I think that befoer you release the next update or next line of products, you should simply get it right the first time! I have downloaded itunes more than I'd like to think about, and it's truly a pain in the ass. I could understand if itunes was making a major modification, but sadly, I can not spare $600 for a shiny new iPhone.
I bought the 60g video ipod about 3 months after it was released thinking, "Yea, this shouldn't be out of date too soon." Then about 2 months later the 80g ipod comes out! I'm simply fed up with the changes. I can't find myself investing in any new apple products simply because the price and pace is too fast.
And if anyone knocks me for that, just loan me the cash, and I'll get the new iphone or imac.
