- durangotang, on 10/11/2007, -33/+147WOW! The child is cute and obviously smart. This really is the highest praise you could give Apple for designing a brilliant human interface. It is simple and aesthetic, yet powerful.
This would make a brilliant commercial. So easy, a two year old can do it. - Niddik, on 10/11/2007, -6/+107First, they learn to walk. Then, they learn to use iPhones? We must stop the baby invasion before it grows worse!
"I, for one, welcome our new--" "Shut up." - Disease, on 10/11/2007, -3/+89When I was two I was working in railroad construction for 10 hours a day. Where's my youtube video?
- chancesarent, on 10/11/2007, -1/+80I hear it's gotten so bad that someday they'll eventually REPLACE us!
- SmackMyMac, on 10/11/2007, -16/+94Can I be your daughter?
Does it matter that I'm a 24 year old guy?
Give me a dress as long as it comes with an 8 gb iPhone in the pocket. - lougoose, on 10/11/2007, -4/+76That two year old might be pretty offended...
- berb, on 10/11/2007, -14/+60My two year old sister knows how to open up Internet Explorer and click on the Nick Junior games bookmark.
By Digg logic, does that mean IE6 is a superior browser? - avatarpalin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+45Thats nothing!!! My two year old son managed to successfully put his toast into my DVD player... now that's technical..
- Teague, on 10/11/2007, -16/+55Two years old and she already has unforgivable taste in music. Jesus, whatever happened to songs about counting by twos, or nursery rhymes.
This will end well. - bluechips23, on 10/11/2007, -41/+74iPhone = $599
Coldplay from YouTube = $0
Watching your 2 year old baby learning to use an iPhone and hearing her laugh on listening to the music = PRICELESS! - Owinn, on 10/11/2007, -12/+42But will the child blend?
- psygnisfive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+28Jesus, man, all we need is commercials with 2 year olds seeing their condescending psychologists, and walking through airports listening to Royksopp.
- fungible, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25I guess her fingers are the right size for the keyboard.
- DaffyDuck, on 10/11/2007, -8/+30My father is the CFO of a large company. He sucks with technology though. Not knowing how to operate a VCR does not equate to stupidity. Some day, maybe you will understand this.
- vuke69, on 10/11/2007, -0/+22Don't breathe this... two year old dust...
- chicken101, on 10/11/2007, -6/+26all i have to say is.....awwwwwwwwwww
- adodaro, on 10/11/2007, -7/+26cool...but can a caveman do it?
- kevinshea, on 10/11/2007, -3/+21Are they still considered babies at 2?
- Colt4cm, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19What are the chances that this is Apple viral advertising?
- Jambi, on 10/11/2007, -5/+20Zombie cult? Calm down. Most of us use Apple stuff because we like the way it works. The people who rant about the greatness of Steve Jobs and how Apple can do no wrong are idiot fanboys. Every OS has them...they're a minority of users.
- JustMatt, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15so you caught on?
- jeffburg, on 10/11/2007, -2/+15a 2 year old can do anything if you sit there and show it to him/her step by step
- mrminty, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13Recycling a joke that's 5 years old? Priceless!
- rockchops, on 10/11/2007, -6/+18Yeah, next time do a little research maybe.
...I don't have much of an appetite anymore... - adamdigg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12Done, and done.
- pastasauce, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13You know, you shouldn't point with your middle finger.
- MavRevMatt, on 10/11/2007, -12/+22The Digg-iPhone Theory
Step 1, announcement, highest diggs ever.
Step 2, rumors, hype, full page of articles.
Step 3, release, non-stop coverage, no other news.
Step 4, post-release, stupid pointless crap, half the news -still-
Step 5, return to step 2. - esotericguy, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12quick! if you see anyone younger than you, SHOOT THEM!!!
- bludo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9The kid seemed more mature then the mom :)
- ma11man, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10She's got some serious dance moves.
- Netmonger, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11Totally! A 2 year old should NOT be listening to Coldplay! Heck - IMO, that's too young even for Wiggles..
- Ireland, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9If you mean is the iPhone going to be the next iPod. Eventually maybe, but we'll need a iPhone nano without a contract before that is likely.
- xenuxenuts, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13My son was using a linux computer at 2. He's had no issues using KDE, gnome or windows. Kids get things very quickly and they have no fear (which I why I put linux on the computer he uses).
- InstantRamen, on 10/11/2007, -8/+16Dugg down for using IE. teach your sister Firefox
- Carg0, on 10/11/2007, -9/+17
sorry, but this is hardly newsworthy. i don't care how cool the iphone is. it's grocery-newstand crap like this that'll eventually turn Digg into a Friendster / MySpace 'has been'.
Dugg down. - neuropsychguy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Yeah, I was going to say something similar. My daughter is 2 and can navigate through Windows decently well (she's been doing it since at least 20 months). She can open up iTunes and listen to music, she can open up Firefox and play around, she can open Excel or Word and "type letters" or emails in them (or type her name - she likes doing that and can actually spell it correctly). She can even do a click and drag with the mouse and navigate through Picasa to look at pictures or watch videos. Anyway, my point is that yeah, a lot of kids are pretty tech-savvy and this video shows that the phone is easy to use, not that the kid is particularly bright (which I'm sure she is but that's not what the video is about).
This video is cute and shows that the iPhone is easy to use though. - JuanCarlosII, on 10/11/2007, -5/+13excellent apple, get them while their young like the cigarette companies
- mbradbury, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10No, because Firefox, Opera and Safari all work the same way. Now trying to teach a 2 year old to open a song on youtube with my SE 750i is much harder than on the iPhone.
- meatmcguffin, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Would you prefer a hard to use phone? Would anyone?
- mcprogrammer, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9http://digg.com/apple/2_year_old_Baby_Anna_navigates_and_listens_to_Coldplay_on_an_iphone/who
- rspeed, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8*facepalm*
- cam2009, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10No one should be listening to Coldplay, Netmonger. No one.
- wilhoitm, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9Let's see her give instructions for a Blackberry! Get my point?
- Ireland, on 10/11/2007, -4/+10I think it's hilarious that you have to design an interface so an infant can use it before all the morons of the world feel able to use a cellphone."
Or maybe you should have said, imagine this thing is so well designed a 2 year old child can use it, unbelievable. How you found a negative way of looking at this is beyond me, but I guess you just are a glass-is-half-empty kind of person. - ez12a, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5they're considered terrible.
- yabos, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5It's good for a 2 year old because they like repetitive things played over and over.
- Awspire, on 10/11/2007, -5/+10Youth and technology go hand in hand. Now, show me an 80 year old doing the same, then I'll be truly impressed.
- InstantRamen, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8For everyone that is saying ( when i was 2 i was doing ) there is something called childhood amnesia
- Purin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5You're right.
Get her into some Meshuggah. - rspeed, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8No, the point is that VCRs have notoriously horrendous user interfaces. Not being able to operate one means that you lack either the experience or patience to decipher it.
