- kalagmail, on 11/11/2008, -9/+55Or a Linux. There have been plenty of tips in digg itself on making linux looklike mac. and linux is free.
- comradeTJH, on 11/12/2008, -7/+45Why would you want to do that?
- FarSide792, on 11/11/2008, -35/+66Hmm....heres a thought....just buy a mac?
- majikphat, on 11/12/2008, -2/+27pass.
- kanojo1969, on 11/12/2008, -10/+33I want my PC to look like a mac the same way I want my wife to look like hulk hogan.
- Kelmon, on 11/12/2008, -1/+13That's not what the emails I keep getting say.
- Murdats, on 11/12/2008, -21/+33because you may like some aspects of the interface but actually want a computer.
- hafniOum, on 11/11/2008, -2/+14Did the submitter noticed that this have already been submitted.
- blackmesa, on 11/12/2008, -6/+16Worst of both worlds, hooray.
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -4/+138.) Brag about it like it like it whooped Kobe in hoops, fixed you breakfast, and hooked you up with Scarlett Johansson.
- cyberoptic, on 11/12/2008, -3/+119. Travel back to the early 90's and ask if there's any other words you can use.
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+8Will a PC run Crysis?
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -1/+9Ah, no, sorry.
It's a fancy schmancy computer but it's not a "community" any more than, say, Nike is. - cyrix, on 11/12/2008, -3/+11Meh, I have a macbook and a windows desktop dual booting ubuntu and xp... I use a dock program on my windows machine and changed the look of ubuntu as well. I've also fiddled with how my mac looks.
Basically...use what you want and make it look how you want. It shouldn't matter to anyone but you. - AzzX, on 11/12/2008, -3/+101 way to make your pc cost like a mac would be to staple the spare $2000 over your desktop and then play some Abba.
- Murdats, on 11/12/2008, -2/+9because it is not easy to change the mac os theme, and if you want then
http://www.macthemes.net/articles/reviews/000116.p ... - nakedcellist, on 11/12/2008, -0/+7Guess this is the new generation of rice boys.
- Chrysalii, on 11/12/2008, -1/+8and paint everything a glossy white.
- ATLien74, on 11/12/2008, -0/+7I love these articles. They really serve no purpose other than to bait a Mac vs. PC flame war.
That being said....
Step 1. Acquire Shotgun
Step 2. Load and Aim shotgun at PC
Step 3. Fire Shotgun
Step 4. Empty Savings Account
Step 5. Acquire Mac - enjourni, on 11/12/2008, -0/+7And... the killer, easy to use apps
And... no viruses
And... easy install/uninstall, no app corruption
And... the fact that you can multiboot Mac/Windows/Linux
Lol honestly, have you ever even used a mac? - docbaily, on 11/12/2008, -3/+10The easiest way to get your PC to look like OSX is to download Kalyway and then just install.... oh wait.
- kronix2, on 11/12/2008, -1/+8"being part of a community."
You mean, you like feeling like you're part of an exclusive community. The Windows community is an order of magnitude bigger than the Mac community when you factor in enterprise. - ethana2, on 11/12/2008, -1/+8The Ubuntu community is better than the mac community. The close connection between the end users and developers gives us more flexibility than you will ever have, and Apple still hasn't grown the ****s it's going to need to support normal hardware.
Ubuntu 8.10 is quite superior to Mac OS 10.5.4 - inactive, on 11/12/2008, -1/+8Why the ***** would anyone want to do this?
Surely if it's that important you'd have a mac? - Elranzer, on 11/12/2008, -2/+9"Just get a mac and stop being a wannabe."
Oh, the irony. - FreckleEars, on 11/12/2008, -0/+6Agreed! When I read the title I thought this was going to be mods to computer's to make them look like macbook's etc.
- Elranzer, on 11/12/2008, -1/+7and limit your color schemes to Blue and Graphite
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+6They even added a '2' to the title
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -1/+7and file off the corners.
- enjourni, on 11/12/2008, -4/+10Step 1: Throw PC in the trash.
Step 2: Buy a Mac.
Step 3: Turn it on.
Step 4 (optional): Buy Parallels for all those stupid PC apps you can't give up, you lamer. - 2Deluxe, on 11/12/2008, -1/+7yes, do try them.
- drgmdp, on 11/12/2008, -1/+7superior smugness
- sfacets, on 11/12/2008, -2/+7I agree with everything you said, except the community part. Other Mac users can die.
- Natnie, on 11/12/2008, -2/+7I didn't know you could hear thoughts.
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+5Wow that's completely pointless
- AzzX, on 11/12/2008, -1/+6LOL
- Heiminator, on 11/12/2008, -0/+5why would i want that?i like how my pc looks like a pc
- foxontherock, on 11/12/2008, -6/+11will a mac run crysis ?
- Chrysalii, on 11/12/2008, -2/+7You know, the People's Temple was a community too.
Drinking that Apple flavor-aid much? - shibagarden, on 11/12/2008, -0/+4Well it didn't check your spelling. What else works on it?
- wastern, on 11/12/2008, -0/+4@BlackCow
"doesn't support a lot of software I need"...? if thats the case, why are you using it? Does sex appeal trump the need for the software you actually need to use? - enjourni, on 11/12/2008, -0/+4Yes it will, with Bootcamp or Parallels. I run the PC version of starcraft bc it's faster then the mac version.
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+4Well I for one do understand the attraction and furthermore I happen to understand that it's ***** retarded.
- SquareWheel, on 11/12/2008, -3/+7@dolbinau: You a troll? You smell like a troll...
- Urkel, on 11/12/2008, -3/+7I hate when people yell out "buy a Mac" with no thought of what's best for the customer. As Mac users then we can understand and justify the premium, but for regular people then they'd be using the Mac for the exact same tasks that they do on their much cheaper PC. So as much as some people act like buying a Mac is the solution for everything, Mac's simply aren't for everyone.
- Aitese, on 11/12/2008, -0/+4Or, use tools like Samurize, Rainlender, and Emerge Desktop and do something totally original that suits your own work flow instead.
- estee0703, on 11/12/2008, -0/+4why would you want to?
- enjourni, on 11/12/2008, -0/+4The story of digg.
