac, Firewire drives are 50% faster than USB. Although this is the problem for me:
- iMovie '08 requires an Intel or G5 Mac.
It won't work on G4 machines, even though '08 actually has *less* functionality than iMovieHD 6 (which ran just great on a G4). I guess it's only a matter of time before Apple drops support for PowerPC and forces everyone to upgrade to Intel machines. - wellyuk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Why is imovie being singled out from ilife? surely a review/posting or whatever about the entire package would be more useful. Stop digging everything last thing about Apple, damnit! You're making the rest of us Apple users look like *****.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Gizmodo should be banned from digg, I'm sure they just get every employee to digg every pissing article
- krekc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I just bought the HDRSR8 and I have a macbook pro so Im trusting in what you say! It comes in today! w00t!
- mercurysquad, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Doesn't seem fine to me.
- cromulent, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0It's nice in many ways, but there are some fairly large negatives.
- Movies need to be stored on an internal drive or FW external. USB drives can't be used to store clips or projects.
- There's no audio timeline.
- Video effects are gone. A large feature from the previous version was removed in an upgrade. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -11/+6So what? What are you doing to do, post every paragraph from the Apple Web site as a separate article on Digg?
ENOUGH.
