- xShad0w, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Damn, 20,000 widgets and not one for porn....o wait
- ChristianBk, on 10/10/2007, -5/+9You don't need a widget - the iPhone itself improves your dating life.
- adamchristopher, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3i am digging you down for having that hack's "trademark" hand gesture as your image.
- imacashew, on 10/10/2007, -6/+9JESUS....what's with digg's logic for putting ***** on the front page? this article only has 89 diggs and 6 comments. I'm imagining something like this:
If (article.description.contains("iPhone"))
{
frontPage = true;
}
else if ((article.diggs > 200) && (article.comments > 50) && (article.reads > 2000))
{
frontpage = true;
}
else frontpage = false; - vvaduva, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The site is crawling on the iphone...AND on my laptop. They are having traffic issues and it's basically unusable
- keneally, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5Dugg for the SLEEPY comment
- shibbay, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2So this site archives blogs in widget form? These aren't really "apps"...
- dtpollitt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I hate the New York Mets
- etx313, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2***** is weak. Wizeeeak!

- cleverboy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1jabberwolf, why do you care so much? The iPhone is a truly great device, that doesn't have all the random ***** your commenting about. BIG ***** DEAL. I'm personally interested in Blackberries, if I didn't get an iPhone, that would probably be about it. It's just a personal preference. Browsing the Internet with my thumb on the iPhone is unlike ANY OTHER DEVICE in terms of lack of effort and sheer parity with my desktop. While it sits in the dock during the day, it slideshows through images as it plays through podcasts I downloaded before leaving for work in the morning. I'm finding it hard to leave my car when I get home, because I'm too busy browsing the web for some last minute thing before I head in. The whole experience is a trip, and has even turned people who have N95's to reconsider if they really need all that power, in favor of such a wonderful experience. Obviously its not for everybody, but it's really pathetic seeing someone like you making yet another list of "don't haves" like some goofy foghorn blaring over and over some voice of gloom.
Stop posting in threads like this. Move on with your life. It's been over a month now. Mark this story LAME and be done with it. - cleverboy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I had a story about YouTube limiting movies to 10 minutes get promoted with only 60 diggs, and then it mushroomed. What you ASS HATS don't get, is how much your own goddamn footprints, pageviews, and comments (and those that follow your comments, etc) effect how Digg promotes stuff.
Next time, help Digg offset your own footprint and mark the article as "LAME". Raise your right-hand and say, "You are DEAD to me." THEN, don't ever come back to it. Don't Digg it, don't comment in it, don't keep reading the comments. --Funny part is, --you'll NEVER do it! Ironically, most of the iPhone stories I read later and populated by comments (and countless reads) by people who don't know why the iPhone story got promoted. Engadget and Gizmodo had to berate some commenters repeatedly by saying, "Dudes, we supply what gets pageviews! If you don't like stories on a product, stop clicking them so much!"
It's pathetic. It's like someone complaining to a doctor that it hurts when they "do this", and the doctor wants to just pull out a knife and put them out of their misery for all the times he keeps telling them not to "do that". JESUS! I almost want to hunt you retards down and hurt you so you wouldn't keep haunting otherwise innocuous stories that I wouldn't otherwise spend two seconds reading.
I get it... too many iPhone stories make Homer go crazy. Well, take your crazy somewhere else, and get help. - InitialDMP5, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1no, does your 3G phone with GPS have a full internet browser? one that doesn't shrink or destroy the page to work on a mobile phone? does your 3G phone have WiFi? how many times do you actually use the crappy phone video to record anything?
stop complaining about stuff that isn't in a Version 1 phone. The first iPod didn't have many of the things that we have become so used to in an iPod. Like a color screen for one example.
point being, for every extra you mention that is not in the iPhone, there is AT LEAST something better or comparable that IS in the iPhone. - ChromaVita, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2The one that teaches you magic tricks.
- starvo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Zing.
- artabn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0They don't even have over 200 or 50 available. They are no where near 20,000. Misleading. Misdirect.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0YES to FULL browser
YES to Wifi
YES to removable battery
Have recorded friend, family, parties
You forgot about the GPS and turn by turn directions
Voice commands
Visual Voicemail which is simply atained by a free 3rd party user.
1st generations are lacking things that no one really has anyway.
The point that the iphone lacks things that people have had for the last couple of years! - LaSepultura, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Yes to everything but the 3G. I'm going to switch from Nokia to HTC though when the HTC Kaiser comes out soon.
You can pretty much get any new Nokia or HTC phone that will own the iPhone. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1www.appleopolis.com is better.....plusmo sucks in comparison....
- SteveNojobs, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1I'm not impressed.
My revolutionary phone, the iPoor, has a widget that manages your money, improves your dating life, cleans your house, does your shopping, and babysits your kids. - maheshee11, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1The best comment on the story, imacashew. Thanks, buddy.
