Apple only allows OS X on their own products, so they control the price and the price of their computers is ridiculous! Apple is worried that if they license OS X to other manufactures, they will lower the price and be forced to compete with Apple.- bulentm, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2Fair competition is Psystar making their own OS or licensing it legitimately, not ripping off another company's OS and making a profit off of it. So what if Apple doesn't want to license Mac OS? It's their product, they made it, and they'll do whatever they want with it. If someone wants to compete with Mac OS, they can make their own OS. That's fair competition.
- Terrk, on 07/16/2008, -2/+1Right, since apple has NEVER ripped of anything. EVER.

- Terrk, on 07/16/2008, -1/+1Why would the almighty, wonderful Apple do such a thing?
/s - krustaceo, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2Psystar ripped off Apple, do not try to pin this on the big guy here. Apple clearly states that OS X is not to be licensed by other companies. I mean, come on...
I love the idea of OS X on hardware other than Apple“s, but that is simply not permited at this stage.
Maybe this is actually a good thing because it points out that, if Apple were to grow their market share, we could start thinking about a monopoly. I am sure that then they would be forced to license OS X. But, right now, all we have is a really good OS that runs on a specific set of hardware options provided solely by Apple. Psystar did this at their own peril, and now they will pay the consequences... - likwidtek, on 07/17/2008, -0/+1ouch dude. What's going to force people to send theirs back if they don't wanna?
