No it ***** doesn't. A better summary would have been:
"2-inch screen with QVGA resolution (highest pixel density the company has ever shipped), comes bundled with three games, improved battery life: 24 hours of audio, or 5 hours of video. 4GB model: $149, 8GB: $199"
See how that works? That's what the summary field is for. Summarizing the article. - mynameisdave02, on 10/10/2007, -11/+230"Titles says it all."
Die in a fire. - mi6bomb, on 10/10/2007, -3/+123Hmmm... Funny that they didn't demo the video feature with The Office this time. Oh wait...
- JD52, on 10/10/2007, -4/+106Come on... ask the ladies..... they much prefer girth to length.
- Rossoneri22, on 10/10/2007, -18/+92Wow, that's actually really lame.
- Henko, on 10/10/2007, -8/+63Good news I suppose, but I hope we're not restricted to using cover flow. Man I hate cover flow, since most of my albums don't have cover art.
- willizm, on 10/10/2007, -14/+64Wow that thing is ugly. First time i thought an apple product was ugly in a few years. The newton v2.
- shaka776, on 10/10/2007, -2/+51When they discuss the iPod touch, I love how they say, "When you get near a Starbucks a fifth button will come up..."
So, then it pretty much will always stay on ? - RareAir23, on 10/10/2007, -2/+38Introducing the "iPod Chode"
- PaulGriffin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+36I sure hope the entire front page of Digg gets filled with "Apple Announces new..."
- natedouglas, on 10/10/2007, -0/+24I'm sure you won't be restricted to it. That'd be a huge blunder, and they're (hopefully) not anywhere near that stupid.
The one device that really SHOULD have Coverflow, the Apple TV, doesn't... a source of unending frustration to me. I'm an Apple Fanboy and all, but even I think they tend to do 90% of a great thing and royally ***** up the other 10%... - lostradamus, on 10/10/2007, -4/+24Phat chicks need love too.
- MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20Please don't buy one and save up for a dictionary instead. Then work on being topical and having a personality. Let us know how that works out.
- natedouglas, on 10/10/2007, -5/+23Neat. Vortex: a game that rips off Arkanoid, which ripped off Breakout, which ripped off Palm and was created (to a certain extent) by Steve Wozniak and (to a certain degree) a ripoff of Pong.
- BossKey, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18Buy on the hype, sell on the news...the market has always worked that way, for any company, throughout history.
Situation normal. - okrayski, on 10/10/2007, -3/+20This may sound stupid, but couldn't Apple have stuck with the tall, thin model and have a a tall, thin screen that you could rotate 90 degrees (making it become a widescreen) when you want to watch a movie?
- Jvskill, on 10/10/2007, -5/+21See now there's the problem there, most Digg users don't know what ladies are.....
But thanks to all of these "Top 10 Sex Tips!" articles they at least know what to do.....right? - SkippyDoorknob, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17Nope, styrofoam.
- Frozo, on 10/10/2007, -3/+17They only "suck money" from people who like the product. So go crawl back under your bridge, troll. You don't have to buy one... you just can let the sound of your bitter monologue keep you entertained.
- cvrti5, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15It's not fat, it's BIG BONED!
- Desolite, on 10/10/2007, -8/+20if by cute, you actually mean ugly, then yes you are correct.
- orca94, on 10/10/2007, -16/+28Although the new Ipod (regular, I suppose) is pretty nice, this new Ipod nano is mighty fugly.
- cinnix, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11"most of my albums don't have cover art"
Read this article http://macapper.com/2007/09/01/tutorial-album-art-for-itunes/
To summarize, you can use an applescript to group up all your artless tracks to a playlist. You then export that playlist to text and upload it to http://art4itunes.com/ and with luck most of the album covers will load up on the next page. You then simply drag the art over to iTunes and scratch that track off the playlist.
Sorry if I'm sounding patronizing but I found the article helpful as I'm relatively new to Mac and OS x - kent1146, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11They just gotta pay
- haveacigar, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14hmmm apple stocks have dropped since they announced it... http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/charts/chartdl.aspx?D5=0&D4=1&ViewType=0&CE=0&ShowChtBt=Refresh+Chart&D3=0&Symbol=AAPL&DateRangeForm=1&C9=0&DisplayForm=1&ComparisonsForm=1&CP=0&PT=0
- dimplemonkey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I honestly don't believe Jonathan Ive approved the design of the fatty but Steve probably said "too many people are complaining about no video on the nanos, so let's just give them what they want, design be damned!" The rest will be posted at folklore.com!
- badken, on 10/10/2007, -4/+14Buried for "title says it all"
- Shuk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9So the mock-ups were true... but I was kinda hoping for a 30 gig iPod that looked just like a Nano (screw the video aspect). Oh well, maybe technology isn't there just yet.
- GreenAlien, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Why is everyone saying this is ugly? It's as clean a design as any other iPod. Though I'm mighty suprised it has a split screen. Never in a millon years thought the rumours about that part would be true (This part lacks Apple's clean design).
- whatsgoodike, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11The price isn't as bad as i thought it would be.
- natedouglas, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Welcome to capitalism, where people try to make nice things to give to you so that you'll give them money. It's the basis of much of modern technology.
- bobartig, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8So if I digg you up, but digg the article down, does that maintain cosmic balance? So conflicted!
- CYR1X, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Nano Fatty? Oxymoron?
- evelian, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Yeah, when it comes down to it, I'd rather let all those people die of AIDS than be seen with a fuchsia iPod.
- coldfusion1970, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Well people were buying Apple videos by the bucket-load and that has the same size screen. Idiot.
- dudefaceguyman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Before I start on Nat, I'm typing this on a black Macbook which I love, I have an ipod nano, and getting the new Nano video when it releases so I can watch Diggnation and reformat all the other videos I have on my computer for it, gonna kickass! So yeah, I'm not a Mac hater.)
Apple TV is the biggest freagin waste of money. Xbox 360 costs 50 dollars more and is a BETTER media center for your TV. Especially if you have Vista as well. Which I do on my desktop PC, I stream media content to my 360 just like the apple TV does yet on the Xbox 360 marketplace they allow you to rent straight from your TV normal AND Hi-Def MOVIES!
WTF is with Hi-Def output on Apple TV when iTunes can't even do full dvd quality?!
Tack on 50 bucks to your little piggy bank and your little media center becomes the most amazing gaming experience as well. At least in my opinion. (I own a Wii and friend has PS3) If you're an old fart, there's the arcade section and you can get your old school gaming on, though I highly recommend trying the new fancy games. hehe
I mean it's pathetic. It's a better media center then Apple TV and it was never designed to be JUST A MEDIA CENTER!!!! Apple TV should be no more then 149.99! Not freakin' 299.99! Apple really ***** up there. Even Apple Fanboys say it's a waste and to at least save up and get a Mac Mini for a much better media center. Apple TV shall die.
/end Apple TV rant - rebotfc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8block the section you ***** moron
- Dafreakzo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7It is an over sized Chicklet.
- djSyndrome, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Bad news, buddy: you're about to get dumped.
- 3rnesto, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6You said it first you win.
- rodted2, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9Lil' Johnny prefers skinny girls but he never passes up a fatty.
- orca94, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7The form factor just looks off, it's not as pleasing to the eye as the slender Ipod.
- MacEnvy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Whore.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Seems to be the case!
Am I the only one seeing a bit of a slowdown on digg right now? Is digg actually straining under the weight of Apple stories? - KnightWhoSaysNi, on 10/10/2007, -5/+10Yes, yhat's a ***** ugly iPod.
- MrSunshine, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6For once I hope so.
- manitoba98xp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5When you block the section, it doesn't appear on the front page for you.
- GreenAlien, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6You mean the dumbass that submitted this article should of used a useful title and summary, rather than useless baby drivel? Where's the fun in that....
- slipjack, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8Initial reactions will be negative because it's different, but I am guessing many will appreciate the new Nano when they get to play with it.
- DaMacGamer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5My favorite part is what Steve says while demoing a ringtones: "this one plays when NBC comes calling".
Feel the pain NBC! -
