- loudthing, on 11/12/2008, -0/+16Hmmm... a lot of people would argue that Woz was the real genious behind Apple- well as far as their original tech goes. Jobs was more or less only interested in being the head of the business, and not the actual innovation.
The made for TV movie Pirates of Silicon Valley comes to mind. - jyaron, on 11/12/2008, -1/+16gerbil 480 processor - now with quieter wheel.
- farfromhere, on 11/12/2008, -0/+13I would ***** laugh if that makes front page.
- apollyon, on 11/12/2008, -4/+15How the hell did such a well-known photograph make the front page? You might as well submit the photo of Bill Gates' mugshot if you're going to submit this.

- solistus, on 11/12/2008, -4/+9I think it's a little unfair to write off Jobs as just the sales guy. Clearly, he was more focused on the business aspect whereas Woz was the engineer behind their early creations, but Jobs was also motivated by a vision. He was criticised by many early Apple employees for being too obsessed with the 'big ideas' he had for the Macintosh project to handle the nitty gritty business details properly. At any rate, even as a "business guy," Jobs was a genius in his own right, essentially creating the modern computer industry. Many of his most important/successful business ventures seemed crazy from a normal business perspective, from his initial belief that the uber geek hobby of personal computers could become a mainstream consumer industry to things like the iPod. I'll certainly grant you that Woz deserves *more* credit in terms of Apple's earliest successes, but Apple - and the industry we all know and love - would not exist if some random suit were the 'business guy' instead of Jobs. In fact, Apple *had* a third founder originally - a venture capitalist (always forget the guy's name) - who bailed on Apple well before the Macintosh was released because he thought it was a losing business proposition. Contrast this to Jobs, who sold his van and dropped out of school to pursue his 'impossible' ideas.
