- centerblack, on 11/08/2008, -1/+20So were you.
-Dad - falafelkiosken, on 11/08/2008, -0/+18Cyberduck != The Unarchiver
- theaverageidiot, on 11/08/2008, -2/+16Poorly written article with some retarded picture selections.
- purelithium, on 11/08/2008, -3/+15Really? Desktop Manager? Has this guy not seen Leopard yet?
SPACES. - garywoo, on 11/08/2008, -3/+14Xee looks cool, does it play animated gifs?
- purelithium, on 11/08/2008, -1/+11PC is shortform for Personal Computer, which over the years has become synonymous with any computer that can run the Windows OS, when in reality, most (if not all) computers you use on a daily basis are PC's, be it an Apple, Dell, Lenovo, etc.
- redwallhp, on 11/08/2008, -3/+13These lame comments never get old! Oh wait, they do. buried.
- bawpcwpn, on 11/08/2008, -1/+9I vouch for Bean and Perian.
- xenotek, on 11/08/2008, -1/+8The image they've used for Unarchiver is actually from a great free ftp management program called Cyberduck.

Also, I've found that Deeper is a bit shallow when compared to the functionality of TinkerTool
http://www.bresink.com/osx/TinkerTool.html - jonsterling, on 11/08/2008, -0/+7Yeah, I agree. These lists are actually quite useful to me, much more useful than what you would consider a more carefully thought out article. A list is great, because it shows me exactly what I am looking for: great new apps to try out, along with some screenshots. So, driha, bugger off.
- ridd1e, on 11/08/2008, -0/+7Yes. It also has full screen, slideshow (+ delay), loop and remembers zoom level.
- AnthonyFTMFW, on 11/08/2008, -2/+9So was your mom.
- designdraft, on 11/08/2008, -0/+6Buried for old or deprecated applications. Seriously, Leopard has Spaces, does anyone really need Desktop Manager anymore?
Only things I really like on this list are Bean and Skim. - MtheoryX, on 11/08/2008, -2/+8Here ya go, they're for sale right this moment:

ProTip: Macs ARE PCs. - inactive, on 11/08/2008, -3/+9Thanks, but I've already "bookmarked" Photoshop and Office.
- barrakuda, on 11/08/2008, -0/+5I like that the list is modest
15 free tools you SHOULD download.
as opposed to "the 15 tools you'll wonder how you ever survived without knowing about them" - melonhedd, on 11/08/2008, -1/+5Wait, why are we bookmarking these things instead of installing them?
- atgmac, on 11/08/2008, -0/+4The unarchiver (when it's not pretending to be cyberduck) is pretty good. Especially for RARs.
- Macintoshreader, on 11/08/2008, -0/+4Macintosh Personal Computer.
- techdever, on 11/08/2008, -2/+6"15 Free Tools For Mac OS X","great list of 17 Free Tools " everyone get out, the internet is about to explode!
- vwgtiturbo, on 11/08/2008, -0/+4BUYA!! hahaha
- steviesteveo, on 11/08/2008, -0/+3Clear SEO spam here - this user is trying to pad a blog's search result - Digg users shouldn't let this abuse happen
- DeepFreezed, on 11/08/2008, -0/+3lame
- drlha, on 11/08/2008, -22/+24These "15 great apps" articles never get old! Oh wait, they do. Buried.
- kreatre2007, on 11/08/2008, -0/+2Perian is good. The rest are crapware. I might use them once but then delete them later. Mac OS X has tons of functionality. The problem is that most users are too sloth like to notice. If you never take time to explore around, you'll never know what your computer can do. That goes for both Mac and Windows users.
- ATLien74, on 11/08/2008, -0/+2You're a PC aren't you?
- inactive, on 11/08/2008, -0/+2My MBP is a computer and it's for personal use.
- alansky, on 11/08/2008, -0/+1SuperDuper is a great program, but the free version omits the very useful scheduling and smart update functions. Bean is a truly excellent writing application.
- MtheoryX, on 11/08/2008, -0/+1It's a PC? What!?
- jggube, on 11/07/2008, -7/+8These all look very useful.
- Darkyuubi, on 11/08/2008, -0/+1MindNode seem very interesting. Will give it a shot.
- aserer511, on 11/08/2008, -0/+1RSSOwl looks cool
too bad tvtonic for VMC kicks it's butt - mj1903, on 11/08/2008, -1/+2I totally recommend iPod Rip: it just saved my bacon today!
- diggimator, on 11/09/2008, -0/+1If it remembers "last viewed image" in a CBZ file, it could be a replacement for ComicBookLover.
- clith, on 11/11/2008, -0/+1Note that Xee (the image editor) is an Adobe Air app. The article didn't mention that.
Or maybe it did and I skipped over it because of the poor grammar, bad spelling, and inaccurate screenshots (wrong apps).
Still, I gleaned a few new apps from it, so it's worth.. er, skimming, at least.
+1 - ToddyB3, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1Macs save time. When Windows glitches out my friends computer, thats a waste of time.
- MikeyTwit, on 11/08/2008, -0/+1SuperDuper in it's free form doesn't allow you to use the scheduler. This article is miss-leading
- JoelCox, on 11/08/2008, -0/+1This site does not deserve the smashing prefix!
- shibagarden, on 11/08/2008, -2/+3How does one bookmark an application?
- kanningt, on 11/08/2008, -2/+3Buried. Thought I might find something useful in here.
Leopard already comes with everything. 'Cept Perian. And VLC plays my .mkv files better anyway. - CptnEvilStomper, on 11/08/2008, -0/+0Eh... Perian is cool, the Unarchiver is good, and I use Xee just because it plays animated GIFs. The rest I really have no use for or there are other apps available that do the same thing better. Where's VLC, Camino, Adium, etc.? Plus if you go to opensourcemac.org you'll find a lot of the same apps on this list, plus about 30 or 40 other ones.
- bob129, on 11/09/2008, -0/+0must have!
- f3rdito, on 11/08/2008, -0/+0LOL
- f3rdito, on 11/08/2008, -0/+0I agree, TinkerTool is much better.
- darkXmatt, on 11/09/2008, -0/+0sweet :D
- centerblack, on 11/08/2008, -1/+1Skim looks cool, I'm going to download it now.
Perian is awesome, I use it on my AppleTV (with NitoTV) to play pretty much any video format out there.
Desktop Manager is crazy old... I'm not sure it's even being updated anymore? It's open source though. -
