- opticwind, on 08/27/2009, -1/+9I don't understand...who would want a phone that lets you talk to people?
- mohrt, on 08/27/2009, -2/+7why? if you saw this on a shelf for 20 you'd think it must be crap for 20 bucks. iphone apps need to get out of this $1 price tag stigma!
- Hidemons, on 08/27/2009, -1/+5Pretty cool huh?!
- JazzFlight, on 08/27/2009, -2/+5Woah, $20 app. No thanks, maybe if it was 5 at the max.
EDIT: Upon watching the end of the video with the pdf export feature, I can definitely see some great on-the-job application of this if you have an iPhone (not iPod touch). Using the camera to take quick shots and then map them to zooms/pans/etc... is pretty handy. Still would be better if it was on-sale. - BenRT, on 08/27/2009, -0/+3This app is to generate animatics, not actual films.
- meloon, on 08/26/2009, -5/+7I'm wondering if we're ever gonna see one of these short films on the big screen one day. Who knows, maybe some guy will be the first one in the box-office to make a great movie on his iPhone.
- BenRT, on 08/27/2009, -0/+2Why are people so cheap? It's only $20. I'd gladly pay $40 for this app if it improves my workflow.
- JohnnyDIGGme, on 08/27/2009, -2/+3No normal iPhone user types with ONE FINGER.
I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming he's only doing this for the sake of the video.
I use the original vertical keyboard layout, and can type pretty quick, its awesome for writing emails when you're not at your laptop. (IE Sitting in a golfcart) - Parrappa, on 08/27/2009, -0/+1Baby you know your money.
- endurablegoods, on 08/27/2009, -0/+1I'm a filmmaker - and work at a film school - and can totally see how this could be handy. Don't get all confused and think it's going to do big-time video and serious graphics. It doesn't need to. It simply takes photos and allows for basic manipulation. But at that point of a scene, that is all you really need.
Previsualization help immensely and this app provides a slick, easy way to get your visual thoughts down in a way that makes sense for filmmakers. A quick read --> http://bit.ly/GSfTB - henryvaughan, on 08/27/2009, -0/+1Great app, apparently it costs 20$ or £11.99. so ill give it a miss...
but on the plus side the pc/mac equivalent costs alot more e.g. storyboard pro. - rootlake, on 08/27/2009, -1/+2I type in horizontal mode, but I use both thumbs, not one finger. It works fine, very fast. I agree, watching him type was a little infuriating.
- Dotseoem, on 08/27/2009, -5/+6ZZzzzzzzzzzz! Huh?
- nhansen, on 08/27/2009, -0/+1Happy to see this finally come to market. I saw a demo many months back - and it's been all quiet on the western front since. If you shoot every day, or even a couple times a week, this is a very handy app.
- ooMARLAoo, on 08/27/2009, -1/+1the chewbacca growl was the highlight.
- inactive, on 08/27/2009, -1/+1I think hollywood has had this for years, but it also has clippy to help write the same boring lines on every show
- dstruktNine, on 08/27/2009, -1/+1tl:dw
- cheddaro, on 08/27/2009, -3/+2Pretty excruciating watching him type on that thing. Doesn't it drive you ***** mad writing an email? Or do people not write emails on the iphone?
- MrBenC, on 08/27/2009, -3/+1you're a broadcast major huh? do you think you are special? you're persuing a degree that doesn't mean *****. the windows on my car need to be cleaned, and no, you will not be getting a tip.
this app sucks, the iphone sucks, and this article sucks.
ergo, you also suck, mr. broadcaster. and nobody wants to watch any crappy show you could possibly come up with on this thing. hell, no one even wants to watch shows anymore so just go ahead and quit life. - Tddupre, on 08/27/2009, -6/+1Installo.us FTW
- uncoolcentral, on 08/27/2009, -7/+1anything's that helps improve my storyboarding is welcome.
hard not to do better than the last storyboard I did.
