    The iPhone is the most useful phone Ive ever owned. Easy to use, so yeah people do use more apps than on any other phone platform.

  • nipterink, on 04/11/2009, -1/+6you do realize you can't make people pay to enter a contest, which is why all of them offer a way to get a free entry. apple supplies a link right on that page giving you up to 25 entries a day. no one is forcing you to buy anything.

It said the contest would stop at that point, and a winner would be chosen at random from the entries up until that point. Can they even legally change the rules after the contest begins? I'm going to see if i have a copy of it in my cache or something to compare the wording.

EVERYONE who downloads an app between now and the 1 billionth download gets an entry. In addition, anyone can enter just by filling out a form on the web site, without downloading anything. Then, after they hit 1,000,000,000, they choose one of the entries at random.

    As it reads number in number 5:

    5. Sweepstakes. Sponsor is the sole judging organization whose decisions as to the operation of the Sweepstakes and the selection of the potential winner are final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion. The prize will be awarded for the entry (either through an app download or through the non-purchase online entry) sent immediately following the download of the 999,999,999th app. The potential winner will be determined by the order of the entries received. In the event that more than one entrant would be a winner based on the simultaneous timing of entries, one entrant will be randomly selected from those entrants as the winner. Each entrant’s chances of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received.

I think the both of you are mentally retarded if you think those i(diot)Phone apps are useful. Why do i need a million specialized apps for stupid ***** that can be done with them? If you can show me ONE truly useful "app" that i cant do with a basic windows mobile 6 device i will be truly amazed. At the end of the day, you are both tools that buy into the Church of Apple marketing.   • macplenty, on 04/12/2009, -0/+1You also need to take into account the 13+ million iPod Touches that have been sold and can access the app store. Granted Touch users cannot take advantage of all of the apps but a fair amount of them are available.
