- jggube, on 01/06/2009, -0/+7Isn't it gonna be weird without Steve Jobs there?
- SemiSarcastic, on 01/06/2009, -0/+7Does Steve Jobs really have to be there to talk about the products? If the product is good, it will sell itself, it doesn't need an executive/celebrity to back it.
- SemiSarcastic, on 01/06/2009, -1/+4Yeah, I don't buy the products because they're good I buy them because Steve talks about them.
- BryanG831, on 01/06/2009, -1/+3I hope there are Steve Jobs quotes. "boom"
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2UH OH NERD SMACK TALK
- TheAssuager, on 01/06/2009, -0/+2yes. But then again, it might be good for Apple. I have no clue what I meant by that.
- D14852001neko, on 01/06/2009, -0/+1Uh oh! Someone's jealous? LOL
- rda1441, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1It sucked...not because there was no Steve....but because the product line was WEAK!
Nothing very innovative. Hopefully they are holding out for their own announcements, but was very much hoping to see something more than some software updates and a minor laptop refresh. - syntaxgs, on 01/06/2009, -0/+1This is A Good Article,,,
- axelss, on 01/06/2009, -0/+1This is going to be the last Macworld Expo. Not just bye Steve Jobs but bye Expo
- BrendanSheehan, on 01/06/2009, -0/+1It's not weird when you already know about the fact for weeks.
- BrendanSheehan, on 01/06/2009, -0/+1And yet I don't detect sarcasm?
- CaptainJapan, on 01/06/2009, -0/+0canartist seems like such a nice, happy person.
- kentifer, on 01/06/2009, -2/+2CNET, CNET, CNET!
- cjolley, on 01/06/2009, -1/+1Macworld was a fun little expo and conference for mac users during the early 90s before Steve jobs and it can go back to being one, without the breathless marketing Gizmodo/Engadget/CNet circle jerk that it has become.
The fact is that these large press-driven events are out of date now and not very rewarding for Apple so why should they bother? The Apple faithful will still buy their expensive toys and evangelize to their friends, and the best part of this conference has always been the user sessions and booth deals anyways.
End of an era in a good way. - YuriSakazaki, on 01/06/2009, -1/+1100% agreed
- inactive, on 01/06/2009, -2/+1The highlight of Macworld has always been the keynote speech of Steve Jobs, without it, there's really nothing major to look forward too.
- tonynf89, on 01/06/2009, -2/+0Well, with the new Macbook Wheel, I'm sure it will be a success.
- i4mt3hwin, on 01/06/2009, -3/+1Least he doesn't have a pocket full of seashells.
- inactive, on 01/06/2009, -6/+1It's funny Microsoft doesn't need Bill Gates to go on stage and prance around like a dancing salesman every 6 months. I think this is Apple's attempt at staying classy for once. Geez who in their right mind, would ever buy an Apple!?
