What are you complaining about exactly? If they were holier-than-thou they wouldn't be giving you FREE bandwidth to listen to music for free.
Drop your "everything should be handed to me on a golden platter" attitude. You make me sick. I hope whoever you work for decides tomorrow that they're no longer going to be paying you for your services because they think that you should be doing it for free. That'd wake you free-loading ass up to how the real world works. - HardHatMack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1US iTunes Store only, it seems.
- EyesOnly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Didn't know about these. Thanks man!
- gaius_baltar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1All of MP3 is illegal, they don't own the rights to jack *****.
- cybernezumi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Check out http://www.itsfreedownloads.com for a complete list of the current free downloads on iTunes. You can get updates by RSS and email too.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0damn not UK!
isnt allofmp3 one of those dodgy russian sites where the artists get no royalties?
emusic seems at best an eccentric collection of music. - vgl7892, on 01/03/2008, -0/+0for some reason this doesn't work anymore, was it taken off?
- Mysk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Dugg for the usefulness of it, though I didn't like any of the tunes myself.
Thanks for the heads up and additional links. - tachikomas, on 10/21/2007, -0/+0thank you for the cool digg. you have posted respectfully.
- XorSystem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great digg! I am eclectic with my taste and I'm really enjoying this music... plus it's free, I mean c'mon, how do you hate free stuff?
I hope someone posts a way to find all the free music on the IMS, my pod would be filled in no time:)
+Dugg - mehron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yeah, many songs are actually really good on this selection of free songs. I actually heard some of them before, like Shake Up Your Soul, for sure. I like it. :)
Thanks a lot for the link. Definitly dugg. - doipod, on 03/06/2008, -0/+0Apple give a free itunes single every week. See http://digg.com/music/Free_iTunes_Weekly
- dimplemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0you can also search in the iMix section and come up with other free songs to download from iTMS.
- Brainfish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not available in the UK. Hmmph
- capiendo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0these free songs are courtesy of Volvo. here's the Volvo iTunes page, look for the Nu albums:

http://beingted.blogspot.com/ - Doubtfulsalm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Free songs is free songs, regardless of what the preview sounds like I'm still gonna download them
- modpancake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thanks very much for digging this. I downloaded all 20, and I also got that album for 49ยข that the other person linked to in these comments. I will be listening to all of these later.
- derbykid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0open the links on ie
- trunkster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm a little confuse here.. each album has 4 songs for free and there are 4 albums. I count 16 free songs then.. since no one has said anything I must not be seeing them all or something.
- arostad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hmmm every time i click one of the links it brings me to the download page for itunes?
- Zachariah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+01. Yes, all the other options are currently better IMO than iTunes.
2. It is interesting to get the few free songs each week from iTunes.
3. JHymn makes iTunes even usable.
4. Here is the Playlist Notes for each of the first 4 songs (ie, the free ones) -- sorry it's an image, but iTunes doesn't allow copy-and-paste:

- trunkster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0n/m I see the main link is another one. I know something that would be awesome though, being able to EDIT comments.. anyway good digg.

not free but 6 songs for $0.49 and most are actually pretty good - whalesalad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like a lot of those. The funny thing is, some of them are free with these Nu albums, but if you visit the artist's page the songs are not free!
- mr.hostility, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"if you hate DRM so much use Jhymn"
THANK YOU SO GODDAMN MUCH! - Jammerdelray, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0never even heard of these
- sspooner, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1"For the love of pete . . .
Just use http://www.allofmp3.com/
Sure you have to prepay, but wouldnt you like to get your songs in OGG, WMA, AAC, MP3, and various Lossless codecs? I paied $3.00 for a cd today that I had encoded at 320 kbps Mp3, Can iTunes say that?"
The issue is, of course, that eventually the RIAA will come after you, since www.allofmp3.com is probably illegal in most countries other than Russia. These guys know it, that's why is gives you the warnings right there in the section "Is this legal?". At least with iTunes you won't get your ass sued off. - cozmyk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0wow scandonavian music rocks....right
- phillprice, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0US only, tsk
- kingofallchili, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Cool, I'm a frequent iTunes user and didn't know about these. Thanks. :-)
- darkmad, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Is this for real? Because I was stuck on loading the music store for a while and now I'm afraid someone stole my credit card information.
- harishsr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0The links aren't working for me... any help on getting to the page directly in iTunes 5?
- Wipeout, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Somebody is getting a star next to their name today. ;)
- bunkka, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0What crap.

Actually, they give you 50 FREE tracks of your choice as a free trial too. The whole catalog is 100% glorious DRM-free MP3 so works everywhere including your iPod.
I'm a long time customer. They don't have any of the boy bands or mega-label crap. But if you like independent label stuff & discovering new music - this is THE motherload. - FRAGaLOT, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2ok so wait.. these FREE songs still have DRM embedded in these files? WTF for, it's FREE!! They don't want us pirating free *****, or let people over seas have them? ***** Apple! Sick of their holier-than-thou attitudes, and their smug posh users even more so.
