- Greer70, on 10/14/2007, -32/+11Beh - Creative Zens are better anyway. Apple just has better PR.
- Cwo655321, on 10/14/2007, -6/+3zens are much better (been around for much longer too). but since this is digg, its somehow microsofts fault.
- MrSteamTank, on 10/15/2007, -8/+3Ipods are so amazing their is absolutely no way any other product can compete with them. The fact that you think something can be better than what Apple makes shows how detached you are from reality. Buried.
- HaloZero, on 10/14/2007, -0/+4Wtf are you talking about. Yes I agree that ipods click wheel is pretty good. Other mp3 players have good controls as well, SanDisk does pretty well. Zen used to be pretty good until they tried to copy that touch sensitive pad by Apple
- XXXXXXXXXXXXXX, on 10/15/2007, -2/+3I like how Apple fanboys just bury this without saying why the Zen sucks.
- BlueStarr, on 10/15/2007, -22/+20A small percentage of iPods suffer some technical problems....big f**king deal. The trolls chime in with the typical ***** like the person above me (Greer)......let me give you a little clue as to why the iPod kicked the living ***** out of everyone in this field....It's the software stupid! Hardware is awesome but the software puts it all together.
- mikesbaker, on 10/19/2007, -12/+17no its slick marketing with at least a 40% mark up over similar consumer goods - apple products are for people easily swayed by what they see on the TV. and iTunes is a piece of crap
- Bartboy919, on 10/19/2007, -15/+13"My name is BlueStarr, and I am an Apple apologist."
- Lemon, on 10/15/2007, -0/+1Yep, on windows iTunes is a bloody pig. It runs very nice on mac though. Seriously, it's not the software. It's the hardware... oh and the ads.
- HappyScrappy, on 10/15/2007, -8/+27Classic article.
"There's a bug in a device and it affects me therefore the world is ending."
Complete lack of perspective.- over90000, on 10/15/2007, -2/+8You really think this bug affects only him?
- HappyScrappy, on 10/15/2007, -0/+1No, he points to a dozen other people who have the problem.
He still is showing a lack of perspective. Many people don't encounter this bug and are very happy with the device. Thus his statement that "it is time to own up that the device is broken" is wrong. For most people, it's no problem at all.

- JohnnyKdiggs, on 10/15/2007, -5/+24You know what else stops music from playing? Not having music at all, since Apple tailored it to not work with Linux.
Apple's new slogan: "Think Different, do exactly what we tell you."- Ibox, on 10/15/2007, -4/+2 This comment intentionally left blank
- fasteddie203, on 10/15/2007, -1/+4Give it a rest. No one cares what OS you use, this has nothing to do with the discussion. I'm so tired of the tangents you Linux zealots bring up so you can whine about what your bastard stepchild OS can or can't do.

- tw0bit, on 10/14/2007, -5/+6this article is bull...my new ipod works perfectly and its interface is better then the older video i had
- kidcodea, on 10/14/2007, -5/+3can in the year 2007, ipods connect to usb2.0 and be used as media storage device in windows?
- jamesburton1, on 10/15/2007, -9/+4People still use Windows in 2007?
Wow. - Ocelot13, on 10/14/2007, -3/+1um....i could do that on my old 4th gen ipod.
- xike, on 10/14/2007, -1/+2I think you're missing a comma. As it's written, it's confusing.
- AndrewWiggin, on 10/14/2007, -1/+2Yes. Is that a joke, or ignorant sarcasm?
- jamesburton1, on 10/15/2007, -9/+4People still use Windows in 2007?
- Goodbyeworld, on 10/14/2007, -2/+7"the iPod has officially lost its infallible grace"
noone ever said the iPod was infallible, but it is better than anything else in the market.- bingobongony, on 10/14/2007, -0/+0It hasn't been the best thing on the market in years.
- quomen, on 10/14/2007, -3/+1It's sad.. I bought a Nano just because it has the Nike+ function. Other than that I wouldve held out for one of the new Zunes. I have an issue that REALLY bugs me when using my ipod. Is there a way to see ALL of your songs in a long list, but sorted by artist? You could do that in my sony MP3 player of 6 years ago and yet I don't see a way you could do it in the ipod. You can show all of the artists in a list, yes, but when u got to all songs, it sorts them in album or whatnot.
- childermass, on 10/14/2007, -0/+2Not certain about the new iPods, but on all the old ones I've had, you could and on my iPhone you can. Just click on the artist and it should be the first option above the albums. Again, unsure about the new iPods with their new interface but it was on the old versions and it's on the current iPhone.
- drgreenberg, on 10/14/2007, -0/+0Just make a smart playlist that includes everything, sort as you like and "copy to sort order" by right-clicking on the playlist and selecting this option. Then, drag or sync this playlist to your iPod and view this playlist to see all the songs in your chosen sort order.
- AndrewWiggin, on 10/14/2007, -2/+2I hadn't heard of any iPod problems before opening this article. Given the title, I expected that there would some notable problems with the new iPods. But come on, "iPods Broken"?
- GeekyGerge, on 10/14/2007, -0/+1I can't view pictures on enhanced feeds in full screen on my new iPod nano, anyone else having the same problem?
- tehrob, on 10/14/2007, -0/+1Try looking at the same podcast as under albums.

- sirbeta, on 10/14/2007, -2/+3Cue Apple Fanboy Brigade to save the day.
- fasteddie203, on 10/14/2007, -0/+1I picked up an iPod classic the other day and while I can see some of the new graphical enhancements to the GUI might be more CPU intensive, the wheel is a lot slower in the text menus. There's already been one firmware update, but the wheel is just godawful slow and unresponsive, like it fails to track for a split second every now and then. Anyone else notice this?
- bingobongony, on 10/14/2007, -1/+0Hey assholes! This is Apple! They are not problems...they are FEATURES!
- halfbrick, on 10/15/2007, -0/+1WTF happened to the story? Did giz remove it? It's on the RSS feed (in my google reader at least)
Maybe there was pressure from apple?
